Majority of us never wanted to be there. Our parents can afford to send us to any school in the world, the poor who really need the quality education are denied by the rich who don't even wanna be there in the first place. . . .
Indeed, you never wanted to be there. Were you forced to school there? Who forced you? Nobody put a knife on your neck insisting you must be there.
Your parents had a good dream for you and sent you there cos they know better than you and that's why God placed you under their authority. You can't question God on that.

You might have preferred to hang out on the streets smoking marijuana. Is that the life you preferred?

ALL THESE CHILDREN OF NOWADAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I just hope you are not one of those expelled students venting his anger through the net. I know i'm correct on that.

That's how you children cause problem for your selves and parents. Your parents sent you to a good school to learn and you studied under a spiritual atmosphere. The Bishop tried to instill a life worthy of emulation in you and here you are totally deviating from the plan your parents had for you.
Some of us were not priviledged to go to a school like Covenant University. In my time there were no private universities. If you had gone through the test of writing WAEC (not NECO) which was just introduced and you have faced the stress entering public universities, then finally undergone the process of an unfair learning environment which exist in public universities, maybe you would have appreciated the school you attended.

Rather than been a worthy ambassador of your school, you display hooliganism. I'm sure it is students like you that tried to drag that school to mud. You might be one of the expelled students because graduates of CU I've met are refined and admired.

Crazy idea.

MKO fought to be president for himself. MKO wanted to be president not because he loves the country too much but for personal reasons. He should not be mistaken as a nationalist. I hate all these sentiments especially that propagated by AC governors. Why can't it be named after sports men that have done Lagos State and the country at large proud. Why can't it be named after men and women that have achieved in their various fields so that it will serve as an encouragement to others. I don't see any difference with MKO and OLU Falae. They bought contested for presidency with army generals. Soon the stadium will be named after Olu Falae.

@sunny_bobo

In the whole of ur tribe can anyone match what Awolowo has contributed to this nation, less of this tribal issue, if Tinubu is a baron, can any governor in ur region match 10% of his achiviement in governance despite their okija shrine activities, yoruba race is still the most decent among all tribes of Nigeria, beleive it or not.  Likes of ur tribe are the reasons why Nigerians are humiliated abroad, yet u open ur mouth calling pple baron.  Should Tinubu not entering Aso Rock be issue in Yar Dua mind when all Industrialist are finding their ways to Ghana, a more conducive country for bussiness.
My friend shut the fu--ck up. It annoys me when people start idolising individuals. It annoys me more when people are over-clouded by tribal sentiments and are never truthful. Who the hell is Tinubu? Within the period he governed Lagos State, what good did he do for Lagos and lagosians in general. He was busy throwing parties and been present at all Owambe. Today he wants to be seen as a national hero and some crazy people say he fought Obasanjo therefore he fought for Democracy. Soon, they will soon request that Democracy day should be on his birthday.
The only good thing he did for Lagos was Fashola and he must stop associating himself with the success Fashola has achieved because if Fashola was like Tinubu, Lagos would be far from development.

I apprecite the works of Awolowo but I must give more kudos to Azikiwe. He was the true nationalist. He was never sentimental and then interest of Nigeria was first in his heart. Awolowo had the interest of the Yorubas first before Nigeria.

As for Yaradua, I don't see any reason why he should get unnecessarily infuriated by Tinubu's behaviour. The man has something up his sleeves but he must be ejected from Aso Rock before 2011.

Can u imagine an individual saying this ''He wouldn't have come far''. This is an expression of bad belle and a wicked man. You pray that ur fellow man should not come far or succeed. spikedcylinder:
Feeling used equates to not being given money? What if you're given the money (because there's spare to burn) and you're still used as a rag regardless? Will that elevate your self esteem?
As iice said, if you need to make your hair, reach into your pocket. If you need to pay your bills, reach into your pocket. Asides birthdays, anniversaries and other important events in which a partner needs to give gifts (which should be reciprocal by the way), a boyfriend should not be regarded as a parent.
I have friends (even on NL) who are strong independent women. They have no other form of support for themselves and will never collect stipends from any man. These are the kind of people that earn my respect. Not some howling, hungry girl who grabs an opportunity with every man that is willing to giver her a nickel or two.
This is how you know a girl who was well brought up. Spike, keep up with your orientation and you will never be dissapointed by any man. Omo dada(Good Girl).

Some other ladies are there crying wolf that their boyfriend must keep them looking good. Spending on your girlfriend to look good should not be mandatory. I have guys who make real money and don't count it as anything spending money for girls but it doesn't stop them from using them and dumping them and I get crazy when some girls say afterall, I chop it money, ''Tufiakwa''. Is this the type of girl a man wants to marry.

Men respect ladies who don't give a danm about their money.
I met my present girlfriend and stuck to her because of her attitude. I asked myself whether these kind of girls still exist especially in Lagos. She never liked asking me for money. Anytime I feel like giving her something, she was used to the habit of telling me, I should not play her father's role. She will always tell me not to worry. At a point in time, I felt guilty and I had to call her and insisted that anytime I give her money, I don't intend playing her parents role. I insisted that she never refuses any money I give her. She realized I meant it and was upset when she rejects the money. She was not from a rich family but I began to love her more because I found out she understood the real meaning of ''CONTENTMENT''. That kind of girl will make a good wife and plan your home well.

lol. What type of girls are you asking out? Is it all dem koko mansion girls and the likes grin grin grin grin (just kiddin no offence intended----i hp none taken) smiley
Seriously I have lots of guys around me and I've never once heard them talk about a galfriend that demands an allowance. I've only heard basketmouth or them I go die joke about it. So where exactly do her parents come in?What does she do with all the money they give her, if not get her hair or nails done?I think the whole allowance thing balls down to contentment. Maybe some girls want to wear LV like everyone else when the can't afford it-hence the need for an "allowance." As the old adage goes, "cut your coat according to your size."
I know there are obviously some unique cases where the girl truely can't survive without help from her boyfriend. I guess then the boyfriend just has to be discerning. Everyone knows when they are been taken for a ride.If your galfriend geninuely needs help and you love her, I don't see why you wouldn't willing help her out.
Oh!!!!!! you've pierced my heart with your write-up. If you had no boyfriend, I should have been thinking of marrying you. I was touched when you asked'' WHERE DO HER PARENTS COME IN''?

One hungry girl on this forum was talking about not paying before you date as old-fashioned. Meaning she believes you must pay to date. All those type of girls jump from one bed to the other even when they are married. I have prayed that those type of girls should not come close to me, my brothers or even my enemy because they will suck the shit out of you, until people start seeing only your shirt and trouser walking. They will hardly recognise you.
Iam not saying I cannot give my girlfriend money when she is in need or buy her gifts. Guys must do that. I had this girl during my University days who was always demanding I assist her with foodstuff, part of her school fees. To me there was nothing bad in assisting but I sent her off one day she said afterall I do not pay for sleeping with her. Shitttttt, I exclaimed, Is my girlfriend a LovePeddler? We ended the relationship. I hate girls with that mentality. Of course, they are majorly girls from the Jungle.

It's quite funny why some people have started killing theirselves that she is an Igbo girl. We Nigerians like to claim good things. Why don't you make a name for yourself rather than bragging over someone who doesn't know you. Funnily, the girl in question is not reffered to as an Igbo girl but an American. I doubt if she can speak Igbo or would want to be associated with her parents tribe. We've seen a lot of them who change their names to a pure American name.

It's glaing that we now have mediocres in the seat of government. All of them spitting out offensive and irritating policies that will not take the country anywhere. Are we really progressing in this country? I sincerely believe Obasanjo's regime was far better than this baba- go slow.
How would proffessionals, economic advisers of the President of a nation propose 20,000 monthly for criminals who make millions monthly. Do they think?

It's quit unfortunate militancy has come to stay in Nigeria and the only end to the problem is a disintegration/break-up of this entity called Nigeria. Even if the Niger-Delta is turned into Europe, those criminals will certainly not stop their evil act. It's already a proffession. Iam from the Niger-Delta(Warri) to be precise so I have a perfect understanding of the state of things in my place but these criminals have deviated from the ultimate agenda into making money from criminality. It is more painful that the government of the country have started negotiating with criminals. I bet the United States won't do that. If a solution is not found, I forsee it spreading into other parts of Africa. The buisness has become lucrative.

It makes me sick to see people always wanna elevate one tribe at the expense of the other.
If the Ibo boys are forced to leave lagos, where will they start selling their stuff and make all the money they made in Lagos, would it be in benin, where most people dont wanna travel?
Now the dude is talking about most Yorubas stealing and all that, go and check with the cops and see the stats of people stealing, i will admit that some yorubas are dumb stealing some nonsense, but the igbos are good at stealing handset which is all nonsense still.
Here is my take, No tribe in Nigeria is righteous, and i am not hiding behind any finger of Yoruba, cos like i said, they are all messed up, from the head to the messenger.
Weakness of OPC is not as a result of fear, but when the push comes to shuffle, we will see what a gentle goat cld do.

I hope not but I believe there are many potential disadvantages if the Yorubas in Lagos were to target and boycott certain markets. The financial impact would affect lives in Delta far more adversely than the oil they are claiming can compensate for or offset. Everyone keep talking about war and violent confrontation. . . but in the impulse, no one is considering that lives will be uprooted from their immediate source of sustenance. Put the hostilities aside and heed the Governors warning. The Governor is your authority, not OPC.
Negro,
I have to correct u on this. If the yorubas choose to boycott certain markets , it has and will never have any effect on any life in Delta. Life will be hell for the yorubas in lagos if the non-yorubas live. Those lazy yoruba landlords who sit at home and increase their rent know that their fellow yoruba will not afford and cannot pay for their houses so they prefer non-yorubas. They Yorubas in lagos make money from the investment of non-yorubas through alaye, illegal taxing, exploitation and stealing.

Nigeria in recent times have shown it cannot survive without the oil from the niger-delta.
Fashola is not stronger than the other Niger-Delta governors and if he chooses to stand in the way of MEND and FG he will be kidnapped.
The OPC boys are as weak as boys' brigade.
