umarfantami:If you can, I'll recommend you use a third party shipper as they have ways of bringing in stuff like iPhone without paying crazy custom duties. The custom duty for iPhones varies, but the few I've seen is never small. I've seen a guy pay ₦80,000 for iPhone X. He was furious as it was a gift sent to him by his bro. You may get lucky and receive your item without custom duty fee. But the postal agencies always have a thing for Apple products, they love to give em hefty custom charges. |

dammodee911:The output frequency of your generator appear to be ok. But isn't 275v to 285v too high? Most over voltage cut off devices will cut off voltages above 242v. I think your generator's output voltage is too high and may be the reason the inverter cannot charge on gen use. Consider either fixing the generator's high voltage or getting an AVR. But I think the latter is not really a cost effective fix. |

gadgetplanetng:I just saw it it now. Lol at oporating and "mor". WTF is "imadanco"? ![]() |
gadgetplanetng:Are you afraid it may be these people? ![]()

Trippledots:A neighbour once used one like that for two years. He still sold it and added money and bought a new one. I still wonder who bought it from him ![]() |
ladykilllar:You may need to edit and type the name in full in case someone searches Nairaland. I have this earbud mine still works well. Nearly lost the case one, but got lucky and got it back. |
paulmarkino:Why not buy Amazon HD 8 (2020) release from Jiji instead of spending the almost same thing on this while running into issues of dollar wahala and goods getting lost in transit plus crazy wait time? At least this is a known brand (I checked out both and they appear to have same configuration) this unknown Chinese brand may just have same spec and perform woefully.

Trippledots:Well since you say it's a steal, then that's a nice way to get some feet wet in this incredible RE experience. |
Marrvelous:In AliExpress you do less work. Sellers often ship their products. Their MOQ is lower. I've seen great deals in Alibaba but sellers won't talk to me as I only wanted to buy a miserly 20 pieces. The seller has an MOQ of 500. Alibaba is like DIY while AliExpress is like getting it already made. But if you know how to work Alibaba and you are buying many, you'll surely get a cheaper deal at Alibaba. |
Marrvelous:You can check out the following points as a to-do list: 1) Check the review of the item you want to buy, if you can't see it...check other reviews of similar products sold by the same seller. Sometimes I even Google the name of the particular store to check reviews, just in case they have somewhat deleted older bad reviews If all are good, proceed to No 2 2) Chat the seller and tell them how many MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) you want to buy. From experience I've seen sellers with MOQ of 1 boldly written on product that I chat up and they'll tell me MOQ is 1000. Also ask them how much they are selling the products, most of the prices you see are often clickbaity in nature to get you to click ![]() Sellers in Alibaba wants to sell in large quantities, they'll often ask if you are buying for private use or whether you are buying for sale. Of course, I'm always buying for sale You know the perceived big buyers get all the perks and benefits. Lol. Remember you can negotiate downwards whatever they tell you. But if they insist that's the last price, that may probably be the last price. 3) Have a means of shipment (sellers will often ask if you have a forwarder in China), because when you chat up seller to enquire about pricing, they'll ask you where you are shipping it to. If you allow sellers to chose a shipping method for you, be ready to pay a crazy amount of money. I've only used a seller's shipping method once, because it was a steal ( $40 using DHL for a 1.5kg item). 4) Chat up other sellers too for same product to see who sells the cheapest. I sometimes chat up to 7 sellers from different part of China selling same goods to get a correct deal, of course I'm never in a hurry to close a deal. Some of the sales rep can be pretty persuasive, but you can't pressure me to make any purchase. ![]() 5) If a seller is very slow in response (note the time difference of 7 hours ahead if you are in Nigeria) I don't usually deal with em because if you run into problems, chances are they won't ever reply again especially after the deal is done. 6) Sometimes ask all the questions about the specs, don't just trust everything you read in the specification are correct. Eg I've chatted sellers and asked point blank if the batteries I'm interested in is used, it turned out it was used but still has about 80% capacity left. Note, this important factor is nowhere written in the description. That is why I often asked questions like these when buying batteries from a new seller: "Are these brand new cells or fairly used?" "Are these grade A or grade B cells?" "What is the total capacity of these batteries after running a test" I'll ask the last question even when I see 200ah written as capacity. You'll be surprised to the answers you get when you ask. But if you don't ask, they often won't tell ![]() 7) Some sellers may encourage you to pay them outside of Alibaba protection, always say no to this. The only time I've paid outside of here was an old customer that I've already had several deals going back years. Lastly, do your research on products you are buying, you'll be surprised to see people selling it cheaper in Nigeria. I never buy a product that I'll get cheaper in Nigeria. I always add the total cost, shipping and cost of product. If higher than what it's sold in Nigeria I won't deal. But in my case so many of the things I buy are not even sold here, or if it's sold here I don't know where to get em. Goodluck. |
Bradiyung:I don't think it will be too much hassles. Just pick whatever you want to pay for, select Western Union as your mode of payment, click confirm and go to the Western Union or FX section of the bank with the payment detail. Give it a try and update the house how it went down. Worst case scenario it wouldn't scale through; you can always cancel the order. Nothing lost. |
chiboyne:Logistics is not like an exact science where 2+2 will always be 4. So each shipping is different even when done by the exact store using the same logistics. Sometimes all you gotta do is wait, if at the end of the day you don't get your package, there is dispute to be opened and refund to be done by AliExpress. |
ayobamizz:I heard ₦504/$ and $50/month limit |
Bradiyung:The only bank that it's naira card can do this payment at once appears to be Standard Chartered bank. Other ways to go about it is to ask sellers to split the payment into two (many will not do it, but correct sellers do) so you can pay with either of Access, GTB or Zenith which currently has $20 limit per month. Or open a dom account and fund it with dollars @₦600+ per $ and buy at once. I have not tried any other means of payment apart from debit card on AliExpress, but I've done Wire Transfer (TT) on Alibaba from a dom account. Also as a side note, on the boot you want to buy kindly check the addition feedback of those that had bought it and used it after some days. You'll be shocked to see some 5-star review drop to 0 star feedback after some days ![]()

anungangampu:DHL, dunno if it'll be cheap though. |
WHITELIGHTER:Did ₦490/$ today |
sleekender:Get a 10KWH battery |
sleekender:Pylontech EG4 BYD |
Moneyboyz:That's great. Yeah missing features are usually a thing when one tries to repair it. |
Fucklove:Just the regular naira debit MasterCard. |
UDanny:Zenith Bank is not doing well |
Zenith Bank $1 = ₦494.77 today. |
Babalegba:Just paid for something now with my GTB, maybe you've exhausted your 7 months reserve ![]() |
Babalegba:Tried to do a $28 payment now after using $16, GTB no gree. Tried again for a $3 and it went through. So I doubt it'll be GTB. |
HeadofNairaland:My neighbour tried this some years ago, but wait till the sun messes up the transparent tape. Your PV surface will be looking as scaly as a crocodile's skin. |
Moneyboyz:The controller is specially rated to match with your ebike's motor and other features. So check your old ebike's controller and buy accordingly. |
Moneyboyz:The picture you showed shows an ebike brushless DC motor controller, it's hard to repair when it fails. Your best bet is to check the type of controller it is and buy another from AliExpress. I have a spare controller that I bought $15 for one of my ebike in the event it fails. Here's a link to check the controller for one of my ebike: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNsTxRg Always ensure the controller is in a place water can't reach...even if I run in water, water can't get to my controller. |
rust6:Don't bother reaching them as the customer care is wack and they won't help you do anything. Just find a way to resolve your problem as NIPOST will never help you find a fix. |
Onyeka90210:Oh, more like it. GTB still ₦490 though. |
