Politics / Re: Amaechi Became Governor Without Participating In Election by MosD: 8:31am On Mar 31, 2022
amzee:
The Nigerian Politician Who Became Governor Without Participating In Election

It is a fact that the candidate/Party with the
majority of votes is qualified to be declared
the winner of any Election in Nigeria.
Despite the fact that specific factors were
involved, Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate Past
Governor of Rivers State and the current
Minister of Transportation, became Governors
without participating in the Election.

How Did This Happen?

Amaechi was the winner of the PDP
Governorship Primaries in Rivers State in
2007.
However, during the April 2007 General
Elections, his name was replaced with that of
Sir Celestine Omehia, who appeared on the
ballot.

The People Democratic Party, PDP won the
election, Amaechi then went to court, and on
October 26, 2007, the Supreme Court ruled in
his favor and ordered Omehia's removal as
Governor of Rivers State, as well as the
issuance of a Certificate of Return to Amaechi,
who was the Authentic Winner of the PDP
Gubernatorial Primaries.

Amaechi remains the only Nigerian politician
to have accomplished this achievement till
date.

So how did Yahaya Bello emerge if, according to you, it's only Amaechi thus far

You made the mistake many men make from the onset. You over pampered her and not allow her to be responsible. You said she has a good job, yet you give her transport daily. So in which area is she being responsible to herself talkless of the family?

To pick northern consensus aspirant?

So what happened to igbo presidency?

Is it that pdp doesn't give a damn about igbos?

And Ohanaeze cannot talk to pdp to pick consensus aspirant from the SE, yet it is Tinubu in a different party that is sowing seed of discord?

Omenkalives, abeg come help me see groove. cheesy

You sure didn't read it with open mind. They are not choosing a consensus candidate for the PDP. They are choosing consensus candidate for PDP northern aspirants. PDP south east aspirants can as well choose their own consensus candidate

CryptoTeacher:
Hardship is about to bite harder. Many more businesses will fold, many more people will be out of jobs, those still with jobs will have lower purchasing power, insecurity will rise and the cycle continues as the government will remain helpless. Wahala no dey finish

Yes, I agree with this. But the ironical part is that government will have more money!
Until we start refining internally, every situation will be working against the masses; crude oil price is low, we bear the brunt, crude oil price skyrocket, we still suffer it. It's a hell of a system!

Literature / Amazon Stops Supporting Kindle Content In Africa by MosD: 10:07pm On Jun 27, 2020
I had been procrastinating on self publishing my manuscript that came third in an all African crime fiction contest; The World Will Be Your Oyster. And when I finally decided to do, I did extensive research on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and I concluded it was a good start.

I, however, became worried after my book went live on Amazon KDP and I rolled it out on social media but people keep complaining they can't buy it from Nigeria.

I did some digging, no light. I then queried amazon. Their response partly read: "Kindles and Kindle content are currently unavailable in  Nigeria and Africa."

Unfortunately, I've given them the sole right for sale which will span for 6months.

I'm dropping this piece here so others will not make the same mistake i made.
