ALL IN THE BID TO CARRY A BLACKBERRY, ONE GIRL REGARDED AS THE MAIN BIZ GIRL IN GLO, STOLE A BLACKBERRY FROM HER COLLEAGUE. THE COLLEAGUE(ALSO A GLO WORKER) WENT TO THE TOILET TO URINATE AND FORGOT IT. THE GIRL ENTERED AND STOLE THE PHONE. We watch Obama,Hillary clinton, and Mccian openly accepting TV invitation to talk to the public on their stewardship in office. Anenih, Ibori, OBJ, Bode George etc has never done it before since they left office. Gbenga Arulegba keep bringing irrelevant people in the polity to defend PDPs actions. What is wrong if the main architects of the problems are invited.
I'm happy you cited American leaders are examples. Even when Babangida was invited to Oputa panel bu Justice Oputa himself(on was on a federal assignment), Babngida refused to come. Now tell me the power Gbenga has to compel these people to come. These men know that they will be humilated and will not be ready for any showdown. So Gbenga has little or nothing he can do. He personally would have liked the idea but he can't do anything.

Politics › Efcc Detains American Over $760,668 Counterfeit Cheques by Meldrick(op): 5:50pm On Mar 02, 2010
I thought Americans are angels. Of course they should be included on our black list.

Source:http://www.tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/2033-efcc-detains-american-over-760668-counterfeit-cheques.html

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained a 24-year-old American lady, Sharon Denis Thorpe, over her involvement in a counterfeit cheque scam valued at $760,668.

Thorpe, a resident of Raleigh North Carolina, was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, while about to board a Qatar Airways flight to Washington DC.

The suspect, who parades an American passport No. 457647779 issued at North Carolina , United States, on December 30, 2008, had been in Nigeria since November 2009, ostensibly on vacation with one Musediku Akorede Kehinde, her fiancé, who was alleged to be the mastermind of the crime.

Thorpe, however, told her interrogators that the counterfeit cheques were given to her by one Femi Atoms, a friend of Musediku who was at large.

She was arrested by officials of the State Security Service (SSS) and handed over to the EFCC.

The suspect is still being interrogated

I read one of the post and was surprised at the statement made by one fool that all he wants is sweet sweet revenge. I didn't know some people still stand on top of their brains. The real Igbo men fall into these categories (1) Those who experienced the war. (2) Those who have huge investments in Nigeria. (3) Those "educated" ones. Educated in quote.
These set of people will not be talking about revenge neither will they pray for another war.

It is all those hungry, poor people claiming to be Igbos that talk about revenge. All those ones who passed through the University system and the system never passed through them. They claim to be educated. They talk about revenge, disintegration and they pray for another war but trust them when the war starts the cowards will run into hinding places.

whoa! whoa!! whoa!!!

What a day it was!

You know i already pre-planned to take my wife to the movies  to see 'Valentine's day' but the the issue was how to take care of our princess.
So i was still trying to figure out if it was going to be a family affair of which my wife was disposed to when she announced to me that her sister will be willing to take care of the tot. You could imagine my joy!

Now, Enter church in the morning, listened to inspiring messages from my pastor only for him to gleefully announce at the end of the service that he did not believe in Valentine's day. Trust my wife and i on that, we just glanced at each other (meaning, Pastor, you are OYO. period). You could imagine the disappointment on the faces of the folks who had a touch of red n white in their attires.

Church done, we got back home, well fed and rested, we set sail to the GDC at d Palms!. Picked up some chocolate/creams/ popcorn/drinks and settled down for 5:30pm slot of the absolutely hilarious romantic movie 'VALENTINE's DAY'.
You don't wanna know the rest of the gist, do ya?  It was soooooooo worth it !
Whether you believe in d day or not, Love is too special not to be celebrated folks!
could just imagine u and your wife in church and the pastor gave that message. I couldn't help but laugh. nice outing

I didn't find i funny on vals day. I don't know what i ate on Saturday night so I was just purging. On vals day when I was supposed to be catching the fun, I was running to the toilet almost every 5mins. At a point in time, i just wore only my boxers and was positioned near the toilet. I was not ready to go out so I don't embarass myself on the road.

In the evening when I felt a bit of relief, I opted to have a feel of the val special with one new catch. I called her and she came to my house, i started looking for my purse with my money and ATM. I don't know where i carelessly left it. The babe just vex and left for home without even a peck. In the night, i just saw the wallet in my toilet exactly where i keep my soap and dettol. I was mad with myself.

kai, I was praying for Monday to come so I can get back to my official duties.

this is obasanjo in play.
look back to the days of oibasanjo when borrishade was minister of education. borrishade messed up the education sector that made nigerians to cry out loud. obasanjo was moved but instead of outright sacking, borrishade was moved to the aviation sector where he recorded the highest number of air misharps. when it was clear that borrishade had done enough damage in the aviation sector, he was moved to ministry of youths, information and culture.
nigeria under pdp and obasanjo is that worst thing that has happened to humanity.
what is wrong in sacking ppl when they are performing below par?
No you are wrong on that.

Obasanjo sacked the then Minister of Education(Fabian Osuji) over the 55billion naira scandal, Obasanjo went ahead to sack Mrs. Mobolaji Osomo(Mimister of Housing & Urban Development for what was described as embarrasment over the sale of its properties in Lagos. In 2006, Obasanjo sacked Kanu Agabi, Mrs Josephine Aneni and 10 others.

Jonathan could have sacked him outrighly but the man is been diplomatic but I can assure you that Yaradua is not coming back again as president because knowing who Jonathan is, he wouldn't just temper with a structure built by his boss but this move was necessary for the progress of Nigeria.

Aondokaa was Minister of Injustice and for a SAN to open his dirty mouth and say the president can work from anywhere evn from his sick bed shows truly he got his Law Certificate through the back door. I wonder how other Minister of Justices from foreign nations look at him and our country Nigeria.

Very poor analysis.

Who told you Niger Delta youths are not educated. Go take a look at the borders and see yorubas involved in the bunkering job.
People sit down to type rubbish and all they can think about is to farment trouble with their poor knowledge on ethnic background. Highly tribalistic fool.
Despite all the professors and richly educated people we have in the ND, you cough rubbish on NL.
Don't annoy me because it is too early.
Your type are only good at causing religious and tribal wars there after running to hide.

Beaf:
The second half of your argument is way off mark. Oil money will make little difference to what people can do for themselves if the govt invests in them as a resource; so saying the ND will remain poor if oil money is gone is not correct, in fact most of the poverty in our hinterlands are caused by the presence of oil companies and the siezure of our lands and waterways.
True Talk.
In fact the lands and rivers in the Niger Delta have been grealtly polluted as a result of this same oil buisness and this has greatly affected farming and fishing in the ND. The people of the Niger Delta would have done better in these areas if there was no oil.

Of course your first interpretation or answer is surely correct. A Niger Delta where the people will fully control their resources and live comfortably.
Don't ask about the possibility because someday it will become reality.

"Fire don start, na who go kill am"
My brothers and sisters don't deceive yourselves, the militants are the true Nigerian heroes bringing change to this land. Why do you people feel we can't progress without oil ? I dream of a Nigeria where oil production will be less than 100,000 bpd then the fake Nigerians would be forced to abandon the broke govt. In such a situation only genuine material would aspire for political office because there would be no easy oil money at the center. When that happens the Mining and Agriculture that we've been hearing stories of for eons will definitely be looked into as a way out of the problem.
I hope Akwaibom and CrossRiver youths start representing too, because i don't think that part of the country is better off than the rest of the country where corruption, poverty and unemployment are rife. Youths are the ones to bring about this revolution. Aluta continua !

By the time all the pipelines in Nigeria are blown up, all these grammer on Niaraland will stop then you petroleum engineer and that fellow eating from oil that calls his father a terrorist collaborator will go back to the farm and happily, the other sectors will be harnessed. At least we were doing well without before the discovery of oil in Nigeria.

Until these militants learn to use their brains to think, they and all those that support their actions blindly (including those here on NL) will remain FOOLS.

Is it the defenseless pipelines they keep blowing up that are responsible for the problems of the Niger-Delta?
or
Is it the corrupt Nigerian Govt (which includes the Niger-Delta leaders)?

Isn't it high time these militants and 'so called' freedom fighters face the REAL ENEMY?

The Oil companies tap the wealth of the region (which the Nigerian state cannot tap) and the corrupt Nigerian Govt which is controlled by a Northern cabal) takes the proceeds and shares it amongst its officials. Next thing we hear is "Our gallant Fighters/Warlords have carried out a strategic attack on an oil pipeline belonging to Shell," how dumb? What is strategic about the strike?

With the recent political brouhaha caused by Yaradua's absence, the North has made a clear unequivocal statement that the "south south is only good at producing Oil and should not think of smelling the presidency (even when constitutionally, the south south should be president)." What is the reaction of the Militants/Nigerdelta saviors/freedom fighters to this insult? they go and blow up shell pipeline.

Isn't it high it high time they wake up from their slumber?

I liken the Niger Delta case to the case of a farmer who has yams in his barn but is incapable of cooking them. A shrewd neighbour comes and offers to cook the yams on the condition that he gets some and an agreement is reached on how the cooked yams are to be shared. A major point in the agreement is that the Landlord of the Farmer would also receive a share JUST because he is the Landlord.

When the yams get ready, the Landlord greedily collects his share and the share of the farmer and feasts on them with his friends in the full glare of the farmer while the farmer goes hungry. Whenever the farmer tries to complain, he is being molested and asked to shut-up for being too greedy. This arrangement has continued for years but now the farmer has decided to fight back. He acquires sophisticated arms and begins to fight the neighbour who cooks the yams. In the process, he destroys most of the yams and also, hurts the neighbour. The rationale behind his strategy is that "IF THE NEIGHBOUR DOESN'T COOK THE YAMS, THE LANDLORD WOULDN'T HAVE ANY TO STEAL."
Be careful you idiot. I wish I met you face to face, you could have had a heavy beating as a result of the anger I feel.
You condemn the blowing of oil pipe-lines beacuse you are a benificiary. I await the period when all oil pipelines in Nigeria are blown up and all other accesses to the oil are blocked so that Nigerians can start thinking away from oil.
How can a man be complaining of soap in his eyes when he is standing in the river? It is better we have no supply of oil than for a few to be leaving in affluence from the money from the oil.

Continue boys!!!!!!!
