Assalamu alaikum, Anas b. Malik reported: " I took 'Abdullah b. Abi Talha Ansari to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) at the time of his birth. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was at that time wearing a woollen cloak and besmearing the camels with tar. He said: Have you got with you the dates? I said: Yes. He took hold of the dates and put them in his mouth and softened them, then opened the mouth of the infant and put that in it and the child began to lick it. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The Ansar have a liking for the dates, and he (the Holy Prophet) gave him the name of 'Abdullah." Muslim :: Book 25 : Hadith 5340 |
Jarus:Thanks |
Important Note: I don't welcome anyone derailing this thread. I purposely initiated it to publicly debunk and refute non-Muslims', Nezan's, in particular always claim of "Satanic" verses in the guarded Qur'an. I so consistently challenged him to open a fresh thread but refused to before I then decided to open this. And thanks to the Lord of the universe I have so far achieved that, for non among them can come up with anything to establish that earlier false claim. They hurriedly went from this site to that looking for any peck of "evidence" to do that but. . . Hope fair-minded readers have already fathomed that. You can as well start another fresh one concerning the originality or otherwise of the prophet Muhammad, may Allah exalt his mention. We'll engage you there. Understand? Thanks |
@WildOne, You really are wild. What do you think that--your action of naming dog after our prophet and/or our Creator, will add you? That, alone, marks you truly mad, thoughtless. Name it whatsoever, for I certainly know will neither do you any good nor bad; and same to me or any Muslim. And to tell you: things of that sort have been doing since time immemorial. Yours is nothing new. But what does it change? Nothing, for it can't do anything. Keep it up! May Allah, the Exalted, guide us to the right path, amen. |
noetic2:What are you ranting about? ![]() |
May Allah, the Exalted, bless you brothers and sisters. |
Abuzola:Keep your phone with you, Brother. As I say on another thread, I'll have a second thought on the action. Thanks |
Hmm. Brother Abuzola. I'll reconsider my intention. Thanks. |
Assalamu alaikum, Wish you brothers and sisters had a momentous time together. Salam. |
Assalamu alaikum, Brother Jarus, I am thinking of quiting this site due to some personal reasons. But before I do that, I would like to see some of my threads here get place in the childboard's liberary index. You may search for these threads and judge there appropriateness or otherwise in your liberary. Hope to see your response ASAP. Thanks |
If I were you,I would abandon this topic lest more revelatons be made. Mohammed also attempted suicide several times proving his mental state A suicidal man is usually one suffering from a major depression, he hears voices, sees things ,senses and behold thinks no one can. That is classic schizophrenia. In that state he was capable of anything. do you need the hadiths to prove the above claim?
Or instead advise your cohort, Nezan, who fisrt of all triggered the OP to leave it, for he fails to build up his earlier assertuion of the existence of "Satanic" verses. I only ask him (and you or any body who thinks "Satanic" verses exist) simple five question, yet none of you so far has a try of them. Isn't that shamefull? I know you sometimes feel like telling truth, wish my question hits jackpot; and thus you are gonna answer it justly. ![]() |
If Allah's prophet could be bewitched several times and he was under the influence of a demon/demons for a period which the Muslim writings say could be up to 12 months, what other evidence do you need? Or do you have any proof that Allah suspended his revelations while Mohammed was under the influence of the demons ? It is a fact that Mohammed was bewitched such that he didn't have control of his proper senses for a while,he hallucinated and imagined things that were not real. It is therefore not a far fetched idea that Tabari's hadiths are probably correct regarding the satanic verses which you deny. Was Mohammed ever under the influence of demons? Yes!,according to aisha and several people as recorded by Bukhari's hadiths. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: Magic was worked on Allah’s Apostle (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) so that he used to think that he had had sexual relations with his wives while he actually had not. Then one day he said, "O Aisha, do you know that Allah has instructed me concerning the matter I asked Him about? Two men came to me and one of them sat near my head and the other sat near my feet. The one near my head asked the other: ‘What is wrong with this man?’ The latter replied, ‘He is under the effect of magic.’ The first one asked, ‘Who has worked magic on him?’ The other replied, ‘Labid bin Al-Asam, a man from Bani Zuraiq who was an ally of the Jews and was a hypocrite.’ The first one asked, ‘What material did he use?’ The other replied, ‘A comb and the hair stuck to it.’"[14] Ibn Ishaq also reports that "Labid bin A’sam . . . bewitched the apostle of God so that he could not come at his wives."[15] Guillaume adds a note saying that, according to tradition, "the spell lasted for a year."[16] what other proof do you need?
Funny. Let me tell you something: even the site you folks heavenly depend upon whenever it comes to defaming Islam does not include this hadeeth to support your false claim of "Satanic" verses in the Qur'an. Bewitched and tempted by Satan are two different things. Although I don't expect you to see that difference, for it's wisely said; a mind sees what it wishes to see. |
skyone:Hey man, I don't appreciate name callings. Cut that off if you wanna continue this with me (and even us). Get it? |
Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem. Simply take it: celebrating birthdays is a bidi'a. What then is bidi'ah? The word Bid'ah in Arabic is taken from ‘Al-Bada', that is to create something without precedence. Allah says in the Qur'aan, which translated means: “Badei' (the Originator) of the heavens and the earth.” (2: 117) This means that Allah created the heavens and the earth without precedence. He also said: “Say (O Muhammad (sallallhu alahi wa-sallam): I am not Bid'an (a new thing) among the Messengers.” (46: 9) This means: 'I am not the first of Allah's Prophets to His slaves, many (Prophets) preceded me.’ When it is said that a person has performed a Bid'ah, this means that he has innovated a new thing without precedence. Bid'ahs in the matters of life, like the new scientific inventions are permissible because originally, what is a matter of life or habit is permissible. The prohibited Bid'ah is to innovate in the religion. This is because the religion is 'Tawqifiyah' which means that religion can only be revealed by Allah and He has completely revealed His religion. Consequently, there is no room for any innovation. As will be manifest and clear from the context of celebrating birthdays. In short, its undoubtedly an act of imitating the kuffar (i.e. pagans, as shown any historical fact). And an authentic Hadeeth strongly denounces such practices. Abu Waqid Al-Laithi (r.a) said: “We were still new Muslims when we went to the battle of Hunain with the Prophet (sallallhu alahi wa-sallam). We found that the Mushrikeen had a tree, called ‘That Anwar’, which they revered and on which they hanged their weapons on. When we passed by a similar Sidrah we said: “O Messenger of Allah (sallallhu alahi wa-sallam), make for us ‘That Anwar’ as they have, Prophet (sallallahu alahi wa-sallam) said: “Allahu Akbar! It is the Sunnan (traditions of the Mushrikeen). You said by He Who has my soul in His Hand, what the children of Israel said to Moses: “Make for us gods as they have gods. He said: 'Verily! You are a people who know not.” [7:138] and he (sallallahu alahi wa-sallam) said: You will follow the traditions of those before you (Jews and Christians)” [at-Tirmidhee] In this hadeeth, we find that imitating the Kuffar (non-believers) is what drove Jews (before them), and some of the companions (radhi allahu anhu), to ask for this ugly matter. They wanted gods to worship and revere other than Allah. This is the case with the majority of Muslims today, imitating the disbelievers, which is an opening to ruthless Bid'ahs in Islam. We can therefore draw a simple conclusion that Abuzola's assertion is apt and right. and regarding Eid-Maulud and declaration of public holiday in Nigeria; you know the heterogeneity of the country, not doing so could cause bitter complains from some Muslims who do it. But that balances the equation. Period! And Allah, the Exalted, knows best |
skyone:You are probably a newbie. But your seniors have had been asking for that. And these verses have had been duly explained to them Go search the archive. Lets progress oya! Waiting. . . |
skyone:Although you are the author of the OP, I would like to re-direct you not to derail it. Simply answer the question I posed to you; nothing more nothing less. And if thats what you wanna discuss, open a fresh thread. Will engage you there. Understand? Thanks |

Barka da Jumu'ah. |
Assalamu alaikum, Hudhaifa b. Usaid Ghifari reported: "Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly." Muslim :: Book 41 : Hadith 6931 |
I too respect Horus input. But I wonder if that unity amongst blacks can ever be achieved. |
