FamilyRe: See What My Neighbour Did, What Would You Do If It Was You? by MNDY(m): 12:55pm On May 10, 2022
Mom007:
Ha.
I pray they don't steal your new bus. He is not saying he wants to rent your services as the bus owner..., he is saying you should give him the bus to drive off into gods know where in... Mr man how well do you know your neighbor? These days that even a brother is not trustworthy...
I would advice against it o. even the bible says the heart of man is desperately wicked. Tell him you will carry him at a discount price to cover fuel and wear and tear but do not give anyone your bus for free. If you didn't buy a bus when you did, he would have still sorted his problem.
A friend lent a neighbor her car, he used it to bash a NEPA pole. The pole broke o... A concrete pole. So imagine the speed the slowpoke was going at... They had to replace the pole before even being allowed to carry the wreckage of the car. Till today, they have nor been able to fix the car as the engine was affected. All because they didn't say NO when they ought to.
Na this saying NO don put me inside serious problem like this. My small sibling in school had to pay school at the last minute before writing exams and there was no money on ground. Had to transfer to her the whole remaining amount in my account meant for my feeding before salary payment. I couldn't help it. She bad returned home crying throughout the week before exam and efforts to get the money elsewhere by my parents all proved abortive. Now, I'm literly starving. I don't have a dime and I've been unable to get someone to borrow from.

At this point, I am very confused about the situation in the east. Where do the ones killing people anyhow actually belong? IPOB? ESN? Autopilot? Or just criminal elements doing their thing under the cover of Biafra? Or DSS and military as claimed by some? Or aggrieved family members of people slain by the military in the east?

Buhari you are a failure in governance, because I know you are only paying lip service.

Buhari set the gains of this country back by more than 10 years of tumultuous policies.

In Nigeria of today, even the very rich leave in fear. The poor have resigned themselves that they could become dead at any point in time from bullets and matchets of bandits, kidnappers and security agencies.
He contracted those criminal elements from neighbouring countries through El-Rufai to disturb the country if he did not win that election versus Johnathan; threatened a bloodbath in that regard. Even made Emefiele withdraw money given to them to support the cause. Now, they can't control the situation anymore as he actually won. Na wetin e use im hand draw we dey see now.

She should be careful to avoid her child becoming fat. I suffered during my childhood because of being fat. Low self esteem, other kids making fun of me and shit. Worst thing is that my parents thought because I was fat, I was health and most parents still do this today. As for me, my kids will never be fat. It it's to starve them, i will.
Apart from the discrimination, fat can kill from breathing complications.

Mypeople2:
Can you imagine the nonsense ? Just because of greeting... Dem dey chop greeting?
I'm sorry about your ordeal.

This greeting is the problem I have with the Yoruba's. I made it very clear to my Yoruba friend that if you greet too much in other parts of Nigeria (north, southeast, southsouth etc), you will be considered a village boy. My friend said greeting is but just a part of the Yoruba culture as a sign of respect to the elderly and for friendliness purposes too. I get his point but salutation is not love, plus greeting too much not only cheapens you as an individual, it's stressful and considered as disturbance sometimes. On top all the greeting in their culture, the Yoruba's disrespect the elderly and commit all other sorts of rubbish.

As a stranger, I must say, Greeting is a serious part of Yoruba culture that even an older person even greets younger one, bending over or prostrating is required for a younger person, one-by-one greeting etc. I've clashed with some over this greeting in their region. The first was my colleague at work. I had greeted them together, when I met her later to inquire about something, she challenged me that I did not greet her first (a normal thing they do say though). But hers really pissed me off that I quarreled her because I felt very bad that I brought myself to her to make that enquiry and get that embarrassment. After greeting them together, I should be greeting everybody one by one too? Others around defended me. She kept saying she doesn't know that's how my tribe does and that even annoyed me more. Emphasizing respect and how I brushed past her standing on the way. I later got to know as a newcomer that she is actually a lousy mu.mu in the office known by all to be a reckless talker. She has proven it wella so far too.

My second greeting experience with the Yoruba greeting was even a recent one. My landlord and two other elderly men and a young guy were at the front having a drink. I came to them, greeted and asked my landlord for NEPA bill. His elderly friend raised his voice at me that I had my hand in my pocket while greeting the landlord talking about the Yoruba as the most respectful and how he knows I was paying for rent but he had to correct me, the young guy followed to talk to me anyhow too. I made them know I was checking to be sure of the key to the door I just locked in my pocket and not putting my hand in my pocket while talking to the elderly. The landlord and his other elderly friend in my defense said I do greet them but I really felt harrassed nonetheless especially with the other young guy contributing to the matter. I don't know if the man who harassed me was high on the drink or something. I just did not want to spoil my mood so I quickly ended the talk and left.

The third was a lady in a betshop where I do come to charge. She spoke in Yoruba that I don't greet. It angered me because where I come from if you challenge someone about greeting, it is an insult saying the person has no manners. Over here, it definitely means something else - unfriendliness I think. I asked her if everyone entering the betshop comes to greet her. She had tried to famz me on many occasions and I just was not into her.

Kelvin30286063:
Hmm been here.
I live in Akure and I work for NIEPA (National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration) has a CBT programmer. Sometimes in 2019, I got transfered to the institution's office in Ondo so I had to rent a 3 bedroom apartment somewhere in town. Because the institute does not have an office space available for me yet, they allowed me to work from home most times. Everything was fine until 6 months later when SARS came to my house one early morning. They came in commando style that day, first they said they got informatoon that I was the one supplying guns to the thieves in the town. I was shocked. They searched my whole house and took me away. My wife was so shocked that she almost had a heart attack.
Long story short, they let me go after a whole day when they couldn't find anything incriminating on me, my laptop or phone.
Here is the point of all these. 3 months after the incident, the landlord's association in my area held the monthly meeting at my house (my own landlord does not live there) they used my living room. The meeting got out of hand and they started fighting each other over money. As a tenant, I was not allowed in the meeting even though they were using my living room but suddenly I heard one of them say "That's how you go and report this innocent man to Police because you say he doesn't greet you." at first, I didn't know they were talking about me, then the person that said it called me, Bros, bros, it is this thief that told police to come to your house that day! Lo and behold, it was the chairman of association of landlords that sold me out to SARS cos he felt I was too proud just because I have seen him a few times and I drove past him without greeting him.
Funny part is, I didn't even know he was the chairman until that day.
My wife was in the bedroom, she came out and scattered everywhere with shouting. I wanted to press charges but begging was too much that day and he may simply deny it.
I'm sorry about your ordeal.

shocked

I am greatly saddened.
See how a small girl died without utilizing the full potential of her kpekus.

That's why we should always pray to be at the right place at the right time.

She slumps in front of a priest, rather than take off her bra, compress her chest and give her urgent mouth-to-mouth to resuscitate her, the mumu sprinkled holy water on her and drove her to a hospital.

We are so ignorant, CPR would have brought this girl back to life but apparently someone holier than god thought pressing an unconscious woman's boobs to save her life was a sin.

In retrospect, I don't blame him, it may have been wiser to allow her die than save her life by going even half an inch to her boobs because these vaginarians are very funny.

He could save her now and tomorrow she'd drop a horrendous thread on Twitter about a perverted reverend father who took advantage of her "moment of brief incapacitation from exhaustion" to tongue her down and man-handle her boobs.

And yes, we'd cancel the good Samaritan here, the vaginarian gains clout; feminist movements will sue him to further assert how all men are scum and why women are endangered species worth preservation because the future is female.

As a man, it's really risky helping a female these days.
This man! No make me laugh I take God beg you.

NDLEA scientists must be allowed to do that screening. Let us start solving this governance problem now.
Bello is definitely both a druggie and a psycho. We noticed it and begged Buhari, Tinubu and Oshiomole to give the ticket to another person who presented himself. They refused and pushed Kogites into harsher hardship by bringing him back to power. This move by NDLEA is long overdue. Why have they ignored this for long? If doping test is done in sports, why not in politics that is even more crucial and affects people's wellbeing.

If you are a married man and you're sleeping with another woman, you are laying a curse on your seed thereof, just know that the seed from the other woman will become societal menace, and only the grace of God will such man be vindicated(can an adulterous man pray for his children and God will listen?) We are talking about the rate and reaction. Admit it, your region is leading. I have travelled far and wide too. Infact I am currently in your region. Just say your people are soft and treating it with kid's gloves that is why it is rampant among your people. When a ritualist was caught in my hometown, he was burnt to ashes. Ever since then, nobody can try it again. I know you Yoruba's very well, I have lived in your region for long. Your society does not show seriousness to tackle any bad thing. That is the problem.

I seriously express my displeasure about this rubbish to my Yoruba friend everytime. He is among the good ones, always ashamed of it and condemns it totally. You would think they are very accommodating, respectul and not hostile like other tribes until they butcher a human comfortably before your very eyes. I told my friend how mere seeing pictures like this sends chills down the spine of people of other tribes like me, let alone watching a human being being butchered or doing it. I asked him if the Yoruba's are so comfortable butchering a human like that or not so touched to see or witness it because they are into butchering goat very well as they like goat meat a lot. Or maybe their kings are involved in these things too and that is why their traditional institution and security are not very serious about tackling it headlong.

There is always a paradigm shift.... Changing times and all!

If a man can't have the decency and morals to desist from philandering, why should any woman be compelled to have the decency and morals to decline?!!

Who gave women the bigger power?!! When did this happen??! How did it happen?!!...

Expecting or even demanding that women stay chaste while men are permitted even celebrated in promiscuity makes no sense whatsoever!
The woman holds such immense power to make sex happen with or without even the man making any move first. That is why the emphasis is seriously on the woman. Moreso, she has the final say on either making the sex happen or not and making the man's request useless altogether.

Why the unusual focus on women tho?!! Do they now outcheat men?!?

Well, forget all that gist up there, anyone dissatisfied in a relationship (even marriage) will eventually cheat! Whether men or women!
Do you know why the focus is on women? You can't blame the man approaching them as much as you blame them holding the power to say Yes or No to the advances. Women hold the bigger power.
