NIGERIA- THE ONLY COUNTRY AN ELEPHANT CAN FLY.

So painful that with all the years invested into the legal profession, our judges have lost every form of integrity. There is no differnce between these judges and the policeman that collect 20 naira on road blocks. A shame.

@ na2day

Jonathan is not weak. He is only been diplomatic so as to avoid a repitition of the OBJ and ATIKU misunderstanding. What is his will definetly get to him at the right time.

If they were in  their respective African countries, nobody will victimize them. There will be no need for rallies based on racial discrimination. When you choose to stay in another man's country legally or illegally, expect any sh.it.

East, West, North and South, Home is the best. My heart goes out to all blacks in Italy and I sympathize with them over the loss of the dead man.

There is a smooth relationship between the government of America and Nigeria and they're trying to keep this.
Smooth Indeed!!! and Obama refused to come to Nigeria rather he preferred to go to Ghana.

Lotuken:
So if Mutallab snr is clean, let him come here and explain why Nigeria's name should be removed from the watch list and those that have been banned from coming here pardoned,
They hurriedly put Nigeria on the watch list. No matter the confessions of his father, they will never be willing to remove it. His action at informing the US about his son's act months ago was enough for the US never to have considered putting Nigeria on the watch list.
Politics › Re: REPORT: President Yaradua Is Dead? by Meldrick(m): 4:30pm On Jan 11, 2010
I have never seen a wicked wife like Mrs Turai Yaradua a.k.a Madam First Lady. A woman that is so power drunk and intoxicated with the title first lady. She knew his state of health and could not advise him to step down and concentrate on his health. Even on his dying bed, she cannot tell Nigerians the truth and ensure power leaves her husband so the eyes of the world leaves him and she concentrates on taking proper care of him.

You can imagine the amount of money that would have been pumped into his health (all tax payers money).

May he survive this illness and focus on the Supreme God rather that rule this country without focus.

A lot of youths in Nigeria have taken to this yahoo yahoo as a profession so when you see people on Nairaland supporting yahoo yahoo, realize that is what they do for a living. A thief will always justify the actions of another thief.

@ poster
what are you doing with a yahoo boy. Okay some people on this thread have helped you out by saying you didn't know before you entered the relationship but when you finally knew why didn't you jet out? Oh you were attarcted to his money now you are talking about his lies. Someone who lies for a living, who are you to escape his lies. When you get married to him prepare for capital lies. This is small. Greedy Girl

I started writing codes at age 14, became a graduate at age 19 out of this same Nigerian system.
I can code in over 7 languages fluently.

Instead of sitting down to claim bragging rights, i'd rather move forward and keep learning.

Just because everyone here doesnt flaunt their credentials doesnt mean we dont have stuff.

Abegi !, go siddon.

With all your codes(written and unwritten) nobody know you. There has been no reason for nigerians to celebrate you. Guy you be local champion. Go sleep.

You know failures through their speech, writings. Failures don't like to go down alone, they always prefer pulling someone along with them. Instead of congratulating this guy, some people are bragging over the achiement they made in their room. We have never heard anything about them apart from been opportuned to register free on Nairaland and post rubbish.

Kehind Adeyemi, More grease to your elbow. I pray you achieve more.

I guess you just want to know the number of Arsenal and Chelsea fans that exist on NL and the best way to get the number was to throw this question.

Don't confuse laziness for slavery. Laziness should never be viewed as modernity, it is the fastest home breaker. Later a lot of ladies will start complaining of one witch that is in their village. Disturbing pastors on various types of deliverance when the main problem is with them.

Don't worry when the time comes, you will adjust. That is when you are ready to keep ur home as a mother and wife, if not trust the other ladies out there they are ready to assist you with the domestic work while you get busy thinking about slavery and modernity.

Iam baffled seeing posts that tag washing a husband's clothes as old fashioned. When has laziness to wash your husband's clothes with your hands become civilization or mordenity? Lazy women will always talk dry-cleaning but a prudent wife will utilize the weekend doing the washing of her clothes and her husband's clothes. The money that would have been wasted on dry-cleaning will be put to better use but the lazy ones who complain about time spend their week ends visiting friends and gossiping.

Of course those kind of ladies can't come my way because they will be kicked out like a piece of rubbish.

When I read stories like this I sit thinking of whether to cry or just do something crazy. My heart boils and I remember Fela and his prophecies through his songs.

Should I admit that Nigerians are cowards or very patient people? I need an answer.

Presidency is not by force. It is not a do or die affair neither is it the prerogative of any man but why on eat has Ya radua chosen to stick to that position even at the point of death (certainly the true state of his health will not be disclosed).
Indeed we are just at our preliminary stage of Democracy but the question is where are we really heading to?

You have not been able to inteprete simply what Isoko and Urhobo call salt and soup. My dear friend, the Urhobos and Isokos are two different tribes just like Urhobo and Ijaw.

You must agree with me that Olorogun Ibru is just joking with his request
Politics › Re: Request For The Creation Of An Urhobo State by Meldrick(m): 6:37pm On Dec 21, 2009
Beaf:
With due respect, the above is balderdash.
For one, Uvwie have never refused to be referred to as Urhobos (except in your dreams). That claim is ignorant at best, Urhobo is made up of several distinct clans, Uvwie is a major one.
Secondly, Isoko and Urhobo speak the same language and have the same culture. Wherever Urhobo, Isoko will go, we are inseparable nations.
Bayelsa state is already an Ijaw state so why would the Ijaws clamour for a new one? The Ijaw areas of Delta and Bayelsa can be merged.
Also, the Itsekiris can join Ondo state as they have always wished.

As to bogus claims about lands belonging to Itsekiris. The colonial period is over and lands given to dore numa as punishment to the owners for not taking part in slavery have returned. We will divide Warri by genuine village boundaries so you guys get the mostly remote out of town areas Ogbuwangwue, Ginuwa and Pesu, while Ogbe Ijaw and ajoining areas go to the Ijaw the rest from Ekpan, Agbassa, Ogberikoko, Ogunu, Enehren, Ovwian-Aladja, Udu, Okere-Urhobo, Edjeba, Igbudu. . . everything else (like 80%) goes to the Urhobo grin grin grin grin.

Infact, the Itsekiri capital is called Ode-Itsekiri
, so why bad bele for other peoples property na grin. See history here with oyibo people plotting your "reality" that you are arguing here (in ignorance) http://www.waado.org/CulturalUnits/AgbarhaAme/WarriEthnicProblems/ObiomahOnUrhoboWarri/WARRI_URHOBO_HistoryIdentity.html

Meldrick the colonial period is over. Stop living in the past, nobody is a slave anymore, neither can their lands be taken because they refused to take part in the evil trade. Forget about the "gains" of the slave trade.
You are talking bullshit.

You know little or nothing about your area. Perharps you were born and brought up in Lagos. The Uvwie people have their own King and they refuse to be called Urhobos. Did I hear you say the Isokos go where the Urhobos go? You are dreaming. You just made me realize you can't speak your language when you said Isoko and Urhobo speak the same language.
Urhobo man what is soup and salt called in Urhobo? What is it called in Isoko? Go find out and understand the difference.

I saw the cooked up website you quoted by an Urhobo man (D.A Obiomah). You were sleeping when you said it was designed be whitemen. The Ijaws have a stake in Delta State. Realize that now

if any tribe really wants to reestablish their precolonial sovereignty, they'll have to secede and form their own country. that's not something that they can achieve as a state within a country. imagine what it would look like if other tribes were to start clamouring for their own states? the Binis? Itsekiris? they also had established precolonial kingdoms. who would get warri? that would probably cause another crisis. how big and economically viable would each state be if we were to give each tribe a state? i bet even Urhobos would need more than one state because then we would see that there are divisions even among them.

that guy who said we need to scrap all 36 states was right. the rest of the world is thinking globalization but we are thinking division. europeans are bringing down economic and social borders in the interest of development but we're trying to erect borders. of what use is sovereignty in the absence of development?
Very Good talk.

It might interest you to know that within the Urhobo people there is a division. The Uvwie people refuse to be reffered to as Urhobos.
Human beings can be so selfish. If there was no oil in that land, will they request for an Urhobo state. My people in the Niger Delta annoy me with the way they reason. The Ijaw people will always refer to themselves as the Ijaw Nation in all their publications. Rather than fight for the Niger Delta, they fight for the Ijaw Nation and they don't give a danm what happens to the other tribes.

The Urhobos fail to realize that most of those areas they are selfishly claiming belong to the Itsekiris, Isokos e.t.c If the urhobo nation is created based on their recomendation, there will be another war because the other ethnic groups will point out areas that belong to them within the so-called Urhobo rich region. The Itsekiris, Isokos will also demand for their own state. Trust the Ijaws, they claim they are the third most populated so they will soon clamour for their own state.

I'm dissapointed in their President, Olorogun Ibru or what is his name. Is he educated? if he is, he wasted his time in the University.

Everything happening now i can bet you he never envisaged. This is just a repeat of the failed banks era.
Soon customers will cease to deal with these banks then what happens?
Total closure, even those who dont make the list will only in a matter of time be exd!

How do you sack ppl cos their accounts are in red?
Is it now against the law to be broke?

God abeg O!
But is it really wrong to sanitize an industry that was at the verge of collapsing. Don't you think something worse would have happened but for the timely intervention of Lamido. A bank that declared a huge profit last year only to run into a loss worth billions of Naira this year. Doesn't it strike your mind that there were lots of fraudulent and dubious practices. Figures were manufactured to decieve the public and profits were declared on the floors of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Notable audit firms cheaply sold their integrity and connived with these banks to give them a pass mark. Public offer was made. Students, young graduates, and others who sweated hardly for their money bought these shares only to realize they have been decieved (permit me to use the word duped). Are these bank chiefs or thieves not worse than the robbers on the street. Even the public who bought sshares from them find it difficult getting loans from the banks.

My there friend what is happening is inevitable. If it didn't happen now, it would have happened some day.
My prayer is that God should punish all those at the corridor of power who make life miserable for the masses. God should punish those bank chiefs that have put these bankers out of their jobs and May God provide better jobs for them. Amen

The funny thing is, when you look at a GDP of about $ 300 billion, growth averaging 6-7% in the last few years, potential for growth in transportation, Agric, HOUSING, just name it; you wonder how silly can the leadership be to miss out on an opportunity to become gods in Nigeria's history ?
Unfortunately we have leaders who lack ideas. Lazy and dull brains who hard no vision before stepping into government. The idea of governance in Nigeria has been sterotyped and patterned towards one sector(oil sector) and they see it as impossible to harness the gains that exist in the other sectors.
