Keepamsafe:After you finish eating the food, you will have energy; The energy must be useful and will be eventually used for something; sooner or later. We go hear! |
KarlTom:The link to the info page (nairametrics) was provided; but we all can also do some checks to confirm. |
Phlinx:Oando's financial statement for 2022 may not be fantastic; it seems they recorded some losses, based on extracts in the 2021 audited accounts. But their FY2023 results will be much better because the price of oil has been relatively high through out the year. I am seeing Oando in the range of N35-N50 soon after the release of their FY2023 results, provided the delisting no longer occurs. |
Pesuzok:PLEASE TAKE NOTE: 5 SHAREHOLDERS APPLY TO FED. HIGH COURT TO SET ASIDE ORDER TO DELIST OANDO I just read that some 5 shareholders have applied to the Federal High Court to set aside the order granting OODP the the right to acquire minority shareholdings in OANDO PLC. This could mean a new twist in the whole case. Source: see a reader (Abiodun-Johnson's) comment in the link/page below https://nairametrics.com/2023/12/06/court-adjourns-oandos-minority-stake-acquisition-case-to-february-5-2024/ |
saintfieldcastro:The reason is because of the Lagos factor; more Nigerians are able to speak Yoruba because a lot of people have either lived in, visited or were born or bred in Lagos and environs. Yoruba are not more chatty, loquacious, noisy, talkative than the Igbo. |
Gamesmart:A lot more Yoruba travelled using the education route which was the more popular and viable avenue for traveling to USA and Canada, followed by businesses. |
Difrent:You are also quoting Al Jazeera propaganda!. You could see clearly that the people in the huge dug hole are in the Gaza war front. |
Sultty:Occupation by who? The Arabs (so called Palestinians) are living on the land that belong to the Jews/Israelis. Go read your Koran Chapter 5:20-21 and the Bible if you care to know. |
olaremint:We are waiting to buy more of Oando (if possible), at the desired price range. Let the price go further down. |
OLAADEGBU:Congrats to her! But Computer Science is not on the same wavelength as Strategic and Digital Marketing when it comes to academic rigours. But she did well to graduate with Distinction in her course notwithstanding |
opicgif:Depending on your financial status and capacity; you can study law in some UK universities, through online/part-time studies e.g. University of London, University of Liverpool etc. You can also find out schools in Nigeria that offer such programmes, although I think NUC was trying to stop part-time law programmes in Nigerian universities. If you live or work in a university town/city, it may be much easier |
FiftyFifty:The Jebusites had been conquered and eliminated by the Jews more than 5,000 years ago, and the ones that remained alive had been assimilated as Jews. That is how it works. The Scripture, which especially the Bible(and to some extent the Koran) spoke about were centered around events that happened in the area or region that the Romans described as ''Palestine'', which comprised of Israel, Jordan, Sysria, Egypt, Lebanon. These are the people/countries that existed at that time in the region. Did you see any other separate country mentioned in that area called Palestine? No. There is no separate people or tribe or country called ''Palestinians''. Palestine is a name of the region. It does not refer to a separate people. The word ''Palestine'' was just used to describe the area. It is similar to when you say ''Sahel'', which also comprises of some countries but it does not mean that there a separate people or country called ''Sahelians'' If both the Bible and Koran do not mention any other people/country in the area apart from Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Jordan, then IT MEANS THAT THE COUNTRY DID NOT EXIST IN THAT AREA AT THAT TIME! The Arabs refugees that were displaced from the Jewish lands when the State of Israel was formed decided to adop the word ''Palestine'' or Palestinians in order to lay false claim and create the false impression that the region called Palestine was their original ''tribe'' or country. They are not the Canaanites and they are not the Jebusites. So let them tell you which tribe they come from. The Jews are always Jews and they had been living in the land long before the Romans came and called the place ''Palestine'' Even the Koran in chapter 5:20-21 also says that God gave the land of Israel to the Jews through Moses but your Arabic and Islamic teachers who hate Israel have manipulated your understanding of the Koran. |
FiftyFifty:David conquered Jerusalem from the Jebusites! Not Palestinians nor Arabs. Both scripture (Bible and Koran) are centered around events that happened mostly around places between the Iraqi border and the Mediterranean sea (the place that used to be called ''Palestine'') which encompassed names of places, towns, kingdoms in countries like Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Egypt. The Koran may talk other places or towns in e.g. Medina. If both the Bible and Koran did not mention any other country apart from Israel, Lebanon, Eqypt, Syria and Jordan, in the region or area that was referred to as ''Palestine'', then IT MEANS THAT COUNTRY NEVER EXISTED! This is the reason why the British created the State of Israel because Israel was the only country missing in the region after their conquest by the Roman empire. All the other countries still exist today as they are mentioned by both the Bible and Koran i.e. Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Egypt, Israel So where do you find a separate country called Palestine? It seems the adoption of the name ''Palestine'' by the Arabs is what is confusing and deceiving you. The place called West Bank today is Judea and Samaria in the Bible and it was ruled by Jews for thousands of years, long before the Roman empire evicted the Jews. Same as Jerusalem (which is a Jewish name and city) is now being claimed by Palestinians as their capital, even when the Jews had lived in that city for more than 4,000 years before the Arabs came to live there. |
Theopneustos:It depends on the maturity, understanding and respect between the two people involved, and how long and how close and freaky they have known each other. A couple (friends) might have been very close to each other for a very long time such that having sex on a first date is almost a given, especially if the lady is comfortable with the guy. |
Locotrader:This Oando is just like what Yoruba people call ''oja okukun'' i.e. underworld market or black market. The more you look, the less you see! |
Morbeta11:I don't know what people want to gain from saying that the Bini people founded Lagos, which is obviously false. The Bini people might have lived in riverine area in Lagos, and maybe they had the highest number of people living in the area. Every Bini man, including the Oba knows that Bini kingdom was founded by Oranmiyan who was a prince from Ile-Ife., the source of the Yoruba race. |
Yemike:Please go and buy Ciklavit and Nicosan. These are drugs approved for the treatment of sickle-cells |
motayoayinde:And more ''life'' and ''good living'' awaits Hamas, your terrorist friends? You are busy counting somebody's losses and ignoring the destruction in your territory (Gaza) You should go join and help Hamas kill the IDF forces so they could die faster! It is Hamas that pleaded for ceasefire, not Israel. You will know the feedback soonest! |
FiftyFifty:The 2 state solution had been proposed/offered in the past long before Yitzhak Rabin became prime minister in the 90s. but it was rejected by the Arabs. David did not conquer Jerusalem from the Arabs! The Arabs were not the people living on the land when David conquered Jerusalem. Ask yourselves why there were many Jewish temples and churches in Jerusalem for several hundreds of years long before the first mosque was built in Jerusalem? The Arabs migrated to the place now referred to as Palestine only after the Ottoman empire (from Turkey) conquered the region from the Roman empire and took over the whole landscape. It was the Roman empire that conquered the Jews and drove them away into exile in Europe and other parts of the world. The Ottoman empire then came and defeated the Roman empire and took over the whole land. The Jews could not do anything because they were in the minority and had been sacked by the Roman empire even before the Ottoman empire came. The Ottoman empire was also defeated by the British empire who looked into history and decided to return the land of the Jews back to them and created a State of Israel. But the Arabs who had been living on the Jewish land during the Ottoman empire decided to revolt because of their eternal hatred of the Jews. They never wanted Israel to exist as a nation. Mind you, there is no country or state called ''Palestine'' in history. There is no mention of Palestine or Palestinians in the Bible or Koran. But Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria etc are mentioned. The word ''Palestine'' was only used to describe or refer to the region from the Iraqi border to the Mediterranean sea; and comprises of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and parts of Egypt and Syria. The so called ''Palestinians'' are the Arab refugees who were earlier living on Jewish lands (taken from the Roman empire by the Ottoman empire) but became displaced when the land was returned to the Jews by the British, and refused to go back to their original countries like Jordan, Lebanon, etc. and rather demanded that they must have another country created for them on Jewish land while Israel must be off. |
FuckingMachine:It has nothing to do with Putin! What is happening in some European countries partly due to the medium to long term effects of Covid-19 pandemic and the change in the demographics of jobs. There are jobs but no enough workers to employ. They saw the problem in late 2022. That is why some of the European countries introduced job search/work visa early 2023 in order to attract more workers to come and work in order to avoid the economy going into recession. Russia's economy is also suffering but Putin would not allow any negative news to be published so as not to affect the citizens confidence in him and the useless war that he is fighting. And you are here calling him master strategist. Master strategist my foot! |

Guyman01:Some people just type silly things! How many African leaders do you know that deposited stolen money in Swedish banks? Please list their names. countries and the amount of stolen money that they had deposited in Swedish banks that you know. If you don't know, Sweden is a country driven by innovation and technology, and have some of the biggest manufacturing, IT and engineering companies in the world e.g. ABB, Volvo, Tetra-Pak, True-caller, Spotify, Atlas Copco, Ericsson, IKEA, Scania etc. Learn before you type recklessly. Recession is an economic phenomenon which could be triggered by various factors, especially after disruptions caused by Covid-19 |
Daddyyin:How would Swedish citizens curse their leaders when the country has been one of the countries with the highest standard of living in the world for decades and their leaders are not known to be corrupt and rig elections to stay in power? This current challenge is temporary and transient in nature and the people would understand. It is different from a country like Nigeria that has been perpetually mismanaged since independence and citizens don't have access to basic things of life like water, electricity, good roads, social security etc. |
FiftyFifty:Can you tell me the original name of West Bank? That is Judea and Samaria in the Bible! How did Judea and Samaria become cities of Arabs? The bitter truth is that people who call themselves ''Palestinians'' are nothing but descendants of refugee Arabs who had come to live on Jewish land and were displaced when State of Israel was created. They refused to go back to their original Arab countries (e.g. Jordan, Lebanon, Syria etc.) but rather wanted to occupy the Jewish land and claim ownership of Jewish ancestral inheritance. It is all part of the grand plan to see Israel destroyed and wiped off the surface of the earth. They are even claiming that Jerusalem must be their capital! Nonsense! Israel is mentioned in both the Bible and Koran; there is no Palestine mentioned anywhere! |
Shoodboi:Please shut up if you have nothing to sensible to say. Who are the people that worship at the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem? Are they not Palestinians? Who are the people living in the eastern part of Jerusalem? Are they not the Palestinians? Dead people can be identified; A dead man would have an identity card, passport in his pocket. His biometrics can be used to identify him. Is your brain too confused to understand that? You know very little or nothing about the place but you want to talk foolish things! |
Asunaky:How much would it cost for 2 or 3 new remote key locks for Toyota Highlander 2005/06? |
Mateco556:Clueless government desperate for money. Oil price would crash below USD77 after the winter in Europe. USD 60- USD65 should be the most realistic range for prudent management. But they are banging their hopes on volatile prices that would disappoint them and cause huge budget deficits and attendant deficit financing. |
Streetinvestor2:I guess these shareholders are the ones that Wale said had been settled with about USD600m! This revelation by Wale is key and should be factored in in whatever analysis we are doing. What is bothering me is the court case that is being adjourned even after the so called 14 minority shareholders had been settled and paid off! So who is/are the other party/parties still contending with OANDO in the court case if the 14 minority shareholders that went to court had already been settled and paid off? |
Truth234:What you type does not make sense. Both the people and government are liable. There is Monitoring and Compliance department in most state agencies. Adequate monitoring would have detected or observed when the buildings were begun, at the foundation stage before completion You cannot justify lack of proper monitoring and shift the whole burden on the builders. Monitoring is key to compliance in all civic activities. It is more effective, cost effective and less disruptive. Demolishing buildings after waiting for years for the buildings to be completed is not the best and can be manipulated as weapon for vindictiveness |
OakPearl:This is a highly informed piece on the possible situation on Oando. If the court case was specifically for 14 minority shareholders, I am still yet to read any specific court order/judgement to that effect. But Wale told the AGM that Oando was forced by SEC to settle some shareholders to the tune of USD600m! Was that settlement sequel to a specific judgement by the court, or purely an out-of-court settlement? And if the 14 minority shareholders are no longer in the picture, then why is the case still being adjourned farther in court and not struck out? Who is still representing the `14 minority shareholders in court? Like I said earlier, this Oando matter is full of some possible shenanigans, manipulations, whims, caprices, sentiments, suspense, dealings etc. |
Mfunkynation:Prophet told us clearly that the court case today would come and go; and that nothing would happen to Oando |
