The Nigerian God loves accidents. It usually saves the most religious. Usually, this most religious person, who through the grace of his God, managed to escape the carnage will be very quick to share the graphic images of the unfortunate victims (who obviously needs his God) while praising his God who loved him so much but hated the dead. |
Juell:Bad bloggers who can't express themselves properly. |
Will there ever be peace? That's why I clutch my piece while I walk these streets. I'd like a full investigation carried out. I can only judge or have my say when I've heard from both parties involved. |
asiga:Not holding any brief for anyone, but that place looks like a morgue. Sadly, the police that did this may never be caught. They must've taken off. Like someone stated, some days from now it'd be a forgotten issue with the killer police back to the road waiting to kill another unfortunate victim. Nigerians are in trouble. |
Nothing surprises me anymore. |

kodred:If the purchase protection time elapsed, whether buyer confirms the deal or not does not matter as Aliexpress will automatically confirm the deal and remit money to seller if it has passed 15 days after the usual 60 days of purchase protection. That is why it always recommended to open dispute after the 60th day or before the 15 days allowed after purchase protection runs out. @omodavido you should have opened dispute with proof of not getting the product. Aliexpress will always pass a fair judgment. |
Ejimagifty:Oh, that's wonderful. Here's wishing you a quick recovery |
Didn't know we have such large numbers of doctors who through patient's description of his health issue could offer treatment via online OP kindly disregard all you've read here, especially those prescribing drugs for you. Do yourself a favor and visit a hospital, let the doctors do their job! |

Mac2016:I agree with you, Quora and Reddit has millions of users, but just try and type a racial slur or something of that nature and see how fast the comments disappear and how quick it leads to ban! I think by turning a blind eye to the tribalists, the owner and mods are complicit in keeping this tribalism alive. Does it worth the extra traffic? No! There should be zero tolerance for such behavior here. If every tribalists knows they'd earn a ban, they'd take their trolling elsewhere! |
I enjoyed The Call of The River Nun. Great writer . May he find peace on the other side . |
CrystalMax:The higher voltages 11kv, 33kv are for transmission purposes. We transmit at very high voltages to reduce loss in power and be able to use smaller sized cables. The 0.415KV or 415V is the voltage you get between phase to phase in a three phase system. If you take one phase and a neutral you'd get 230V which we is popularly used in most homes. So most of the three wires you see along the road have 415V in between two phases. Transmitting for very long distances we often use 132KV for that. |
WiseStarr:Arteriovenous malformations (AVM) are high-flow lesions having a direct connection between an artery and vein, with bypass of the capillary bed. Those affecting the upper limb and causing cardiac decompensation are rare. Treatment of such lesions remains a surgical challenge. Despite multiple procedures, total eradication is often not achieved. For some patients, limb amputation becomes necessary and carries significant risk. |

miketayo:Don't forget to mention that this venture can make you lose all you've got the same way it can also make you a wealthy person overnight. People going into it should know the risks involved. Peace. |
Since the topic is not about BB Naija or something to do with tribe so that the tribalists can have a field day, this article is likely NOT to get the attention it deserves even though it's on the front page. SMH. |
baugustine:Although I have no idea of the person you are referring to, but I just want to let you know that scammers are known to drop bogus positive and glowing feedback either by creating multiple accounts or through the help of the network of other scammers. |
The hypocrisy, the blind hate, the self-aggrandisement will be the death of progress in Nigeria as we know it. Here I see people congratulating themselves for being the holiest or pious and hence the reason for the so-called low HIV prevalence. Have anyone taken out time to check if there is high precedence of HIV in any state of the country that no one is really safe? Do you know why polio is still in Nigeria? I'd tell you, some decided due to either ignorance or religious bias and belief not to inoculate their wards. No one is really safe from contracting any of this disease as long as there is freedom of people travelling from state A to state B. Also, in everything statistics, you should take cognisance of things like people's ease of access to hospitals. What if state A has more people visit the hospital and is declared higher HIV prevalent while state B residents hardly visit any hospital? Part of the problem of Nigeria is that we are too tribalistic and religion blinds people to facts staring at them at the face. It makes people so blind that they don't even recognise trouble when it is sitting on their laps! What should be the way forward is to have more awareness created about the diseases, HIV is no longer the death sentence of the 1980s, carriers of the virus can even live more quality life than non-carriers if properly managed. |
FKBZ:A fan is about 80 to 100w for the regular fans and about 30 to 70w for the rechargeable type. A TV is from 55W (if 32 inch LED) if more the wattage increases, conversely, if less it'd consume less. A deep freezer wattage ranges between 200w to 450w depending on the size, make and model of the freezer and the temperature of the items in it. The freezer draws more current if, for instance, the things inside it are not cold; and the freezer takes less current if already cold. The favourite low energy bulb ranges from 3w to 20w. I'd assume the lamp you are using is 15w; therefore total power consumption is 45w for the bulbs. So assuming your total load, I can say you have 300w ( deep freezer) + 100w (fan) + 45w (bulbs) = 445w You didn't make any mention of the number of hours you plan to use it, so again, I'd assume you want to use it for six hours (between 10am to 3PM) Energy consumed is 445w x 6 hours = 2670 watt-hours (WH) If you are running a 24V battery system, i.e. an inverter that needs two 12V batteries to function, to calculate the theoretical number of batteries capacity required we have: 2670wh / 24v 111.25Amps dc per hour draws from the system. Battery capacity is expressed by how many Amps for how many hours a battery will last - Amp-Hour (A.H.) capacity. For 6 hours for a 24-volt battery, we will require 111.25 amps DC x 6 hours = 667.5AH If you are buying 200AH batteries that will be 667.5AH / 200AH = 3.3375 or approximatively four batteries. I see someone selling 200ah batteries 70k here. Though prices change dependent on make and quality. That means you require 70k x 4 = N280k for batteries. Now since the calculated energy is 2670wh, you will need some solar panels to replace the 2670wh of power consumed by the devices you run. A 300watt panel will produce in 6 hours of sunlight 300*6 = 1800wh. But we know in reality that it will not produce 100% of its rated capacity but rather between 30 to 50% of that. Going by worst-case scenario (30%) we have 1800wh * 0.3 = 540wh Therefore we will need 2670/540= 4.9444 which we round to the nearest figure- 5 numbers of the 300w panel. Assuming you buy the standard Chinese clone which ranges between 52k to 60 k you will require 52k x 5 = 260k In Summary Battery cost = 280k Solar panel cost = 260k I did not add the cost of the inverter and charge controller. I can only say the budget between 200k to 220k for both. That makes the total cost approximately 740k. This may be less or more depending on the quality of the product used and the person running the installation. I was only trying to give you an idea. Experts are welcomed to weigh in on this ![]() FYI: I did not add the cost of wires, installation of the solar panels, breakers and other accessories as that is dependent on the person(s) doing the job for you. This is just purely an approximate estimate. ![]() |

They've lost more than $24b in shares since Sunday. Grounding it may just be the quickest way to restore confidence in their products. I'm really a fan of Boeing and I hope they fix this to prevent more people from gruesome untimely death. |
