Ask how old the boyfriend be...he will be in his 60s.

SS/SE and North are same when it comes to child abuse of sexual rape of minors. Whats worse.....the girls parents prefer negotiation for cash reward...they dont like police poking nose in underage sex abuse.

1 - who is this target that fetched 100million dollars.

2 - how does Hamisu circulate the money....where is the distribution?
Culture › Re: The Meaning Of Aguda by MetaPhysical: 8:15pm On Aug 08, 2019
Aguda is an original Yoruba word, lost but brought back..

Aguda was the designation for members of a congregation of a spirituality. It is applied specifically for a congregation of worshippers. It is my suspicion that Yorubaland exiled practitioners of a spirituality into slavery. They never lost their practice and in fact it became a mainstream culture in diaspora....where it was polluted and morphed into an admixture with catholicism. Whatever that spirituality was, its rituals and creeds were not too far off from catholicism, so their integration blended very harmoniously.

After freedom and return....the mainstream Yorubas observed their practices and instantly recognized it as the Aguda of old, You will notice that the returnees were not just catholics....there were methodists and anglicans and baptists. Except catholic which was singled out and called Aguda, all other sects were just known as kirio (Creole).

Now, we have a challenge. Before slavery who were the worshippers known as Aguda?

I think you opened a can of challenging worms when you inquire about Geesi. Have you also heard Yoruba call a person Amaro? Who are the Amaros?

Read up on Geez and Amharic.

Those who are descended from Ife who own the lands know themselves
Those descended from Ekiti, Oyo and other parts of yorubaland know themselves

......even Binis are Yorubas.

Mkokelvin:
History has been taken from us. There is problem.in the Land.

Africans Must Wake Up.

All Obas of Lagos trace their lineage to Ashipa,a war captain of the Oba of Benin. Ashipa was rewarded with title of Oloriogun (or War leader) and received the Oba of Benin's sanction to govern Lagos. Some Benin accounts of history have the Ashipa as son or grandson of the Oba of Benin. Other accounts note that Ashipa is a Yorubacorruption of the Benin name Aisika-hienbore(translated "we shall not desert this place"wink.

Ashipa received a sword and royal drum as symbols of his authority from the Oba of Benin on his mission to Lagos. Additionally, the Oba of Benin deployed a group of Benin officers charged with preserving Benin's interests in Lagos. These officers, led by Eletu Odibo, were the initial members of the Akarigbere class of Lagos White Cap Chiefs.

Prior to the arrival of the British, the Oba of Benin had "the undisputed right to crown or confirm the individual whom the people of Lagos elect[ed] to be their King".

The defeat of Oba Kosoko by British forces on December 28, 1851, in what is now known as the Bombardment of Lagos or Reduction of Lagos, or locally as Ogun Ahoyaya or Ogun Agidingbi (after boiling cannons), put an end to Lagos' s former allegiance to the Oba of Benin.

Kosoko was therefore the last Oba of Lagos to remit annual tributes from the people of Lagos to the Oba of Benin. Oba Akitoye, who was re-installed to the throne by the British, "seized the opportunity of his restoration under British protection to repudiate his former allegiance" to Benin and rebuffed subsequent tribute requests from the Oba of Benin.

Previous rulers of Lagos have used the titles of Ologun (derived from Oloriogun), Eleko and, most recently, Oba of Lagos.

The current Oba of Lagos, His Highness Oba Rilwan Akiolu, has served in the position since May 2003.
The defeat of Kosoko was not the act that stopped the tribute. Akitoye did not stop the payment in rebellion as you put it. These two should be corrected in your entry.

What stopped the payment was a recorded document of Treaty. That record highlighted the cesession of Lagos and its autonomy as a Crown Colony. In other words, its allegiance is signed to British Crown. This is what STOPPED the tribute to Bini. Akitoye was still in allegiance to Bini until death. His son Dosunmu signed treaty of 1861 and changed allegiance.

TAO11:
Thank you bro!

But I noticed bro that you appear to be waivering between two mutually exclusive thoughts.

You appear one one hand to be willing to concede that the story of the man Oduduwa literally dropping from the sky could not possibly have been "completely true" (or factual).

While you also on the other hand seem to want to (at the same time) hold on to the story as true, just because other people ("even the Bible" ) have some similar fantastic stories and lots of people do not contest these stories.

May be the story is true and may be it is not, but my argument is simply that we need to stop saying that it is TRUE just BECAUSE other cultures, religions, and civilizations also have similar fantastic stories which many people accept as true.

And also to stop saying that it is TRUE just BECAUSE it has been so passed down to us.

No, these two do not in any way constitute evidence upon which to really accept the story (or any story for that matter) as TRUE.

If the story is indeed true, then it should be because available EVIDENCE says so.

But unfortunately or fortunately, available EVIDENCE as examined by scholars of Yoruba History as shown demonstrably that that story, as it is, is actually not the case.

I hope to share some light below, in due course, on why this foregoing contrary conclusion is the case.

Cheers!
The story of Oduduwa descending from sky into a premordial orbit and creating elements out of there stands as is passed through oral history and recorded traditions. It possesses same historical value and validity as parallels that are the cultural histories of civilizations around the world. They are all without exception a body of traditional, historical, cultural and phenomenal knowledge, whether in Yoruba, in Egypt, in Mesopotamia, in Babylon, in Assyria, or wherever else they manifest as peoples history.

No. These two resuscitated ministries will be the arrow head, NFIU, to force ruga into local govt lands. They will never put Southerner to head it. Expect to see fulani as Head. If they put a Southerner it will be a weak one and deputized with a Northerner that will have the true power. Just like they did in NNPC with Baru as DG and more power than the Minister of State.

Just so you know...

Sowore declared his intention to contest for presidency...
Sowore rejected every coalition that could possibly unseat the disastrous ruling party...
Sowore spent more time attacking the candidacy and personality of the ruling party's strongest opposition than making his manifestos known....
Sowore was confident of winning the presidential election though he didn't ensure he had party agents in majority of the poling units...
Sowore lost election and hibernated in a hurry...
Sowore want to lead a revolution just after the release of ministerial list...

Sowore na guy man
What all these have to do with the message of #revolutionnow ?
Politics › Re: 4 Key Arguments Against Sowore’s #revolution Now!! by MetaPhysical: 6:54am On Aug 05, 2019
OP is stuck in the semantics.

There are various ways in which to change social order and revolution as one of the ways is as valid a legitimate path as is electoral process of change. Even a coup is also a change in social order. We had a change in social order in the coups of 66. We had a change in social order in the war of 67-70. We had a change in social order when Obasanjo handed over to civilians in 1979 and refused to go back to the Parliament System but instead adopted Democracy. We had a change in social order when NADECO forced the government to concede grounds and returned us to Democracy in 1999.

The Americans had a change of social order when they refused to adopt monarchy and instead invented their Republican Democracy. They had a change in social order which through social unrest culminated in breakthrough policies now called Civil Rights Act.

So do us favor and re-evaluate the goal objective of #revolutionnow. Focus on that message, not its messenger.

do dead people still earn retirement?
Good question!

Retirement can be claimed by eligible surviving family members after the death of the beneficiary. The benefit ends when the eligible survivor dies.

If you have an aged father or mother on retirement benefit please read their benefit papers and make sure you understand the terms. If you dont understand it get a benefits administrator, an accountant or an attorney to educate on the terms. Very important!

There is no right I enjoy as a Nigerian who is not Igbo, that Nigerians that are Igbos do not also enjoy.

What the Igbos have been prevented from achieving is their gluttonous desire to have everything to themselves alone.

They have simply found it derogatory and frustrating that they need the approval of others to have their way, while other tribes do not suffer from the arrogance that considers compromise and intertribal alliances as necessary for progress in a heterogeneous nation.
Say no more! grin grin

If Adichie wants justice we will bring it by way of giving Presidency to Igbo but we will also break up Ladipo Market, Alaba Market, ASPAMDA, SabonGari...and allocate shops judiciously to all Nigerians in equitable scale so that Igbo monopoly in trade is broken down and everybody is on a even platter.
