Ok so timbo and scott storch are on the same level abi for the musical literate person. Pls don't argue about that. Scott Storch is good and he's successful and all that ooo but not on the same level. How many artistes has timbo been responsible for launching their careers or even comebacks. I'm not saying Scott Storch can't be on that level but for now pls lets just give this to timbo. Even Kanye West says he prefers timbo (I guess Mr. West too is a musical illiterate)

Don't mind all the faze fans it lyrics like "O girl u too fly like butterfly" that they think is talent. That line is so freaking laughable and ridiculous. I was listening to that song with a friend that just heard it for the first time and she just burst into laughter. Funny enough I was trying to make a mix cd for her so I decided to include some faze songs. The only one she left on the list b4 burning the cd was "Kolomental". Seriously though, faze is so unpopular over here its not funny. Talk about faze and people are like "who?", then u know have to start explaining he was in the same group with 2face. In fact I can confidently say that even D'banj's songs are more popular over here than faze (at least my Kenyan friend can sing "why me". Lets really stop comparing these two, both artist are good in their own right but its still too early to compare them. Let faze's money and popularity and talent grow up a bit then we'll start.

Just to let some faze fans know b4 they start arguing about faze's popularity. When naija concerts are organized around here, I find sponsors for them, last year it was 2face, this yr its d'banj, no one is talking about faze. why do u think that is? Ppl want to make money from the artistes they bring in. I know ppl that are traveling from other states to come watch D'banj, the buzz is there. Believe me, no one would be moved if it was faze. Now if faze is that talented and his music is not that well known, how can we explain that? I think some of his fans should just get off the keyboard and go help promote him anyway you can. Concerts, album sales, buzz is essential to any artiste's success. We can sit here and argue all day, all I know is faze has to do more, tho' I can tell you exactly what he has to do.

thats a difficult comparison. Both guys have really contributed and changed the face of hip hop in a huge way. Dr Dre for his beats and production, providing mega hits for legends like tupac and Diddy for showing everyone else the business side of hip hop, he's almost responsible for making hip hop artist break into the corporate world. I think people like to undermine diddy's accomplishments and influence just think back a bit and u would know what I'm talking about. If diddy starts selling his companies, which I too hope he doesn't, he would blow all of 'em out of the water. So Sean John as a whole is definitely worth a lot

What u guys don't understand about me is I don't belong to a "2face Camp". I'm a very unfaithful fan, I strictly judge by what I hear. If faze comes out with something substantial and better than 2face then I'll agree the guy is good but for now 2face still leads the pack refer back to his achievements. Its funny how faze fans like to put 2face down by saying his awards were dishonest or so. If his connections got him there, does that not mean his management team is doing something right? Do you know y tuface is great? Everyone compares other artists to him. This poll doesn't matter, people love to support the underdog, yes the underdog. This should not cause people to start unnecessary threads to start comparing faze to other artists but people tend to compare other people to the best and not second best, third best or in faze's case somewhere along the line. Faze can't be mentioned anywhere without trying to compare him to tuface. Thats because tuface is the star. On the other hand, tuface can be mentioned times without number and faze's name won't even come up. Just check the threads in this forum and see what I'm talking about. Tuface has been compared to almost every successful African/International artist out there. I think I should let everyone know that the award 2face got is not an MTV BASE award. Because some people think that because MTV BASE came to Africa, they decided to create an award. No!
The award was from MTV europe. That year, 2 main artistes ie 2face and Keisha had created such a great impact in the European music scene that a category was made to award one of them. The reason for a best African Act Award at the MTV europe award today is because of the outstanding performances of 2face and Keisha during this generation.
