Life does not end in Lagos. Thank God there's Abuja, PH, Kano, Owerri, Enugu. Infact, there's even Ghana and other w/African countries. If Lagos and by extension, Nigeria's policy doesn't favour us, we move! |

Oga...we that are in corporate travel companies have not been paid and may/will not be paid till work fully resumes. We were sent on Compulsory Leave without Pay....till the lockdown would necessitate a recall. If there's any labour law against this practice, a willing lawyer should weigh the matter and teach out to me. |
They just came to strong arm other competitors. Their business model is also skewed...cos their profits can only start coming in after at least 3yrs in stable business. At least local dispatch riders go fit compete well now. #HomeDel Logistics Twitter: @homedelng Facebook: Homedel Ng www.homedel-courier-service.business-site |
FOLLOW UP: I've stopped taking weed since 1st of June...and through out this week, I've been having bouts of trauma/hypnosis whenever I shut my eyes to sleep. Same thing happened to me for bout a month after I stopped taking Tramadol 2yrs ago. However, I'm not troubled by these experiences cos I'm already used to it and I know it will fade out after a while...2months tops. I'm more concerned bout my temperaments. I get easily irritated these days and also effing hungry...and this is the worst time to be hungry. I have food stuff at home but since we don't know when the interstate lockdown is ending and work resuming, I don't want to exhaust my foodstuffs before then. Tonight, I'll go use my last 5H to buy weed...to augment my feeding. I don't want to resort to begging. #LegalizeWeed |
Ogonimilitant:Since you belong to Biafran land, are you not an immigrant in Nigeria? Go back to your Isreal and stop claiming stakes in Nigeria. Oko-oko! |
GraGra247:Would you say the same bout other foreign countries that have legalized weed? Jamaica, Canada et al. And Tramadol is still a counter drug in most West African countries. Control is the only reason TM and codeine cough syrup were banned. |

It is high time some respectable members of the society came out to debate in defence of the use of Marijuana and Tramadol. I believe there are morally upright people in the society who use these drugs as antidepressants. Not everyone smokes, gets high and start misbehaving. It's on record that most musicians from all genre take marijuana either to boost their inspiration or to ease the pressures of limelight. Politicians are also known to be in this box. Are there other affordable antidepressants that can be gotten from the counter? My personal experience... Sometime 2yrs ago, when I just started working, at a point, I had to use Tramadol to sustain myself till the month's end. I had used the greater part of my salary to buy some essential household needs. Tramadol is known to reduce hunger. With 100mg of TM per day, one can survive on just one meal per day. I usually took it immediately after breakfast and I don't eat anything else till 7-8pm. I lived on N400 daily for 20days...thanks to TM. Even during my NYSC, it helped me stand and teach through all the class load that a typical private secondary school throws on corps members. It also helped me endure body aching long distance interstate day and night trips. Furthermore, for these past two months of joblessness and pennilessness due to lockdown, I've been using marijuana to both keep my sanity and cut feeding cost. Contrary to popular opinion, weed doesn't make everyone hungry. I take it after breakfast and I don't get pangs of hunger till evening. However, possession of marijuana is illegal on Nigeria, with a jail time of 14yrs max. Tramadol production has been banned in Nigeria due to distribution control abuse. I don't see myself as an addict. I have at some point consumed up to 700mg of TM in a day(this happened once, usually the body naturally craves for more)...but as soon as it became expensive, I stopped taking it. 6months afterwards, I discovered weed could substitute rightly; so I adopted weed. I am a respectable member of my community. I have a good job in which I'm at the lower management cadre. I pray and attend church dedicatedly. I do not smoke outside my apartment. I do not constitute nuisance in any form. A bad person is a bad person. The use makes no significant difference. Conclusively, there are people who use Tramadol and marijuana responsibly. These substances are legal in other countries because they are good in themselves, and there is controlled dispensation. Instead of throwing the baby away with the bathing water, NAFDAC should do their due diligence. Post covid-19 would bring with it so many mental depression, not just economic. People have lost jobs and means of income, more will follow. Post covid-19 economy would require skills upgrade and mental shift to adapt to the new change that has befallen us. In the light of this, let our nation be ready for either increased number of suicides or robbery...or just supply us with legal antidepressant drugs. I rest my case.

RIP Mallam Abba Kyari. Funeral arrangement bawò? Covid-19 deceased is not released to the family na. His remains might generate another spiral of infection/virus. |
Rapmoney:I paid my houserent in december 19, just came out of January spending, February Valentine spending and I'm still expecting my March salary by 1st week of April...which is yet to be paid. You see how broke one can find himself even with the big 50k. |
BafanaBafana:A pleader, one who pleads. To plead...to beg,...
|
BafanaBafana:Hope you know that "pleading for assistance" is same thing as begging...just terminological difference. He who has no sin, cast the first stone. |
This corona period has shown that people can genuinely be in need, esp 50k working class like us. E no easy ooo. |
What do yhu mean by Nigerians LIKE begging ![]() Does anyone like begging? Is begging a likable trait? People beg for assistance when they can't meet their needs. Nobody is robbing you...they are only asking for assistance...just taking their chances on you. Quit with the holier than thou attitude. Given, it seems embarrassing to always flood people's timeline with begging...those posts should be controlled but please don't look down on anyone for begging. It's not a thing of pleasure. |
Commonsense99:I even doubt if I will continue going to church after this their jonsing esp miracle centred churches. They should stop bragging with miracles as if its by their authority. Even Pastor Chris's Healing school is on lockdown. He has now resorted to global prayer. This one don pass all those him braggadocio miracles. God is trying to correct Christianity and put the real things in perspective. |
yomi007k:Joel Osteen has the biggest assembly in America; Lt Dr Miles Monroe had the biggest assembly in the Bahamas, Matthew Ashimolowo of KICC has the largest black assembly on the UK; Vatican city of Italy has the largest Christian gathering in the world. India and China has over 1 billion Hindu/Buddha worshipers, Mecca has a daily assembly of millions of Islam worshippers. So tell me again, how religion thrives only in black continent ![]() |
kingxsamz:Good eye...God actually saved Noah's family and any one who would have hearkened to Noah's teaching...but no one did except his immediate family. Like the subject reads, God may not use pastors as we keep pressuring them to perform. The ways of God are beyond ours. We must give room for other methods that God uses to save the world. Don't condemn our pastors...they are just vessels that move according to the power at work in them. |
So why do we expect God to use ONLY pastors to heal the world of this corona virus pandemic; when we know He has in time past, worked with skilled men to save their world. In time past, God have always used skilled men to solve the world's problems. Abraham, our father of faith, was a great warrior. After his victory in BATTLE, he came back to thank God, paying obeisance to God through Melchizedek. When God wanted to save the world during the flood, he used Noah- to BUILD an ark. David killed Goliath with a SLING, which he was skilled at using. He went further to slay enemy kings, possessed territories via warfare of swords, spears and arrows. Daniel the minister was reputed for his exceeding wisdom. Through his COUNSEL, Isreal was preserved. In rebuilding the land of Isreal, God used skilled men who were filled with the spirit, who understood times and season. Moses's hands were lifted up in the battlefield while skilled men FOUGHT their way to victory. Joshua led a courageous army of 300 to victory but they had to engage in battle to win. Even Esther and Mordecai needed the King's RULING/PRONOUNCEMENT to save their people. God also used Joseph the prime minister to save Isreal. In battle, God uses the army; in governance, He uses those in political office... In the new testament, where God's aim was to gather men to Himself in spirit and in truth, He used MEN OF LETTERS to pen His divine inspirations... Paul, peter, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James... He didn't miraculously force people to repent. In getting men to be born again, God uses men to liberate man unto Himself. In blessing, God has said that He would bless the WORKS of our hands; He doesn't rain down manna anymore. Isaac, Esau, Jacob, David, Solomon...all walked in prosperity through the yield of their labour. Ofcourse there's been times also, when God has miraculously saved mankind- Moses and the Exodus, Elijah, even the disciples and apostles wrought miracles. And those times are not over. It still happens till tomorrow. However, He has raised men of skill in various professions to dominate the world with their gifting. We have come to realize that it is by God that all things consist- all inventions, all knowledge, all possibilities. I remember that we mocked Lt.Gen Tukur Burutai and the Nigerian army when they organized a Prayer crusade against terrorism in Nigeria. We expected human warfare to be fought with instruments of warfare, not prayer. So how come we are now expecting God to miraculously work wonders through our pastors to heal the world of this pandemic when we have medical practioners for that?! As He has oftentimes done, God will use doctors, scientists skilled in the medical field to win this battle. Science and technology- internet, telecom, medicine, machines...have all been used to the glory of God. God have always used man and the instruments of man to save man. Do not lose faith. Do not denigrate Christianity. God has not changed. He has men with medical skill that will find solution to this covid-19 pandemic. God bless our medical practioners and proactive governments. God is still the same yesterday, today and forever. Be of good cheer!

SHOPPERS:Have you heard of Gregor Mendel's theory of leadership management? or Carrot and stick approach ![]() Different strokes for different folks. |
Why take all...he should have taken them in levels/grade. It would make those in the lower cadre aspire to something and put in more productivity. Anybody can be a staff based on recruitment process but not everyone can grow in the organizational ladder. It's a great treat tho...buh I'd rather reserve it for functional heads...as a motivation to them and an inspiration to those on the lower rung of the ladder. |
Neoteny:Some genre have more fan base in a particular gender demography. It would be wise to choose a gender that represents the higher fan base of the genre. |
