"In 2014, when oil price started falling after peaking at $105.64 in June, with fewer options left to curb the situation, Okonjo Iweala, the minister of finance took to the media, in her words “Nigeria should brace for tougher economic times ahead” insinuating she has no solution apart from her overzealous ambiguity to be at the realm of power and yet we were being chastised for not retaining her team in power." http://investorsking.com/jpmorgan-poor-economic-decision-by-okonjo-iweala/jamesibor: I hope they have the courage to invite Okonjo Iweala to lecture them. |

I won't say it's coincidence, but you never mentioned the sender of the "miracle money", because if it's money you didn't expect from a source you don't know, it behooves you to report it to the bank as it may be a mistake by a bank teller. Things like this got some people into trouble with EFCC, when the "miracle money" was later traced to Dasuki. |

This is a clear case of obedience is better than sacrifice.
If you had obeyed and followed the instructions or advise of the workshop manager, all these wouldn't have happened.
Another point is, having heard about the abuse meted out to others in the past, you subconsciously set up yourself for it by not heeding the workshop manager's advice or getting an official permission.
No matter the outcome of the case in court, it won't erase the emotional dent that slap had on you. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: No Jobs Or No Employable Graduates? by menxer: 8:59pm On Feb 24, 2016 |
adipemcanis1: That question is relevant.
It shows that you pay attention to current affairs...which is a very important skill (if you will) for jobs in certain sectors like the Financial and Communications sector to use an example.
For instance....your company wants to invest in country A....and needs to know about the political situation in country A. A good employee with a knowledge of the political situation in that country would be able to give a fair idea of what is going on over there.
Don't laugh. Paying attention to current affairs is very very important. It shows you as being able to gather facts to make a decision.Good for the job, no? Guy man leave matter for Mathias. Generally speaking we all know Boko Haram is a problem in Borno, can you tell us the name of the chairman of the local government that was controlled by BH? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: No Jobs Or No Employable Graduates? by menxer: 8:51pm On Feb 24, 2016 |
femi4: Do you know how many graduates apply for job openings in Nigeria?
You mean all graduates from State, Federal and private institutions are not employable?
You mean graduates from foreign Institutions too could not fit in? Saying there are no employable graduates is just to insult us, for a little leaven has leavened the lump. Besides the shame is on all of us as a nation for running a system that lays undue emphasis on paper qualifications instead of creative productivity. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: No Jobs Or No Employable Graduates? by menxer: 8:36pm On Feb 24, 2016 |
adipemcanis1: My opinion.
1.Most people go to university to graduate with degrees that would qualify them for office jobs....where they would shuffle papers without thinking for the rest of their working lives.Meanwhile...most companies want people who are ideas persons, problem solvers, etc. Not clerks.Of course...when some gent or lady turns up looking for job....and cannot show that he or she is an ideas man or woman.....
2.Our universities do not teach you how to be a problem solver. For instance...back in the 1980's...a car factory in the USA that was about to be closed because of high running costs....reached out to the local unviersity's department of economics to help them solve their cost problems. Students and lecturers joined hands to develop a plan to sort out the problem. Now...which Nigerian economics department can come and do the same for a Nigerian factory.(None of them).
3.Still on thinking. Our lecturers used to tell us that in order to pass their exams...you have to give them what they taught you in class. That is nice...but the problem is...when a student is doing the exams....he is not using his thinking mind to answer the question....just regurgitating the lecturer'snotes.Sigh....thinking gone.
4.Assignments. Most students when asked to do an assignment....just go and copy from textbooks and websites. No synthesizing of ideas from sources.
In brief....the problem is....our educations system does not teach students to think....they teach students to just regurgitate what the lecturer told them.May help in getting a first class from uni....but in the real world...where you have to formulate solutions....
5.Most Nigerian students think that learning is only in class. No. Learning is a continuum. You are spot on. Apart from learning to read, write reason logically, every other thing I have learned to keep going in life was/is outside school and beyond the scope of school curriculum. Learning is a way of life. |

RaptorX: The current heat wave is has a result of the incoming planet X also known as nibiru. There are sightings around the world already of a second sun next to our sun, you can go to YouTube and look at tons of pics and videos taking of this second sun. It's on a 3600 year orbit around the sun and it's going to swing by earth and it's already heating up our planet. Very soon probably b4 2017 it will grow bigger and become very noticeable in the sky, global warming is just the name the world governments gave to it to prevent mass panic. That's true, nobody wants to talk about Nibiru as it would destabilize everything especially religion; because once you talk about Nibiru, you get to mention it's inhabitants: the Anunnaki. |

MTN paid N50bn to the federal government “as a gesture of good faith and commitment to continued efforts towards an amicable resolution”, according to the telecoms company. This makes it sound as though MTN is doing FGN a favour. If the N50b paid is part of the fine, how can it then be in "good faith"? In short, MTN should use vexation and bad faith and pay the balance. |

Finally somebody is over sure of helping his country and the government is finding it hard to welcome him, definitely I smell something fishing with the corruption fighting government Na wa for your conclusion. Yes, Ubah has a proposal, but is it not a "media proposal" like every other issue in media domain? Romance › Re: Why Do People Use Marriage As A Means To Insult Single Successful Women? by menxer: 7:11pm On Feb 23, 2016 |
amicable09: I have a little ish troubling my mind whenever this topic about older ladies and marriage is raised. One of such question is, is the lady supposed to marry herself?
It takes two to tango after all. A lady interested in marriage and there's no eligible suitor, what should she do? There are some ladies who have only married men approaching them for relationships, what are they to do? Run to the streets and marry any guy who is single because they are above 30 and nearing 40?
Let's stop and think for a minute about such situations, rather than jump into conclusions, calling successful single ladies, bitter. I think it has to do with the subconscious programming of/by the ladies in the early teenage years of fantasy of the ideal man for romance. Such subconscious programming may create a loop, hindering such a lady from making the transition to marriage. The "ideal" man for romantic relationship may not be or make the "ideal" husband, most times; Thus calling for self re-evaluation by ladies and re-evaluation of the men in their lives as they (ladies) progress in life. |

“The President’s entourage obviously collect their travel allowances in dollars on official rate of N199 and come back to Nigeria to change it at the open market rate of N400. That must be the reason they encourage the President to be junketing abroad when life is becoming unbearable for Nigerians.” See reasoning? So because of the estacodes of a few people, PMB is junketing? A better hate missile to hit PMB is needed. |
