The comments I read on this site makes me realize the number of witches and wizards in this country is on the increase. This is the reason why this country is like this.

They never rejoice at any good news concerning their own country, Instead they rejoice at evil reports that affect the country. Nigeria ranked 15th in the present FIFA ranking and a lot of people are saying FIFA made a mistake, FIFA is wrong in their rankigs.

The yoruba man will say AJE BURUKU.

Even Ngige himself has agreed that Obi has construted more roads than his Government and pls people tell me the difference btw 3 and 4 years? We in Anambra, know whom we are going to vote for, so enuff of these funny claims and counter claims.
And only a fool we forget the fact that everyone is entitled to his opinion on this issue.
Only a fool will try to impose his opinion on others.

All these foolish media houses given awards. The Anambra elecrion is so close and it is now they want to give him award for most trustworthy Governor. Very Good campaign strategy.

That local Champions Newspaper must have pocketed a huge chunk of money from Obi and his team.

You Excellency,
Physical achievement is what we need not purchased awards fom one local media house.

Of course!!!! When they consider their interest in Nigeria, they have no choice.

How does the review affect the lives of 90% Nigerians living below the poverty line & terrorised everyday by hunger, starvation, injustuce, deprevation and lack, extortion and brainwashing?

just right:
Nigeria should remain on that list. A country where life is taken without consideration. Loss of lives means nothing to the Government either. NAIJA SHOULD REMAIN ON THAT LIST. I DEY VEX.
Maybe it would have been better if you were a citizen of Zimbabwe, then you smell the terror from Mugabe or a citizen of other African countries who believe in war war war.
sjeezy8:
keep them on the list,
OMO IBO:
This is just lip service. Nothing will come out of this.

Besides, it will do Nigeria more good than harm if we remained on that list.

its better for Nigeria.
A guy on this forum gave a good Yoruba proverb, he said '' A child does not point to his father's house with the left hand.

Where a lot of people are devoting their time to pray for this nation, people like these are busy with their pessimistic nature bad mouthing, cursing and wishing the nation evil. Well, we are all together in this nation so whether good or bad we shall enjoy it. Keep wishing evil.

@ post

A hasty decision taken by America which was borne out of sentiment. Why didn't they put UK on the list? A disciplined father took his time to warn them on the activities of his son and they disregarded the information but they hastily put us on the list. How many Amerian parents will do that.
Bin laden warned from his latest speech that they are presently training some Americans who turned muslims. With this information, I hope America will put their own names on the watch list.

America!!! A self righteous nation who take actions based on their own selfish interest.

Nsofor is really getting to irritate me with the way he ballons the ball anyhow. No wonder Mourinho makes him warm the bench. Doesn't understand the tip tap game. He can never fit into a team like Barca or Arsenal. Just keeps shooting from all corners and the ball goes wide with getting close to the post.

Gosh !!!!

A man like Alameisegha should be hiding and never be heard talking or commenting on any public issue but idiots like him take the country as they like. no respect for the people of this country and the painful truth, some paid touts will truly be screaming and dancing naked on the street that they want Alameisegha back.

Anyday and Anytime, I will say Obasanjo meant well for the country. Yes he made mistakes which I regard as only human. No one can say he purposely handed over to a sick president. He is not God to determine the health state of Yaradua and going by his statement, medical reports certified Yaradua okay.

If you say he imposed Yaradua on Nigerians, I will say it is only human. Which of you will be President of the country and not prefer to hand over to your brother.
George Bush, Bill Clinton all had interest when handing over. It is human.
The good thing is that he was not selfish to handover to a fellow Yoruba man. Handing over to Yaradua was in the interest of peace. You and I know what could have happened if he handed over to a Southener.

Today we crucify Obasanjo but as at that time Yar'adua had one of the best credentials as Govenor in Nigeria. Even the BBC enumerated his achievement as Governor of katsina state.

He had reserves when he was leaving as Governor of katsina. When he became president, he showed the way to other public officers by declaring his asset. Then Nigerians were applauding and screaming, the Messiah has come.

Today we crucify Obasanjo because of Yaradua's ill health. We might not have been any better if we were in his shoes.

Sam Milla:
I want to say something. This is called politics.
Lagos state gave 1 million dollars. Despite that it was a goodwill gesture, it was out of other.
No state jumps over its federal government on such issues.
Lagos should have consulted the federal government to know their plans before throwing money around.
That's practically your opinion but remember this is a federal system and there is no policy that a state must consult the federal government before making donations.

Sam Milla:
All in All, Lagos state shouldnt have donated that money before federal government.
They now make federal government look wicked and careless.
Nigeria is in leadership crisis. Everyone including Fashola should be aware of that.
Of course the federal government does not give a danm so don't expect Fashola to start waiting for our slow and crawling FEC to act before he acts.

Sam Milla:
I guess he jumped and donated that money to make himself look very good to ordinary people of Nigeria.
He succeeded but in some World Govt, he could have been suspended from duty.
Just that Nigeria is not working.
This man do you know what you are saying? Give me an example of the World Government that would have suspended him from duty or site an example of where it has happened previously. I'm waiting pls.

I hope CNN, SKY and the infamous FOX news will carry this, we are not a nation of terror and we are not beggars we only lack good leaders and where we have good ones they function well.UK and Ireland  donated 2million euros each, if lagos , a state, just like Dublin, can donate 1mill dollars,
that speaks a lot, I hope information minister will inform the world.
Thank you Gov Fashola, God will reward you and may God bless Nigeria, give us the right leaders, like you; people who don't believe anything is impossible.

That money is about N150,000,000. Bring 150 poor lagosians and give each N1,000,000 to start a life, I tell you by the next 2 or 3 yrs you will be having nothing less than 100 millionaires more in Lagos and that will go a long way in eradicating poverty by the time they start to affect the lives of their siblings, relations, friends etc.
Ha Ha funny indeed. Give 150 poor lagosians that money and don't be surprised how poorer some of them will be after 2 or 3 years. Have you heard of the economic term inflation, that's what any government risk when they venture into such philantropic gesture you propose.

Africans have gotten used to the attitude of complaining how poor they are and like I earlier said we are better reciever. We wait for grants aids e.t.c and that's why we are still were we are but God keeps blessing the richer nations like America because of their nature of giving.

Even if this 1 million dollar was invested into lagos, poverty will still remain. We are only crying because we are aware of this money, what of the unknown million dollar syphoned by our government officials daily. Why don't we demand an explanation form them. Delta state money was carefully invested by Ibori into his pockets, We are aware of his own refinery situated in South Africa but nobody says anything. Despite the loot our courts set him free. Here we are criticising Fashola becuase he has chosen to be accountable to Lagosians.

It's not difficult to do if you don't trust them.
Nigerians grin grin Why didn't we use this tracking system when our leaders were busy diverting our funds into their pockets? Chika why didn't you track the millions (tax payers money) that dissapeared during the junior world cup held in Nigeria.
We didn't track the one that was stolen by past leaders. Indeed we deserve the type of government we get.

I understand why Africa is backward. We prefer to spend money on exotic jeeps, private jets and we applaud those living in affluence even when we are aware of the source of the money but countries like America are commited to giving and giving even in their own difficulties. This is the secret to their advancement but trust Nigerians, always at the receiving end. We wait for aid from other countries, world bank and always complaining and showing the world we have problems. Now look at the typical Nigerians on NL crying wolf over 1 million dollar.

Funny, but your govt has been arranging to bring in both Africom and the Isreali's. The US is not the one pressing to introduce Africom, Yar Adua was practically begging both Africom and the Isreali's to come into the country were they would have been used against innocent folk. This is open news (but we 9ja's hate reading  grin). All that BS about opposing Africom was cover up, Yar Adua went to Washington, signed up with Africom and sold our sovereignty.
Africom has been patrolling Nigerian waters for going to two years now (it is not known if they are even on land as well in the ND)
NO NO NO!!!! Get this right, Nigeria never and has never begged for Africom. Yaradua's position of Africom was that US should train Nigerian Army so they can have their own Africom where they will be free from American Intervention.

One of the websites u quoted has clearly Ojo Maduekwe speech on Africom.
http://africanpress./2008/01/20/nigeria-africom-ship-heads-for-gulf-of-guinea/

Also, last December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Ojo Maduekwe, in Washington DC, said that Nigeria did not endorse the presence of the AFRICOM on the continent. “Nigeria’s position on AFRICOM remains that African governments have the sovereign responsibility for the maintenance of peace and security on the continent,” Maduekwe said. Africa is, however, united in rejecting US requests for a military headquarters site.
