Not trying to throw dirt on any religion, but I once lived near a church where the pastor prays for yahoo boys (fraudsters) to be successful. You may think I am making this up, but I'm not. People respect money in Nigeria. Integrity is nothing; you are referred to as a fool if you are upright and principled. I see no end in sight; I hate what the yahoo had made us into, they make it difficult to buy things online in most places like Amazon, eBay, etc. Many sellers do not ship to Nigeria. If you interact with a foreigner the first they think is Nigerian Prince, some very hardworking Nigerians are losing out to these very bunch of misfits that low IQ hail as messiahs due to their stolen wealth. I just wish karma get to serve them their dish cold when they are old, let someone wipe their savings and make them feel the pain.
crafteck: Hes point is we comercialized Christianity, even those that brought it to us especially while enslaving us no put am 4 head like una
You made loads of sense here. Unfortunately, a typical religious Nigerian will rather have your head than listen. We pray for things we can do. We pray for good roads when someone in Ministry of Transport had stolen all the money. We pray when the vehicle we are in is not fit to transport wood in sane countries and blame the devil when the car careens off into a gully on the road. I don't engage people about Nigeria and religion. It's simple why I don't, the people you engage are too blind to see the harm caused by the bad way Nigerians practice religion.
SalamRushdie: Definitely a hit by govt backed hits squads that roam the phillipines on bikes looking for suspected drug dealers to kill and get secret rewards from the durtete govt ..this mans faith was sealed immediately he was handed that bail a lot of bounty hitmen would have been in race for the first to bag him .
The government backs killing of drug guys. So your thoughts may not far from the truth.
MistadeRegal: This is very sad! His first day at work became his last! Whenever I just remember that day, I do have goosebumps! Because I should have been history since then. I just can't thank GOD enough for sparing my life. Many Engineer had truly been killed in such accident, I really thank GOD I'm not included. That's why the inscription, MACHINE UNDER MAINTENANCE is compulsory.
The thing is needed. The people you worked with should know what it means too. I won't be surprised if some high "performer" thought the work was down due to a particular shut down and decide to power back operation with someone still trapped inside!
Jeezuzpick: He's in a factory, and he had isolated the machine he's working on. Someone else came along and just switched on without properly investigating why it was off.
What should apply would be a "service in progress" tag on the affected swithgear.
Methinks the company has to work on an HSE policy.
I agree, the HSE urgently needs an overhauling to avoid a repeat of such an event. But sadly it can't help the dead guy.
MistadeRegal: I was servicing the main extruder drive. Since all the wires were not labelled, I just removed the 6 cables. (RYB & UVW) You know, when GOD wants to show HIMSELF great, anything can happen! I've switched off the gear switch, and the Drive MCCB, held the RYB cables right in my hand and separating the lugs with each of my fingers. The cable lugs were right between my fingers and I was using the other hand to work. While I was still working I and the man(electrician) asked to stay with me in case I'd need assistance heard their supervisor's voice asking who switched off the machine. And that was how the whole scenario began. Honestly, I really thank GOD for HIS saving power! When he was later called to come over, he was in utter shock when told what he had done.
That is why such switch should have a sign on it. If it's extremely high voltage switchyard, like the 330kv, there is a lock on the isolating switch so that no one will mistakenly energise it while work is ongoing. This type of mistakes had killed many engineers and technicians.
Watch what happened in this Barcadi factory. The supervisor accidently turned on the switch to a conveyor while a staff was working there. It was his first day at work which turned out to his last day. Sad event.
I'd always implore people to use their seatbelts. Do not wait until you sight the men of the Federal Road Safety unit before scrambling to put on one. My cousins are still alive today because of the common sense to put on one. There was a crash which made the vehicle flip a couple of times. Had it not being for the seatbelts, they could have been either seriously injured or dead. They only suffered minor scratches which did not need any treatment other than an X-ray with revealed no broken bones and some painkillers.
Another instance, a fellow I know was driving someone to the nearby park. He drove without the seat belt after all; people think seatbelts are for long or interstate journeys. Barely 100m from their home, a crazy truck driver slammed into the SUV; it was a head-on collision. He smashed his chest into the steering wheel and is still in a coma as I type. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Always put one on, even if the distance is 20m. It does not kill if you put one on, but it may kill you if you don't.
SouthEastFacts: I am only responding to your signature. Have you seen aboki marry more than 1 wife? When a muslim marries 4 wives as stipulated by the will of allah, that makes it 5. As long as islamic marriages are captured it the data, then there is that possibility.
I am American. I dunno you guys marry lots of wives
ewebiodun: Its not just about kemi. Its about the contents of the message. Nigeria is a horrible country. There are thousands of innocent people locked up in the prisons for no reason.
Our moral fabric as a nation is so warped that God himself will begin to think if he created Nigerians. It's really terrible, its kemi today, it could be u or ur loved one 2mao. I hace seen people sent to prison just because they did not have ID on them. Injustice is injustice no matter how we paint it
You are the only person who understands the message being passed. Even if she's the worse blaspheming scum on earth, no one deserves what the system is doing. Now you could understand why some people have zero iota of compassion for our law enforcement. I once saw a road safety guy knocked down by a hit and run driver. No driver stopped to help as he lay on the ground bleeding. Experiences such as these harden people's mind. Nigeria is just warped in the way justice is dispensed.
A personal flotation device (abbreviated as PFD; also referred to as a life jacket, life preserver, life belt, Mae West, life vest, life saver, cork jacket, buoyancy aid or flotation suit) is a piece of equipment designed to assist a wearer to keep afloat in water. The wearer may be either conscious or unconscious.
RIP young one. How much is life vest that most boats here don't have it? Because of this I made a check online and found it it sells for less than $20 (shipping fees inclusive). Going by GTB's crazy exchange rate of N375 per $, that is N7500. Is a human life not worth N7500 in this my country called Nigeria? This is not the first time someone drowns because of lack of life vest.
Frankyboy1: I pray you scroll down enough to read my message! Forget what kids are saying down there, I am a man who has been in the game long enough to advise you. DON'T MARRY HER! You have always loved her and she has been ur childhood crush and your kind of ideal woman all along, but she is not who you thought she was all this while! She is not and has never been in love with you neither is she naturally attracted to you! She likes you enough to MARRY you, cause as a woman you foot the bill and the time is right, but for her withstanding you sexually all these years, but was dishing it out to someone else and even insisted on keeping the child outside wedlock! Ogbeni that is the man she really loved! A woman that loves you and is sexually active, can't withstand ur advances for years even when she knows you were genuine about her! Find a girl who loves you for you, and has good moral standards, but her knees grow weak at ur touch or advances! If not you 're marrying a woman whom after a while ur sexual advances might even irritate her! Sexuality and raw chemistry is a big ingredient in marital relationship
Iloveafrica: Good morning sir/ma please, I fractured my wrist and a cast was placed on it since 6 weeks ago. my concern now is that, I heard a lot of people saying "An arm cast becomes itchy whenever it's healing" but in my own case, for the past 6 weeks that the arm cast has been there, I've never felt any itches on the wrist.
What could be the cause?
Relax, the itch is on flesh wounds healing, if there's no flesh wound, you won't experience it.
RIP to the late politician. I see the people in the pic are really pained.
On a side note: what happens to the casket that is used to bring the body?
