Cindino20: As a follow up to our conversation..... My Shower height is abt 9ft and the Iron guy said 3ft of the water stand will go beneath the ground level...thats abt 12ft....To get good pressure I am considering going for 20 ft, which wll give me ca. 8ft above my shower.
Do you think this will be enough to get good water pressure?
I will also aprecise the input of others who ve done over head water tank.
Thank you very much in advance.
C. this is what I will tell you, the standing tank should not be taller than your parapet. Your house is the center of attraction in your home. So if the standing tank gets taller, it becomes awkward. Good evening sir |

Centrallock: Please i need an estimate for a water tank stand, I wish to build a stand high enough to pump from the tank to my house. Just two rooms, toilet and kitchen. if it's bungalow, 12ft with a single 1000 gallons tank will be good. If it's a storey building, 25-28ft with two 750 gallons above and another 500 on the middle |

Cindino20: Thank you very much for the feedback...My plumber is suggesting 25 ft or so...It seems from the suggestion here that it is okay as far as the tank above the roof/shower level. 25 to 28ft is for a storey building depending on the height of the building. Anything above 15ft and the stand will be taller than the building and as such it will look abnormal. No welder sef will want to waste materials like that unless of course you bring the money and willing to spend it |

Cindino20: Hello All,
What is the recommended height of water stand for good water pressure for Bungalow?
18ft ...20ft or 25ft?
Thank you very much in anticipation of a prompt response.
C. maximum of 12ft for a bungalow. Who told you 18 to 25ft If you get the measurements yourself, climb the roof of the building and measure to the ground floor that should give you about 12 to 13ft maximum. Now consider that there will be base foundation upon which the channel will rest upon which will be at least 16" so do the maths yourself |

ty01: I was hesitant after reading about the lamentations of some people that have been scammed on this platform but with courage and after doing some due diligence on money121’s work on some pages here, I decided to give working with him a try.
I chatted him up and he responded immediately even though I didn’t mention I was a prospective customer, but was only trying to gauge his professionalism. I was satisfied with his responses and for the first time in my life, I chose to do business with someone I have never met.
After negotiations, I transferred over 90% of the cost (2.4m) to him and in less than a minute I got a response confirming payment. Few minutes later he sent pictures and videos of the roofing materials being loaded. In less than 24 hours, the materials were on site and the roofers had already started work. His turnaround time is unbelievable!
The materials supplied was 22sqm short (this was my fault as I initially disagreed with his measurement but now I know better). Despite the inconvenience I caused him, he personally brought the remaining materials to site and that was really touching. He completed the entire work in less than three days despite the imposed curfew and some restrictions in movement.
In all of this, some qualities I noticed are: 1. Good interpersonal skill 2. Honesty and transparency 3. Customer service 4. Respect and commitment 5. Amazing turnaround time 6. Real time two-way communication and feedback.
I recommend Imran (money121) for your roofing works based on my personal experience with him. God bless you sir and may your business continue to grow! good morning sir. The am pleased to hear that report from you. Please sir would you mind giving me the opportunity to do the iron works for you. My services includes but not limited to iron doors, window burglaries, handrails, step rails and standing tanks. Give me the opportunity and I promise I will impress you and cement your beliefs that there are still genuine people out here on the internet |

n3xt: I think it should be this way "All clients need to know that a house is a sum of its parts. Beautiful gates deserves a solid foundation."
The thing dey pain me you no dey Lagos all of us won't be in Lagos. Some will be hearing the tales of Lagos from Nairaland |
Properties › Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by michlins(m): 4:11pm On Oct 28, 2020 |
n3xt: Here’s the thing, many homeowners want to spend their more on buying beautiful gates – the first thing you’d see on any project - but spend less on installing the gates. Of course, no one is going to see foundation and the supporting columns.
We are quick to search for latest designs online and work with our local welders to come up with our dream gates but give not much consideration to the foundation. (I think I shared something on gate installation weeks back).
Just like we have In every house, the foundation remains the most important part of any project - even foundation of a gate.
Beyond having good foundation, it’s also advisable to introduce wheels at the end of heavy gates to take the weight.
Using lighter gauge materials does not make a gate stronger, it makes it weaker.
I have a gate that’s almost 3 times heavier than my neighbour’s gate. He has repaired his gate 3 times in 5 years. I’ve never had to do anything.
________ One other thing is gate design. An open gate will always be lighter than a fully-covered gate especially when there’s wind sail. I have to give it to you but you know your onus when it comes to these things. You really do understand the difficulties I face when working. Do I do something strong and simple or do I do something fancy and good. Do something strong and you don't know what the homeowner intends to do at foundation. If all clients will be just like you who understands that it takes more than strong materials to work |

n3xt: I’ll have to check but here’s something I’m working on for a residential project.
The beauty of gates is in the thickness of the plates used. A 3mm thick plate will give you a very clean gate. when you say 3mm, do you mean complete 3mm pan or 2.5mm cause I know what the weight of 2.5mm pan is alone. Add all those things and it becomes too heavy for some pillars to carry. Then imagine what 3mm will be like. But it's always a bliss working with 2.5mm pan cause you don't have to worry about the smoothness of the work. |

PerfectlyPerfect: I don't believe the cloning version but I believe there's a possibility that there's truth in the rumor of his death. Presidents sometimes make use of look-alikes who represent them in dangerous situations, such as a press conference in a volatile region. Cosmetic surgery is usually used to make the person look as similar to the other person as possible. The person who we call "President" may actually be a look-alike and not the real Buhari. Also, if you'll analyze with an open mind, you'll know there's something fishy going on. Remember when Musa Yar'Adua died, the presidency denied his death for so long until they couldn't any longer. I mean, this is Nigeria, anything is possible do you know what the death of Buhari will mean for lots of people like Dasuki and el zazakky. These people have people in the highest office of the land and none of them have come out to say he's dead. I hate discussing this because it dumbs my brain |

For a fact, scientists haven't perfected cloning of complex organism. This won't even stop people from believing that Buhari is dead. Humans will always believe what they want to believe sha |
