Career › Re: Bad Experiences You Encounter Within Your Office. by Meldrick(op): 9:04am On Mar 29, 2010
I have a boss who acts on the first reports he gets. He doesn't wait for any explanation and he never forgets wrongs that have been done to him. Iam learning how to avoid him and my colleagues but painfully these are the people you spend all the day with.

When my friend was telling me of his own ordeal in the office, I got more scared of the office environment but I wonder what any one gains when his/her colleague is sacked and thrown to the streets. Some people really have stony hearts, No conscience.
I have just learnt to mind my business in my office and make less comments because according to my friend'' The same people you laugh with in the office are the same people who testify falsely against you''.

I still can't pinpoint the difference between Jonathan and his boss
Jonathan is simply been political but sincerely he is not foolish. In politics, you win some to get some. While he must use technocrats, as a politician you must not undermine some powers. You must definetly recognise them and those who have chosen to be enemies, you employ diplomacy in dealing with them.

I blame the senate for not impeaching Yaradua because as it is, Yaradua can come back anyday and operate like nothing ever happened. what excuse do the Senate have for not impeaching a man who abandoned his official duties for months without any notice.
Romance › Re: Would You Marry A Workaholic? by Meldrick(m): 11:13am On Mar 25, 2010
It's not bad but as a guy why should I marry a lady that is a workaholic? That will be detrimental to the lives of my kids.

but as for ladies nowadays, most of them don't give a danm if you're a workaholic or not as long as the cash flows in.

The kind of crap newspapers publish and call them headline news
Some of this editors still live in Military captive mentality

Ex-ministers are now private citizens. Nobody can restrict their movement without arresting them, charging them to court or get them convicted for a particular offence.

You can't bar people from travelling because you have a mere petition on your table. That is simply abuse of presidential powers.

If anything if he is asking some of these guys to stay around he simply wants to give them a job, otherwise this news is simply crap.
So anybody can hold a public office and loot and steal as he likes then after his tenure he jets out of the country freely for as long as he likes without giving an account of stewardship. It is now wrong for the No 1 citizen to stop him from travelling until he gives an account of how he handled finance when he was in government. YOU TRY

This is just like saying the cat and the snail, which is faster. This is an insult to Messi. You should be comparing Rooney with Fernando Torres not Messi. Messi is far far far better. I doubt if people will even agree that Rooney is better than Torres because I personally don't agree.

A 6 months relationship was not enough for that kind of test but I totally agree with you on the abuse of the '' I LOVE YOU'' word. Even people who just started out in 2 days are already chanting the '' I LOVE YOU'' anthem.

The girl was in the relationship in flesh but in spirit she was never in any relationship with you and that explains the reason why she jetted out at the fastest opportunity and was in love with another man within two weeks.

Move on bro until you find the bone of ur bones and the flesh of your flesh.
Career › Bad Experiences You Encounter Within Your Office. by Meldrick(op): 4:19pm On Mar 18, 2010
I just decided to start this thread because I feel it's necessary we relate ugly experiences we have in our offices and learn how to avoid them.

I was attending to my clients today when vouchers were given to me for processing but due to the pressure from my clients, i decided to finsh with the client I had on hand before taking the voucher to my boss. Sincerely I forgot and later remembered when the lady in finance (who gave me the voucher reminded me). I took these vouchers to my boss and he signed them.

The big surprise was when i went later to see my boss. I saw one of my female colleagues (who sits two seats away from me) talking with my boss and the man instantly reacted angrily with me for bringing the vouchers late to him. I couldn't understand why this lady went to report me to him because she has no involvement with the vouchers. We laugh together and I never had a problem with her. I just saw the shock in her when I came in like she was never expecting me that time. I kept wondering why did this lady do this or what does she stand to gain from this. Iam really surprised.

Wow! A big Congratulations to Stephanie. Though i must confess that i am a bit suprised that genny wan't picked to represent Nigeria especially when she has been featured in Oprah show. Genny, if u re reading this, my advice to you is to bend down n really focus on your career and though i had reserved my comment on your relationship with Dbang, i must say that you really should have done better. That goes too for the Guinness show you are hosting. The sky is your limits. Just ask Stephanie.
Not only Genevieve. Hissessss. Atiku Abubakar could not help her influence this one. They needed the best and went for Stephanie

You just have one post. Should I say welcome to this site or go straight to the point that this topic has been over flogged in the past and need not be resurrected.

The views/responses you get are purely Manchester United and Arsenal beef against Chelsea so I think it will be better you change the subject to ''MANCHESTER UNITED, CHELSEA AND ARSENAL'' which is a better team.

I think the best thing to do will be to talk about all the things that is bothering you in your marriage with your husband. let him know everything as in you have the thought of possibly leaving the marriage if thats the case.
What?? shocked shocked Is this a threat? The worst advise i've ever heard in recent times.

@poster
don't try the above ooo or you ruined everything.

but you should never complain of his drinking habits and hanging out with friends because he must have been doing this when u both were courting. Remember you both hanging out late nights with friends at the point and kill joints. Now u are complaining.

I advise you pray for yourself first and ask God to forgive you then you can tell God to help you out in your marriage.

you don't know these girls. Don't make the mistake of leaving them and going to the states and believe you will come back and meet them the same. Their clitoris will scratch them so hard and they will forget u immediately when they get somebody who services them right.
If you are really serious with any of them look for money and take them along with you to the states but u still need to be prayerful because you both can get to the states and they start servicing one white man who'll eventually think of blowing off your skulls.

Good luck with your search for your own wife.

This should not be too difficult to answer.  You both are adults, She is single, are u single and available?  If yes, then check what your office policy says about staff dating, see if you're not violating any policies.

If you're not interested in her, stand your ground, be firm when telling her you're not interested don't say something while your body language contradicts what you're saying and at the same time gather as much evidence as you can against her (thank God for technology), coz if she decides to pull you down, she goes down as well.
It's been along time I've read a very brilliant reply like this. What more can I say? u have said it all.
