I have attached an extract from the manual of the hybrid Inverter I think I'll get. It shows the Inverter's charge controller can be programmed to deliver a charging current of 10A to 60A to the batteries. The default current to the batteries is 30A regardless of what gets to the charge controller. The excess will be sent to the load.

Also, the 3.2hrs from my previous calculation only applies if I'm using just one 200Ah battery. If using 4 batteries then it should take abt 12-13 hrs to charge from empty.

Do you know much about Mono and Poly Solar panels? All the research I've done shows that Mono is better. I'm just wondering why Poly costs more in the market.

On the contrary monocrystalline PV panel is more costlier than the polycrystalline type. The technology between the two had so advanced that the line that divides the two are today blurry. But the only difference is that polycrystalline panels tends to perform better under higher temperature while monocrystalline tends to perform more in cooler weather. Also, if space is not an issue, a 300w monocrystalline solar panel is smaller in dimension compared to the polycrystalline.

Charging deep cycle battery in 3 hours is an over Killing, deep cycle battry are not designed to charge that fast, u need to respect the rule of c10 unless u plan to b replacing ur battery every now and then

That's why the charge controller is there to do its job- regulate the amount of current that gets to the battery.

A friend once bought an inverter that looks like the type sold by iCellpower from PSCSOLARUK in Lagos and inverter had lasted for three years with no issues. However, I've heard great feedback on Felicity inverter on excellent after sales support. There is this annoying feeling that comes when you tried to resolve an issue and get only stories. So, I think it is worth buying from people who may not turn their backs on you as soon as the money hits their account.

There is never an overkill when it comes to solar panels, the more the merrier.
It means you'd have no problem getting your batteries to float (charge full) in almost virtually any weather condition. My neighbor uses 16 nos of 300W panels for his 48V inverter system comprising of 24 nos of 2v 500ah batteries. He's still planning to add more panels.

Most people believe a standalone cc is more robust and does a better job compared to the hybrid. That may be a subjective belief as some hybrid are pretty good, like in things of this nature you always get what you pay for. If you pay for premium quality, you'd still get that premium performance. The benefit of having many solar panels is your batteries get to be fully charged faster, and also gets charged on cloudy days. Also, the number of batteries determines how many solar panels you'd require for sufficient charging. E.g. if you install 24 numbers of 12V 200AH batteries, there is no way the size of solar panels will not be more than 20 250W, unless of course, you have a small load that it is catering for, in that case, you do not really need to size that battery bank that large to handle it.

It means you should start getting worried if after 15th March your package has not gotten to you. But for now you'd have to chill. It usually takes an average of 60 days to declare a package sent via post (excluding the likes of FedEx, DHL, etc) missing.

Fangpusun can handle higher current more than any of the other two and most users complain of being unable to use more than 6mm size cable on either the pv or battery terminal section of the MakeSkyBlue or Powmr CC, in Fangpusun you can easily use a 16mm cable on the cable terminating point of the CC. Fangpusun has more customization and data logging ability too. If you can afford it, go for it.

No matter the verbal confrontation, an armed officer should never open fire on an unarmed civilian. The military/paramilitary members are supposed to be "The best of men." If you cannot be the best of men which include knowing how to behave under pressure/confrontation, then the person has no business handling a gun! We shouldn't fear for our lives when we interact with members of our security agencies that gets paid via our taxes. Although I don't support jungle justice, I know of many area where the man that opened fire will be a mound of smoking flesh. The young men there did restrain themselves given the level of anger they experienced seeing a man shot dead for simply refusing to offer a 5k bribe!

That clone issue is hard to prove
There are these back and forth accusations between these two. The difference between the two is not much: by the way I have seen both and I don't really see any difference between them hardware wise apart from the software little difference. That being said, getting an MPPT won't be a waste of money.

I'm still a bit confused on the part the laptop charger plays.

i have an issue with my landlord not allowing pv installation so i really cant increrase my panels as i would want,and connect the two panels in series.

Also, how is it much of a difference to your landlord if you change your panel connection configuration from parallel to series as I think you already have two panels connected in parallel? I thought the problem he has is with you adding more panels.

i have a very small setup. two 100w panels in parallel charging a 180ahr battery. i average 40w draw on the inverter but thats not the issue. My battery measured 12.9v when i got it but i haven't been able to get it up to 12.7v ever since. i added a laptop charger to the solar input just to boost the input power. laptop charger clocks in at 89w and the battery voltages rapidly rises once there is power supply. but i noticed that once the battery voltage gets to 12.6v, the voltage drops to 12.4,3 and 2. looking at the wattmeter on the wall shows the charger watts drop to less than 3w.

my concern is why is the pwm cc disconnecting the dc source at 12.6v when it is set at a float of 13.8v?

It's not normal. I really do not understand the part about adding a laptop charger to the system. You mean you added the output (in DC) of a laptop charger to the input of the CC or directly to the battery?

I think the problem may likely be the PWM CC. Try getting an inexpensive MPPT ,and connect the two panels in series. Do you ever charge with the inverter? If you do, what voltage do you get when you do.

I wish we take autopsy very serious instead of coming up with different scenarios that may be the cause of a death. The only way to find out is via autopsy as cause of death may not be murder but rather an accident. But once they've been taken to the morgue and the morgue pour in their preservation reagents into the bodies, that's the end of the road for the case. I'm sorry for your loss.

Police are looking for a fall guy. The lady may or may not be guilty. But judging from The Punch article, if true, they'd surely say she's responsible for the murder without doing further investigation.

Terrible event, I remember someone saying it is now almost impossible not to see a mob action or a dead body lying on the street if you grew up in Nigeria by the time the person is 14 years. Today it may not even take that long to see one, and it is getting crazier by day. What exactly did they accuse him of stealing? I bet the people that killed him did not ask! All they will be after is to beat and kill. It is a terrible thing to do. Most of the time the people who are quick to kill a person for an alleged crime are themselves hardened criminals. Karma is like a stretched rubber band, one day it'd come back to smack the hand that pulled it!

It's could be case of food or liquid poisoning. They probably visited a place prior or took same drink or food in the vehicle which weakened them and they could barely move or call for help before finally given up.
Observations from the pictures shows the man was kinda having stomach troubles hence he pulled part of his shirt up to get some relief and a closer look at his shirt close to his right chin shows some liquid or saliva flowing from his mouth before he gave up.
It's a very wicked a cruel world. We all got to be very careful and prayerful.

Carbon monoxide detectors are so cheap. I think people with generator in close quarters should get one.

I agree with you. It has led to deaths of loads of Nigerians using generator (especially I-pass-my-neighbor which is notorious for production of the deadly gas) in close proximity to their sleeping quarters. This is part of the reason I hate generators.

They just jumped to that conclusion, they assume what else could two people be doing in a vehicle with windows up parked in a corner? They may be right, but unless there is an eyewitness or CCTV somewhere that has videos of them actually talking, I'd just say they assumed that fact.
