I have the Bourne series too in paperbacks: including The Bourne Legacy, The Bourne Sanction, The Bourne Deception. So, if it is Bourne, we're gonna have a hell of a discussion to engage.
Aren't you the reader! I'm gonna find the three I don't have. But yes and yes! If its Bourne, we can debate till kingdom comes.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Eating And Drinking At Burials Part Of Christianity by megareal: 6:17am On Jan 14, 2013
BTW, entertainment during burials isn't about christianity, its more of a cultural thing as it is done by most people in Nigeria irrespective of their religious inclinations.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Pentecostal Christians Shake Their Heads Vigorously While Praying? by megareal: 2:13pm On Jan 13, 2013
Pangea: I get more amazed daily at the ignorance of many dumb cret.ins posing as Mr. Know All on nairaland
Many just use their good for nothing hands to type rubbish, inviting more sorrow into their lives, what makes me mad is the fact that many of these people are professing that they are christians or from such homes. Its rare to find a muslim attacking any facet of their mode of worship but these omo ale will always find something rotten to write about their faith!
To the topic,
Prayer is an expression of the soul trying to contact its maker, its a way of communicating with the spiritual, its a cry for help from above.
There are many instances and inferences in the bible where passionate prayers were demonstrated and which you may call getting physical with prayers:

Jesus was praying in the garden of Gethsemane for the cup to go over him and the bible recorded that his sweat was as thick as blood, such prayers are not ordinary, it must have been physical for him to be sweating like that in an open and cold garden before dawn.

Another example is Elijah, after the bloody power play with the prophets of Baal on mount carmel,
He wanted to pray for rain and the bible recorded that he sat on the ground and put his head between his laps to pray!
I'm sure many on Nairaland seeing such prayers would have called him mad, but Elijah prayed such acrobatic prayers and got results.

No wonder unusual things are no longer working with prayers again, because many new generation christians always attack what they don't understand.
I rest my case!
In total support.

To each his own. As long as it satisfies their desires. Just because you don't fancy something, others shouldn't do it. I'm against excessive spending but if a life has been well lived, by all means, celebrate it.

Thank God that he spared your life. I would have been happier if something had been done about the guy that was shot. I'ts good to think about people in worse conditions than ourselves. Sometimes God saves us so we can save others. The altruistic nature of Nigerians is fast fading. I hope the poor guy had help on time.

Larry-Sun:
The Bourne Identity is a nice book, truly. I read it about two months ago, it's really pulse-quickening dose for lovers of hard-boiled thrillers. I think we should have agreed on a genre before choosing a book. Getting the link for Bourne is not very easy. I'm sure the person from whom this suggestion came doesn't have the link either. Anybody who has the link may kindly drop it. If not, we may visit manybooks.net for a befitting alternative.
Bless you.
You are right. It may not be easy to find a link to most renowned authors. I have the hard copy of Bourne Identity and its sequel Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum. First read Bourne in my SS2. As you rightly said, we can pick any good alternative from manybooks.net.
CrimeRe: Wife Beats Husband To Death by megareal: 12:54pm On Jan 09, 2013
It's a pity. Guess the woman is in a daze right now. She will have to come to terms with the death of her husband and the realization that she was the cause. Domestic violence should never be condoned. It leaves too much bitterness and regrets behind. BTW, the charge should be manslaughter not murder.

ositadima1: U read all d series before u finished ur jsss, dat is impressive. Did u understand it, at dat age? The stories are short but intricate, wow
Funny enough I did. I was a voracious reader and had been exposed to lots of books by then, somehow I understood the plots. I started writing after him in Jss 2. Sadly I never published any.

Bolushalom: This may be unbelievable buh i read THE DOLL'S BAD NEWS when i was primary school..i can remember d story faintly... read anoda one afterwards, i think Golden fish or something....i knw he is a gud writer nd my dad's a fan...im more of JOHN GRISHAM..
Its not unbelievable. I read Hadley Chase when I was in primary too. Got it from my coz. I'D read all his works before I finished JSS. I remember my principal caught me one day and told me I was going to be a very bad girl if I kept reading Chase. I've grown up and read other books, and I'd say Chase isn't among my best authors anymore. Grisham is.
