I wish we take autopsy very serious instead of coming up with different scenarios that may be the cause of a death. The only way to find out is via autopsy as cause of death may not be murder but rather an accident. But once they've been taken to the morgue and the morgue pour in their preservation reagents into the bodies, that's the end of the road for the case. I'm sorry for your loss.

Police are looking for a fall guy. The lady may or may not be guilty. But judging from The Punch article, if true, they'd surely say she's responsible for the murder without doing further investigation.

Terrible event, I remember someone saying it is now almost impossible not to see a mob action or a dead body lying on the street if you grew up in Nigeria by the time the person is 14 years. Today it may not even take that long to see one, and it is getting crazier by day. What exactly did they accuse him of stealing? I bet the people that killed him did not ask! All they will be after is to beat and kill. It is a terrible thing to do. Most of the time the people who are quick to kill a person for an alleged crime are themselves hardened criminals. Karma is like a stretched rubber band, one day it'd come back to smack the hand that pulled it!

It's could be case of food or liquid poisoning. They probably visited a place prior or took same drink or food in the vehicle which weakened them and they could barely move or call for help before finally given up.
Observations from the pictures shows the man was kinda having stomach troubles hence he pulled part of his shirt up to get some relief and a closer look at his shirt close to his right chin shows some liquid or saliva flowing from his mouth before he gave up.
It's a very wicked a cruel world. We all got to be very careful and prayerful.

An autopsy can put an end to our speculations, but my money is on carbon monoxide poisoning.

Carbon monoxide detectors are so cheap. I think people with generator in close quarters should get one.

Takes less than 3 minutes to succumb at that point. They are helpless, have hazy vision and lack coordination.

I agree with you. It has led to deaths of loads of Nigerians using generator (especially I-pass-my-neighbor which is notorious for production of the deadly gas) in close proximity to their sleeping quarters. This is part of the reason I hate generators.

They just jumped to that conclusion, they assume what else could two people be doing in a vehicle with windows up parked in a corner? They may be right, but unless there is an eyewitness or CCTV somewhere that has videos of them actually talking, I'd just say they assumed that fact.

It has a higher chance of being carbon monoxide poisoning than being an AC leak as the gas used in AC is not fatal even when it is leaking.

Carbon monoxide is a suspect, seeing the glasses all wound up. I nearly died inhaling same. It is a silent killer that first puts you to sleep (knocks you unconscious). I just used my last strength to stand and turn off the offending generator. In a car with glasses up, you stand no chance if there is a leak.Carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless, hence it is a silent killer. They may have stopped for chat and left the engine running, the leak could have filtered into the car; it is a quiet silent kill. All these are just speculations, an autopsy could give us a clue. What a sad way to go.

If your phone number is there, the post office people will call you when it arrives. 17 days is not too long for an unregistered package to arrive; it can take up to 60 days to get to the destination.

The would-be husband will be most devastated, emotionally, mentally, physically and even financially. He needs sincere counselling, preferably by trusted individuals. I hope he is able to overcome it. Some people never recover from situations like this and end up as emotional wrecks- imagine someone vowing never to marry because the departed one is his/ her only wife/husband or going mental.

The groom to be deserves all the help he could get. This is the worst nightmare. Our drivers don't help matters, they pack people in cars without seatbelts. They overtake in blind corners. They do all sorts of acrobatics, for what you may ask? Just to shave off three minutes. Is three minutes worth a life? Our commercial drivers seriously need orientation as they are usually the worst culprit when it comes to flouting road traffic regulations.

Communication can go a long way into stopping a war. I wonder why people will rather die than just say what happened. At least, give the aggrieved some closure. This saga is like that of a parent with a missing child, each day someone reports seeing the child in a city 300 mile away. Another week the child is said to be 20 miles away. Next month the child is supposedly dead, but there is no body to show for it. Don't you think the parents will be better off really knowing what happened to their child? All that can only occur when someone who really knew what happened to the child steps up, to tell the truth, the truth may just be the child is dead. But then again, not knowing is never good, moving on becomes hard as you keep hoping it will be ok. Peace to everyone.

Not a permanent feature... You can use it for just the test. But the idea is just to show you can get a 15A real adapter, it's there in the Nigerian market. Thanks for pointing it out though.

I have been suspecting that the LG tech that repaired my 1hp inverter ac under wch was damaged by a kazzeem i called to refill gas, may have installed a 1.5hp compressor for me,, b4 the repair the ac was clocking in at abt 9 to 11% load on my 5kva inverter, now it clocks in at 16 to 19% load on gen mode, my watt meter is a 13amp socket, am too lazy to swap out the ac plug to a 13amp, so as to take accurate readings

any body has a wattmeter with 15amp socket for sale?

also folks shud shine their eyes, crooked ac techs abound,, my refrigrant all leaked out from the 3 acs the useless kazeem installed, all within 3 to 5months, making me believe has have done it on purpose since he was fairly certain i would call him and he would make small change from the refilling ops

Why not buy an inexpensive 15A plug adapter? And swap your AC's 15A plug with a 13A plug just for the test

You are right, drivers should have more patience to minimise accidents. However, our roads need to be properly built to accommodate the level of traffic they experience.

A lot of things still needs to be done in this country called Nigeria. But till it's done, I guess we just have to help ourselves.

My mum recently got a 1kva system and a 200AH battery. She wants to buy panels later this month, but she does not know if she should buy two 150w panels or just buy one 300w panel. By the way, what kind of solar charge controller will be needed for such a system ( 1kva & 2kva), and how much will it cost.

P.s. can one 300w panel charge two 200ah batteries?

How much does a 150w panel cost and a 300w panel?

A 50w solar panel can charge 8 numbers of 200ah, but the question will be how long will it take to fully charge it. To answer your question, the number of panels you use is dependent on two factors, how fast the battery drains and needs to be recharged (which is based on the load connected to it) and of course the number of batteries you are charging.

The more the load (bulbs, fans, TVs, etc) connected to an inverter, the faster the battery drains. Two 150w solar panels and one 300w rated solar panels are the same (if both are from same make and age).

BUT if I'm to hazard a guess without knowing the load, I'd suggest four 300w for two 200ah batteries or two for one 200ah battery.


As for the price of the solar panels, it is dependent on make and condition (new or fairly used). Wait, the marketers are coming


Charge controllers are two types PWM or MPPT. I think a good PWM may just do the trick. But if money is no object, get yourself an MPPT solar charge controllers as they are pricier.
