Until President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan does the right thing by telling Nigerians the truth on the EFCC case against his first wife Patience Jonathan, he is wasting his time contesting in 2011.
At least the man is free to contest. EFCC might have a case with the wife not Jonathan. Get it clear. The man has not even told you he wants to contest. Pls don't derail the thread.

Like someone asked,''Must the North be involved''? What is wrong if the President and Vice are from different ethnic groups far from the North. I don't know but as for Jonathan, I won't be dissapointed if his tenure is over without any remarkable achievement. His moves are really unclear.

I just checked out Tomi Okoye on facebook and she has 1,441 friends. Getting 1441 friends is not easy especially when the profile user uses it for fraudulent means.

I doubt the genuinety of the posters story.

but there is a part of her profile that I find interesting. Her quote '' Cut your coat according to your size''. That was an advise to the poster.

I said it right from unset that Genevieve stooped too low, but you never can tell, anything can happen because of love.
Stoop so low , How?

That girl with wrinkled skin. Getting really old. Iam dissapointed in D'banj. When there are fresh young girls out there, he is bragging with a girl that was parading herself with Atiku.

Atiku is re-contesting so she will be warming up for him again.

D'banj there are fresh girls out there besides what of ur queen from Koko Mansion or Rita. grin grin

Politics › Re: Nigeria Why Hate The Truth - Fg Protests Bbc Documentary On Lagos by Meldrick(m): 3:22pm On Apr 28, 2010
EloSela:
Meldrick you don't speak for the common man on the street.

Here is what one wrote on the BBC Blog.

And your response is?
My response is that BBC will do anything to get what they want. They will go as far as paying unpatriotic Nigerians to denounce their country. You fail to realize Nigeria is a third world nation and don't expect miracles so soon. The challenges we face in our nation are peculiar with third world countries and gradually we will triump but the truth is we have slupms in UK but BBC will promote the good job done by it's government and do everything to pull down developing nations. This is the trick of Globalisation.

harakiri:
Self denial is a peculiar trait in Nigerians. BBC does documentaries for all countries and they report both good and bad. Months ago i watched a clip where they showed job seekers begging to be employed for a wage of less than $2 per day in China. Did the chinese govt fuss about it? NO!
They didn't fuss about it but does that mean it is right or the best approach? The Chinese did not fuss about it doesn't mean it is the best approach to issues of sort. We must reject it outrightly.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Why Hate The Truth - Fg Protests Bbc Documentary On Lagos by Meldrick(m): 11:39am On Apr 28, 2010
EloSela:
The BBC went to Nigeria in 2009 and that is what they saw. If Fashola wants to promote his work in Lagos then he should make an interesting documentary on the city and flog it to the international news stations and they will buy it if is entertaining enough to their audience.
Of course Fashola is just too busy for self praises. The time he will waste in doing that , he invests in making Lagos the place to be.

EloSela:
As it is the BBC documentary told the story of real life people in Lagos, it wasn't a promotional political tour of Lagos which many of you don't get. It is time the common man in Nigeria stood up and told his story after being ignored by the Nigerian media and that is exactly what this BBC documentary allowed them to do.
And even the common man in Lagos understands the form journalism has taken. Even the common man understands all attempt made by the international media, government of foreign nations like Britain and (internal collaborators like urself) in playing down countries like Nigeria using all propagandist means just to stay afloat in international scene.

But if indeed they had a clear intention, they should have met the chief executive of the state and had a fair comparison on the development and transformation taken place in Lagos with previous years.

You see the problem with people like you is that you sit over there casting aspersions, worshipping the Britons and ready to recieve anything from them just to appear on TV and play down your country. Then with people like you, there is a conclusion - (public opinin)
Politics › Re: Nigeria Why Hate The Truth - Fg Protests Bbc Documentary On Lagos by Meldrick(m): 9:34am On Apr 28, 2010
blueflame1:
The documentary was about the slums of lagos not about Fashola or any politicians good or bad works.

Lagos was not portrayed as a slum, a slum within lagos was shown.

If we think the slum is despicable, the best thing to do is clear the slum, turn it to a modern industrial or residential site and do a documentary. U can call your documentary from slum to paradise or whatever, so long as u touch the lives of people, we would be happy and the world would be impressed.

All those criticising the documentary, u need to wake up, the objective was achieved, similar documentaries have been shown about India, China, Britain, USA etc and are still aired on history and documentary channels, the difference is that the respective govts act to change the situation once the awareness is created.

We need to think reasonably, act civilised and live in the modern world.
No No, u are very wrong on that. A lot of transformation is going on in Lagos and BBC will not show a documentary on that. Lagos of 2005 is not the same Lagos of 2010 but trust BBC they will always show the slums in Lagos and they become blind when they get to Victoria Island and other parts of Lagos that have been transformed. The funny thing is after doing their dirty jobs in Lagos, they lodge in exotic hotels in Lagos before going to their country.

And for u saying they have shown those types of documentaries on USA, China and Britain. It's a lie.

Pele played in four world cups and won three of them.No one has managed that before or after him.
Pele didn't need to play in Europe, because back then it was difficult to have foreign based players, let alone South American players in Europe,so it wasn't his fault.Messi isn't even as good as Johan Cruyff.Pele (from my old man's Betamax video clips) still remains the best player ever.
Messi will find it difficult because the present Argentina team has no Xavi to make him look good.I think claims of him (Messi) being called the greatest ever are over-rated/too early. He hasn't even won the World Cup yet. . .

Most people are just haters! Why are people so cynical?

If the op says he is still a virgin, who are you people to tell him he is lying? do you know him? Just because some people couldn't hold themselves doesn't mean that the poster is like you them. There are still virtuous people is this world of moral decadence!
The op mentioned that he is following what the bible says. I am sure that people are well aware of what the Bible says about premarital intimacy. Whether we are in the 12th or 25th century, God's word is unchanging. Instead of respecting the op you are insulting him. undecided

Make up your minds!! When non-virgin men want a virgin you say they are hypocrites and when a virgin man wants his own kind you insult him?

If i am a non-smoker and I demand that I marry a non-smoker what is wrong with that?
The op has striven to maintain his virginity and now he wants an equal as a mate. What is wrong with that??

Me thinks some people just like to cause trouble the moment "vir" is mentioned in any thread. undecided
RUBBISH
I've been reading your post. You're just trying to create an awareness so the poster can realize you are a virgin. Simply go straight and tell him u are interested.

@ poster, you say you are a virgin.
You waste a lot of time in the bathroom doing soapy with your tetmosol soap and you still say you are a virgin? After soiling all your boxers while dreaming in the night and you still claim you are a virgin? Hmmmmmmm

Would you call this "toasting" ?

This older guy decided to besiege me with gifts, he kept leaving wine, chocolates, flowers, books and other such outside my front door.

I really did not like it, so I asked him to stop. He said he just wanted to do something nice for me huh which made me feel ungrateful.
Well this thing went on for months, Sunday mornings I would I look outside my door and there would be that days offering.
I decided the only way I could except the gifts with a clear conscience would be if I got him a gift now and again, so I bought him a bottle of bubble for Xmas and left it outside HIS door (he only lived around the corner).

My gift to him must have triggered off some kind signal in his head shocked shocked shocked, the guy went on a buying spree, o please it was not funny at all.

Sadly I had to be very harsh to make him stop angry angry

Yekini was one fat ass foot baller who couldn't dribble, wouldn't work the ball for other players and would wait for the ball before he heads straight to the post to score but Drogba dribbles. Drogba is either scoring or making a way for another person to score. When he is on pitch, defenders are on their toes.
