Yorubas can't rule before the Igbos.

Get that into your mind if you don't want the Biafrans to forcefully declare their sovereignty.
We shouldn't be talking about who should 'rule' but rather how to decentralize power so that the presidency does not matter as much.

With oil revenue or without oil revenue the north will remain the same useless north until they change their cultural beliefs/practices.

Afam4eva:
I've seen people bringing up this school of thought more frequently recently and i think it' imperative that i add my 2cents.

We have become very stingy and greedy generation. These days people just want to enjoy by themselves without anybody to fend for.

As much as i believe that the burden should be reduced on the first borns, it's important to note that almost every good thng of life usually accrues to first born but educationally, financialy etc in order for them to come out better human beings and be able to fend for the younger ones who weren't as privileged.

For them to now come out when they have "Made it" and start complaining is selfish in my opinion. We're not American for fvck sake. Our families are our lives. We have to take care of them until they stand on their own feet.
You talk absolute nonsense.

A lot of people (especially in Nigeria where people don't think before they do) are born into families where they aren't able to take care of those children. The first born usually bare the brunt of this unpreparedness.

As to your comment about being 'selfish', what is more selfish than having children, not because you have anything to offer them but because you want to brag about how many you "done born"?

It's almost as if you are in complete denial as to how many of Nigeria's problems are due to reckless breeding, irresponsible parenting and a lack of demographic planning. The same nonsense that Nigerians do within the nuclear family is the same reckless way that they have managed government (and some private businesses), this is the reason for the chaos and stop-start development.

ok Mr Lecturer, Mr Wiser than Bible and God combined together, God ask me to tell you that His ways are different from your own way , and Proverbs 21 vs 2 says Every way of a man is right in his own eyes
Moral relativism has been shown to be very dangerous.

That's how you end up with people who think that buying and raping a child is acceptable.

Or why some people thing it's ok to detonate explosives in crowded places.

Some things are clearly destructive and stupid - such as enriching religious charlatans while others suffer.

If all that money that is wasted on tithes were put to good use Nigeria would be in a much better place.

Victor Moses does so, consistently.

REPENT AND GIVE YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST!!! THESE ARE ALL SIGNS OF END TIME.
You realize that places where no one goes to church and no one prays to your fictional friend don't suffer from these illnesses. Are they supposed to 'repent' too?

Maybe the solution is to repent and turn away from senseless superstition and fatalism.

felixomor:
Why is southern nigeria ashamed of its resources?

If the north had crude oil, I can only imagine how they would be reminding us everyday.

What a shame!
It's not about being 'ashamed' it's about being aware that there is more to building an economy than simply extracting crude oil and selling it abroad.

Does the wife also offer physical protection?

Does the wife also keep a cool head when things aren't going well?

Is the wife accountable for her actions?
Politics › Re: No Fund For Eastern Rail Projects Yet - FG by mmsen: 9:48pm On Oct 10, 2017
Look at this nonsense:

"The other railway from Kano to Maradi in Niger Republic"

No money for eastern railway but you can build from the most impoverished part of Nigeria into one of the most impoverished countries in the world - that is more viable?

Al-majiri are going to pay rail fare?

What nonsense are these people talking?

Can you tell me why south hasn't and looked to make money like Israelis. I do agree they should have. We have government report detailing some issues like in Lake Chad area. I think they didn't just because they were irresponsible and didn't fund universities.
Southerners going north to try and solve their problems will be used as pretext for another pogrom.

This is good news. Nigeria does need to do better with water management. Their tech would be very useful north but states need to do their part by regulating water use better.

This is going to be excellent troll thread. Nobody's going to read or comment on story. The urge to mock IPOB will be too strong.
Did you hear what the man said? He said that Israel had a problem and researched solutions.

Can anyone explain why the north has not done so?

Non essential things like building new schools while the existing ones languish. Building new roads while existing ones languish. If maintenance culture is an A plus or carries a high priority, then it will open the innovative mind to see where new roads are needed. No reliable power supply. And i support maintenance, renovation, and innovation anytime but sensibly because our country cannot do all three at the same time right now.
Nigeria needs new roads, there are insufficient roads for the number and vehicles in the country. Even more so when the population doubles every 25 years.

Same for the new schools. People want to add children into the environment without thinking about adding the infrastructure. That is pure stupidity.

The issue with power supply is the same, that too will require new infrastructure.

Your points have no merit.

Population control from outside the continent; if they have collaborators in Nigeria is a possibility that is likely. We are not helping ourselves by being a dirty country. Instead of building new non essential things, what about maintaining the cleanliness of the street, a comprehensive sewer network, just renovating the current infrastructure. Nigeria is just an idiotic country. Tufiakwa. We are waiting for the foreigners that did this to come help us when their numbers have not reached. How idiotic is that?
What 'population control'? It isn't fatal.

You want to talk about idiotic but your whole comment is nonsense.

The new 'non essential things' are needed, you're too simple to see that. Maintenance, renovation and innovation are all needed. Especially in a country such as Nigeria with a ridiculously high birth rate.

With the players he has at his disposable they should be playing better.

Rohr reminds me of all the useless European coaches who have squandered all the talent that Cote D'Ivoire has had over the past 15 years. Yes, they'll qualify but they don't do so with any great conviction and they don't do well at tournaments.

For some years now, Peugeot has reduced it's advertising at least in the Nigerian market. They have always, in my opinion, been on the same pedestal as Mercedes on performance, but the later is beginning to outclass them in design. Good one Peugeot, we're watching.

Wow! I take that back! Peugeot has definitely been uping it's game. This their 2018 models in the picture below are definitely for heavy men.
Peugeot struggle to compete with the Japanese and Korean manufacturers. How did you decide that they are on the same pedestal as Mercedes when it comes to performance?

So they have now put Unity Bank , the only Northern bank in Central bank of Nigeria"s Premises.

The current Central Bank picture i am seeing there now have Unity bank with them unlike before. Buhari is a tribalist walahi. How can a whole Nigeria Central Bank give Unity Bank a space in its premises. Is the Central Bank Of Nigeria not a Nigerian bank again. Even Abacha as bad as he was, wasn't so mean and tribalistic like this Buhari.

My problem isn't Buhari himself, because that one can never change. My problem are his supporters from the south who have refused to understand Buhari himself.
That's an advertising hoarding not a branch sign.

Things haven't regressed that much, thankfully.
