I wish we could stop making some type of people famous.

This problem could've been resolved if there is communication between the two. But as with most Nigerian service provider, once they get paid they go MIA. Nothing hurts your relationship with a client as ignoring them when they have a problem. Even if you are swamped with work, three sentences is all that may be needed to de-escalate the issue from becoming a full blown irreversible issue as is the situation now. Anyways, the deed is already done and many coming afterwards will think twice before dealing with the OP. GOODLUCK.

...as I want to buy it but I don't understand much of its specs and ratings.

I've seen good reviews of this unit, but I still won't buy it as the price does not justify what it can do. I think it's an overpriced piece of equipment. I'd rather buy myself some premium Lifepo4 batteries rather than this expensive piece of backup powerbank.

It depends on the make, model, and type of lithium batteries in play. People often tend to overload portable all-in-one solar system aka solar generator. Some of them are built for emergency, camping situation and as backup, not as main source of energy supply.

What to consider while buying is to know the size of battery and hence load you'll safely run on it.

It is a handy device to give one a taste of the renewable experience. In my experience, most solar generators from China usually have capacity far less than the stated capacity. It is not hard to see a 48WH solar generator labeled as 480WH capacity. It's made in China and they can afford to stick any label on their product without any repercussions.

Also, most of them use the lowest quality lithium batteries and $1 BMS, lol, to construct the solar power generator.

He should also remind them to breath.

Ok. Shouldn't there be punishment for accusers of this nature if it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that they lied? Should we always allow them to walk scot free to try again later in the future? I think the law should make examples of these fake #MeToo ladies who try to bring most great men down for their own selfish agenda.

That's a good question, you don't just barge into a country and call up someone simply because you happen to be friends when you were kids. The entitlement mentality exhibited by some people can be nauseating. Most people living outside Nigeria live a very organised life, if anyone plans to visit, they should first of all inform the "friend" of how long they plan to stay to give the host the chance to check if it's something they can handle. Informing the friend you are visiting without telling the host in clear terms you want them to accommodate you may lead to them "not picking calls" when you ask for help.

Constant cloudy days and rain are the bane of solar energy users during the rains. But the good news is when the rain is over and the sun gets to blaze, the yield you'd get will far outstrip that which you'd harvest during the dusty dry season.

People give religious leaders too much power, so much power that most of them thinks they can do ANYTHING and get away with anything. Sadly, in this part of the world, religious leaders are like gods, whatever they say is taken as the best and final say. Before I used to think they have power only over the poor, these days, even the rich dance to their tunes.

The fans are the normal ceiling fans we were using before as well as one small ox fan( the smallest size) which we put off by 11pm. Yeah, there is someone selling low energy ceiling fans here. And yes, there are low energy fans which don't consume as much energy as the conventional fan.

Once again, thanks for your input. I now have two systems. Like I said, I paid for that 33 bulbs package first. It came with 33 LED solar bulbs(DC), 2 controllers, 2 200 amp batteries and 6 100w panels. The bulbs were 5w but very bright. I told him to create a completely new points for the 33 bulbs apart from security lights. He did it in such a way that the security lights goes by 7pm on its own and goes off by 7am on its own. Based on your advice, I now got a new single unit using my fformer 3.5kva inverter. This new company brought 4 200ah ALL GRAND BATTERIES, 6 340W SOLAR PANELS, 60AMP CHARGE CONTROLLER. I TOOK most of the bulbs away from from the unit allowing the initial 33 bulbs to run. So I have tested the two systems but I must confess, the guy with the 33 bulbs system is more reliable and efficient. I would have gone for his other packages. Why? The light is never off come what may. I run a hospital within but we don't put any big thing on the solar inverter other than one computer unit, 2 LED TVs and about 13 ceiling fans with some energy bulbs. But the single unit still trips off sometimes around 4am once there is no light. And you have the inverter to control as you wish. But for the direct solar...no inverter, you have nothing to worry about. You don't care about overloading it. Just on light and go. I think they have calculated it so much cos I begged him to make it 35points even if I will buy the bulbs and other stuffs but he said he was only generating energy to sustain the 33 bulbs for 24hrs. He said he could do it such that the light will only go on when someone enters the room and goes off when they leave but I told him I don't want. It means during the day, as long as someone is in the room, light must go on. Since there is light, we can as well put it off rather than running the battery down fast. So far so good, I have less to worry about the direct solar. Just press switch, you have light. No inverter to beep. Nothing to do at a for now. But the solar inverter ..you need to consider the load so you don't run down the battery fast. For the solar, it has been well structured for you. I am still observing the two systems but so far so good, it has never failed to bring bright lights both day and night. I would have considered his solar fan package too cos he said that one too will run anytime without failure but I didn't believe him.

13 ceiling fans (especially the non energy saving fans which I saw someone selling her for 25k) is approximately 1300W which is a bit high considering the number of batteries you have. Hence the reason it may go off compared to the 5w bulbs system (5w*33bulbs= a mere 165w) whose load is much smaller.

I have not really had ugly experiences with Nigerian post. Matter of fact, it seems NIPOST is trying so hard to re-brand itself as a reliable and dependable company with their recent impressive performance in item delivery.

I guess the swap occurred at the point of inspection by customs. I noticed that some of my parcels are occasionally opened and re-sealed. That is not bad in itself as it is to ensure that the items described in the parcel is what is inside and not some contraband good and it is usually perfectly re-sealed.

Problem is when the description on it says "phone" and the officer goes ahead to open it, not with the intent to confirm the item but with the intent to steal.

By the way, this does not only occur in Nigeria. The difference is that the culprits are usually caught in saner climes. Something of that sort occurred in the US involving the officers charged with checking out goods at airports. Hundreds of tablets and apple ipads kept missing. So one journalist set up his device and had the location turned on. It was tracked to house of one of the officers. He initially denied it, but a spy application installed on the device kept beeping/ringing when it was pinged from tracker that the journalist held. I used to have the video of the crime burst.

Thank you for saying it as it is. Those guys really work hard these days to ensure people get what they have coming for them.

What if I told you I've gotten both phones and laptops and will still get same from NIPOST without any of it getting lost? Sometimes we should applaud the people working hard to rebrand and make things work. I will say NIPOST services have been super excellent from all my experiences so far.

Yes, just that it does not come cheap. My neighbor runs three freezers off solar. Dude has not seen NEPA for like three years yet his house is never without electricity. If you can stand the high initial cost, then you are good to go.
