Destroying that hospital is the biggest stupidity by any human. If you don't like it, leave it as it is and another government might like it.
Small cough and you will run abroad but will destroy the hospital used by ordinary people. I know it's not equipped and functional yet but a private company can be called to equip and manage. Not only will government be making money to sponsor their ostensious lifestyle, ordinary people like me can stop self medication and jobs created |

spyder880: Good morning Sir, I had the plans to paint the lower portion with a different colour when I started this building, I even placed the belts at a height to separate my lower colour with the paint for the rest of the house. It was the decision by my clients to fill up the compound so we can redirect rain water flow to the outside that swallowed the lower portion of the house. (See attached pictures of my wall separator as we were still building, see how high it was.)
Tiling the lower portion is good, but some people dont like the different look, plus the as compared to painting the lower portion, also consider the cost of extra tiles round such a big house. The rain water issue on the lower walls is a temporary issue, made worse because of the type of brown sand that was used on filling the flower bed when the rains were still falling heavily in the rainy season. I had wanted to delay that painting till the rains stopped, I am sure the staining cannot happen next rainy season if the flowers grow enough to absorb some of the impact of the rain hitting the ground around the walls. Then again, we decided to install the water collector much later, if we had put the water collector when it was raining, the water would have been channelled away from the walls.
The good news is that I have bought paints and we plan to repaint the lower portion with gray. Now would have been the proper time to paint thie whole outside walls, not then.
Thanks for your suggestions Sir, I appreciate your inputs a lot. Happy weekend Sir. when professionalism meets candour |

One4me: I like your determination and faith.
On the Openable Burglary, that Lock you used 'no-be-am' at all, because you will need a padlock on it and even that Padlock will be accessible from outside and wont be easy to open in an emergency like fire outbreak. What l think will be okay is: - Single action, open-system (press/lift a latch and Spring open). - Latch/Lock should not be visible or accessible from outside - Be at height where it is accessible to a Child of about 5yr old
But you have made a good start and you can only get better. Welldone Sir. see eh. Budget determines a whole lot of things. Tell someone to buy a jam lock key of about 5k for a burglary of about 10k. You see the economics of the whole thing. I grab your point but the owner of the job determines a whole lot of things. There's this key Egunmogaji2 took a photo of, that's the best thing that will work on such but ask him for the price of the lock to understand the difficulties. |

One4me: Before l mention names, trusted names, it will be good to know where your project is located. If in the East/South-South, l will say Spyder If it is anywhere above Lokoja (Up North), l will say Abduilwastecx, if it is after the Niger Bridge down South West, l will say Aventures, Segzy and one other name that l cant remember right now. Archy? Dareynx Paint? Gbadexy is your sure bet Material Costing and Project management? Hail QSfemi Electrical? Topsy Plumbing and the likes? Rotech CCTV? Twinskenny Tiles and bathroom stuffs? Endiasami (but not heard from him for a while) Roofing? Imram Roofing Granite and Sand Supply? Chekitaut but you will need to make sure his vehicle does not break down
There could be other people that have skipped my mind right now but I would gladly work with the above Builders.
#NotABibeli, if l missed your name, it does not mean you are not good, it simply means you have need to impress more on this thred and with the work you do. My apologies.
Keep us informed so we canalso help you answer questions and keep your Contractor on his toes. you see this type of list, I'm making it soon with my profession. It's not going to be easy but I will definitely make it soon. Attached is a picture of window burglary that's openable. Kindly note that it's not a finished product and your idea on how to improve on it is highly recommended. I intend to change the locks used with something more beautiful depending on the budget.

But most people said Tiles should come before doors the doors must come before the tiles. It's after you're done with the doors, the tiler will then use the floor available from the doors to set the tiles. No do that mistake. You might be forced to break some of your tiles to set the doors |

I also want a simple window buglary proof with galvanised iron for a 3 bedroom flat the design of the balcony will determine the price of it per meter. My door goes for 20,000 currently. The price of window protectors varies from design and choice of material. If you have any design in mind, I can give you a quote. The wrought iron rail inclusive. Thanks |

amakaDD: Maybe you could give it a week or two when stock will be replenished.. Except if you are in need of it urgently, buying in smaller quantities or the cost of delays outweighs waiting for the price to settle.
IMHO I'm not the person buying but from what I saw in that market, the price won't drop soon. The trucks aren't there and according to the sellers, cement sold for #3,200 on Monday |

Can I hear pros and cons from a Nigerias perspective?
Thanks. well I don't usually use this type of key here but it's best for wooden doors. Unless you have the tools, boring a hole to insert this key in an iron door will be somewhat rough. Another factor is that the key is probably more than 3" and that means it won't fit in the pipe. My 2cent |

siralos135: Testimony Time
Words fail me to express my gratitude to Gbadexy for being a shining light in the midst of the darkness I have seen from suppliers and artisans throughout my period of building my house.
I had watched and followed his comments for over two years. He supplied me basecoats and paints from lagos to Minna. He offered to share the tranportation cost with me by 50% and gave me extra base coats. When there was a delay,he assured me of getting another supply if that one failed. When I eventually got the Painting material ,he introduced a painter who managed the paints and even developed a different colour from to give my house the uniqueness we never expected. Thank you Gbadexy!!! My God will surprise you and very soon too.
Worthy of Mention is Saydfact! Always a phone call away answering questions and giving counsel. You have become more than an online friend sir, You are a brother! We never walk alone....
Topsy23 He supplied all my electrical materials without issues. He is someone I can always recommend.
Rotech77 You are one of a kind sir. Even though I couldn't eventually use his service due to constraints beyond me, he answers my questions promptly. I am sure we will still do things together very soon.
Michilin My water tank stand is standing beautifully done because of your counsel. You told me things to look at for and how to bargain properly. It worked!!! Thank you so much
Saturday, 14th of November 2020, a journey that started over 3 years ago became a reality as i moved into into my 3 bedroom bungalow.
To all the elders in the house, I say a very Thank You!!! Keep teaching us,we are learning!!!
On to the next one......by God's grace! I'm happy to help. Enjoy your new title. Oga landlord |
