Exemption is only for those who graduated after 30. The man could have graduated years ago and absconded, or decide to postpone NYSC.

So if you graduated 20years ago and immediately went abroad, when you are back, you will be obliged to serve your country no matter how old you are by then

Naira to float against the US dollar at the inter-bank
market, rather than holding on to a fixed peg.

What this means, however, is that buyers of foreign
exchange for importation of goods, holiday, school
fees, medical tourism, online payments etc, will have to
source from the inter-bank market-determined rates
and will no longer be able to buy forex at N199 or
whatever official rate the CBN decides to adopt.

@ UncleJudax, it cannot be 280/Euro. Dollar itself is 286 so I'll be surprised if Euro doesn't get to 320. They just want to be make it official today.

Form A transaction will be based on CBN rate. It will be higher than the present rate. Lets estimate euro to 330(as against present cbn rate of 230)to 1 naira. Meaning for 8k euro you need to budget 330×8,000
=2,640,000....its unfavourable
The only benefit is parallel market rate will crash at the long run.the gap between cbn rate and aboki's will be reduced.

The admission letter doesn't carry any thing about fees as such. Please did you request for it or how did you prove the 8k is all for studies.

Mine was not 8k for blocked account. Not all courses in Germany are free. Mine is a fee paying European Joint Course(4200€/year).

I have been here before. I just had to open this account after I got banned.

I opened an account and did my Form A at first bank on Thursday. Though it was for tuition.

I went with all needed documents ( Passport, Admission letter, School fees invoice, notification of result as my certificate isn't ready yet)
They helped me write the letter to debit and I only needed to sign and fill the Form A form. It was straightforward and I was told I would be debited this week. So I'm still waiting.

The embassy only directed me to their website and dodged the question. I'll go physically by Monday once I'm done with form A for tuition
