It's not Just a Fabric Man, It's a Uniform. A well Respected Uniform.

And i don't think you've read through this thread as Some Guy Quoted the Constitution Discouraging people From Wearing it. so its within the ambience of the Law.

"Na Only Stubborn Fly de Follow Dead Body enter Grave o"

1. It is not the camouflage fabric that makes it a uniform sir.. The Nigerian Army has the following colours as Uniforms;

- Black.. (Special forces combat gear for Night operations)
- Green
- Green Camouflage (For operations in vegetated areas)
- Brown Camouflage (For operations in Dessert areas)
- Black & White Camouflage (For ops in ice areas)
- Blue & White Camouflage (For ops in ice areas)
e.t.c

If it was just the camouflage that makes it a Uniform, a person tying a camouflage fabric as wrapper and wearing white blouse should be arrested. it would also be an offence to wear Green Khakis (Nigerian Army/Man-O-War), White on White (Navy), Blue on Blue (Airforce/NSCDC), e.t.c..

Camouflage is just a material. What makes it a uniform are the attachments on it. The rank, the Stars, the Name tag, The NIGERIAN ARMY CREST, the belt, the custom Nigerian Army spec buttons, e.t.c... angry

2. It is an offence to impersonate an officer. UNDENIABLE.. However, let me take you up on the constitution quoted by our esteeemed fellow;

109. Any person who, not being a person serving in the armed forces of Nigeria nor a member of the police forces, and with intent that he may be taken to be such a person or member as aforesaid-

(a) wears any part of the uniform of, or

(b) wears any garb resembling any part of the uniform of, a person serving in the armed forces of Nigeria, or a member of the police forces,

is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for one year.

110. Any person who- Unlawfully wearing the uniform of forces, etc. L.N. 112 of 1964. 1967 No. 27.

(1) not being a person serving in any of the armed forces of Nigeria, wears the uniform or any part of the uniform of such forces, or any the armed dress having the appearance or bearing any of the regimental or other distinctive marks of such uniforms; or

(2) not being a person holding any office or authority under the Government of Nigeria or of any part thereof, wears any uniform or distinctive badge or mark or carries any token calculated to convey the impression that such person holds any office or authority under the government;

is guilty of an offence and is liable to imprisonment for one month, or to a fine of ten naira, unless he proves that he had the permission of the President or of the Governor of a State or wear such uniform or dress, badge or mark or to carry such token:

Provided that this section shall not apply to the wearing of any uniform or dress in the course of a stage play or in any bona fide public entertainment.

By this constitutional lprovision, it therefore makes it an offence to wear certain shades/tints of the following colours of clothings;

- Black Shirt & trousers
- All colours of Camouflage
- White and White
- Blue on Blue
- Green

And any colour of fabric worn by the military.. If so, why then are people wearing black trousers not being harassed?! That could easily be the uniform of the Nigerian Police..

3. If nobody pushes for a change, then you cant expect change.. NOTE:: Camouflage comes in different colours, shapes and patterns.. The Nigerian army has a particular design of Camouflage as there uniform.

According to Wikipedia, the Nigerian Army Camouflage spec is; the "US Woodland" parttern..

Heres the link Camo patterns by country

So technically, not all camouflage are Nigerian Army spec..

The arguement of the Nigerian Army being violent fucktards is one thing. but that shouldnt take away anything from the truth of the matter..

A Yoruba man would rather manufacture his own brand, with its standard unlike an Igbo man that would "manufacture" a substandard on an existing commodity to deceive those that are not observant.

Oga, You just de talk plenty. Law or No law, the Military Detest Civilians Who Wear Camouflage. Its Sign of Respect and Pride to them Nothing Else. Seems You haven't been drilled by them before.

Op was even Lucky, Mine was that i wore an Ordinary Camo School bag and This Guy really Dealt with me.

Be Cautions with them For Prevention would always Be Cheaper than Cure!

1. The Camouflage fabric is not a symbol of Military Pride.. I dont know who told you that nonsense.

2. The Military is still subject to the Law.

3. I have been drilled by both the Army & Navy on separate occasions.
The worst that can happen is that you will be assaulted. Ehen!!!! So when they are done assaulting you, you can nicely proceed to report the matter to their authority. Its either we make it a law or then they stop harassing people..

4. Prevention is indeed better than cure.. If we dont prevent this harassment from happening, then we can never cure it.

WEARING CAMOUFLAGE IS NOT ILLEGAL IN NIGERIA.. Soon, the Police would start arresting people for wearing Black and Black, NSCDC would arrest people for wearing Blue and Blue, e.t.c..

But why would you indoctrinate this small boy to try and kill himself? His dead body may never be found.

Oya pikin, go and remove any other camo in your house and stay far away from it, it can endanger your life permanently

And thats why we are screwed in this country..

Oga mi.. No vex sir. I no know say na offence. I no wear anything under. Abeg Arrest me carry me go station

Then you kneel down, hands-up and lock your hands behind your head in surrender. Make sure you are in public view. If you can shout to somebody to call your people that you have been arrested for wearing Camo and that the officers are taking you to the station so they should come and get you out.

Me I no go strip one day for nobody.. The last guys wey do me that thing succeed because we were still under military rule (Abacha era).. Now na lie..

I use the same method for Policemen.. I once told a Policeman to arrest me and take me to the station because he accused me of nothaving 'Road Worthiness' on a car that was not up to 1 year old. I simply picked my Phone, called my peoples in front of him, left instructions and told them I am handing in myself for arrest and they should come to XYZ Police station to bail me. The Police man was shocked. He too became scared..

Thats how I walked to their oga and told him my position o! The guy said I should go...

You are wicked

How?!

All I suggested was that he ask the officer to arrest him.. Whats wicked in that?!

Arrest me and lets follow due process.. If its a crime, arrest me. But I will not strip for anybody. Thats tantamount to extra-judial sentencing and that is also illegal.

I would like to know what you would be charged for.. Impersonating an Officer would be my best guess, but: For you to impersonate an officer, you would have everything that a Nigerian Army Uniform has which includes but not limited to;

1. Rank
2. Name Tag (Nigerian Military style)
3. Nigerian Army Crest/Logo
4. Military Pins (those multi-colored tags)
5. Nigerian Army flag
6. Nigerian Flag
e.t.c..

Soooooooo!!! Why did you say I am wicked?!

This is my advice to Nigerians who feel like they are being exploited/Harassed.. Demand that you be arrested and charged to court. angry

Army Officers prey on your fears.. Same for Policemen. Thats why corp members are afraid of the Army in Camp, not knowing that the Army is not authorised to hit or beat any Corp member.

Elliotwiz1: it can't be the pilot, the plane was a small plane and the door would be on the side, the man must have intentionally opened it and walked through it, if the door was at the back then the case would have been different, and you can't say the pilot struggled with him because he would possible be on him control pads, It's definitely not the pilot, blame the mami water that was calling him to enter the water! cheesy

Whats stops the Pilot from arming the Auto pilot, grabbing the passenger and pushing him out of the plane.. Then walks to the front and makes the mayday call.

Family / Re: Telling The Truth: Can It Hurt Relationships? by MrAboki: 5:37pm On Nov 15, 2013
Its a really tricky question...

Somethings are best left buried deep down. #Fact!

However, some buried secrets do have a crazy way of resurfacing..

My advice:: I always advice that people tell the truth and darn the consequences.. When you bury the truth, all you have done is postponed a problem that you could have dealt with today.

Now!! Imagine a Man/woman who goes to his/her wife/husband and confesses infidelity... Its bad!! True.
So.. Imagine the Man/woman discovers the infidelity of a partner on his/her own.. This is definitely worse.

Reason being that the former carries an element of regret/remorse, the other doesnt.

NOW!! The down side to tellin the truth is that some partners would forever use it as a weapon against their other half.. Thats where the real problem lies.

SO OP!! There is no yes or no answer.. Just a right and wrong! Right being tell the truth..

jfxt: lets be realistic here. Obiano will be the next Governor of Anambra State as far as Nigeria way of election is concern. but come to think of it, from my own point of view Ifeanyi has all it takes to develop the state but his debts and arrogance will never allow him to get there. On the other side Ngige is the only person without Godfather from the state and thats what Anambra needs to move forward but he has already toured so much with the king-makers of the state. So as am seeing it,the battle will surely be hot tomorrow.

Same Ifeanyi wey no get one thing for Anambra as investment abi?!

SeanT10: these women are so arrogant. @ opt, if u ever met one, u wont b asking this question. A few of them that get married dont have respect for their husbands anymore. imagine the man bathing the children in d morning [the wife came back home late cos of a meeting ], the husband having to go pickup the children from school because she cant make it.
If u ever date a single successful woman, u are in soup. nothing matters to her if not her success. u will have to write application before u kiss her. should u attempt kissing her without her approval, u go her grammar die. the day u want the koko, oboi u will buy roses, burn candles nd play music throughout the night. if by chance she gets an Email from d office during that period, all u labour for goes for nothing cos she needs to work.
My dear friend, there is no place for marriage in their lives.

How old are you?!

My father bathed all 5 of us in the morning, everyday, from nursery school till we were old enough to bath ourselves..
#So whats your point?!

Took us to school every morning... Infact, it was once ina blue moon that my mum would drive us to school. Always my dad.

You are talking utter bullcrap.. Its obvious that you are not even old enough to be married.

The rules of marriage is not Master/Slave.. Its a pratnership with one party having just a 1% majority share (Veto power) to swing those decisions that end in a stalemate.

And I am a married man. Married to a HIGHLY successful lawyer with an annual gross income after taxes of 8 digits per annum.. She still cooks all my food (despite us working almost equal hours), picks out my clothes, takes care of our homes and fulfills her duties to me as a wife.

The bad ones are not the ones we are talking about here.. But if you expect a woman who has worked and toiled hard all of her life to attain great heights to throw it all away and reduce herself to fit into your life and massage your ego, then you are a joker. Real men would rather hussle to be bigger than their wives, rather than cut her down.

#No be quarrel o!! I'm just saying the ugly truth that we men shy away from.
