Who owns the house? The man, the woman or both?

If it's owned exclusively by the man, he will get away with it here in Nigeria. I am not a lawyer but you know how the Nigerian Justice system works.

I did ask the embassy a similar question about this and they replied after a long time. According to their email;

It is obtainable ONLY IF you are married to your spouse
The Child is yours with proof

You will be required to fund a blocked account higher than the 8k+. They refused to give me the exact figure and said it will be fixed by the Alien office.

Your spouse is generally allowed to work with or without German proficiency. But they did not specify if there are restrictions on the number of hours she can work.

I can't. Why would I want to live in a situation where I can't open a bank account, get a decent job or set up a business, always hiding from the police, stress of being caught or worst still, to be rough handled and bundled on a plane.

Some people can do that, not me. I had the option to follow somebody on such cases but I declined. I can't handle the emotional trauma. But I will be going this September sha. LEGALLY.

It's simple. Most are illegal migrants who went on a tourist visa and overstayed.

My cousin and her husband both went to USA for a party that hasn't finished since about 1year ago. Despite both being very educated, they can't get jobs as they are illegal. They keep dragging the illegal jobs with the Mexicans. Jobs I'm sure most of us will not do in Nigeria, even in these hard times.

They can't come back home for fear of being seen as a failure.

Graduate, good relationship, good family, Going abroad for Masters, Good financial and health situation etc but psychologically, I'm dying and suffering from depression.

I suddenly have become so timid, lacking confidence and slipping away from friends, family, everyone except my gf. These days, I just lock myself inside the house, don't pick calls and then the cycle of depression starts. When it's night, I'm already scared of tomorrow because I know it's gonna be the same cycle.

I don't even know what I'm depressed about but I am very sure something is wrong with me.

I need a psychologist, Counselor or just anybody who is willing to help before I do something stupid.

Who told you there are much black Africans in France? Sub Saharan Africa only represents 12% of the total number of immigrants in France compared to North Africa with 30% of Immigrants.

I took a flight to Abuja on Sunday for my appointment on Monday at the Romania Embassy. I heard Romanian officials are bureaucratic, I didnt believe it but I'm witnessing it firsthand. They have refused to accept my application and I have been asked again to come tomorrow. They don't even care where I have been sleeping.

Tomorrow is when my patience runs out. I have been wearing the same dirty cloth to the embassy since.

Thank God I still have my SIA admission as backup. I'd rather apply to a regular program.

If you are looking to get employment, you have to come back and reapply for work visa. You cannot convert a tourist visa to employment visa.

Imagine living everyday of your life running from immigration, you wont be able be able to do proper work or even open a bank account. And think of the shame that will come when you are finally deported with nothing but the clothes you have on you. You won't be able to go back home and will end up on the streets of Lagos.

Being an illegal immigrant is not worth it.

You have a tourist visa and you intend to work. No wonder embassies are wary of Nigerians.

And secondly, there require an airline ticket (compulsory), Why should I buy a ticket when the visa isn't sure in the first place.
