RomanceRe: Why Does NYSC 'Kill' Relationships? by mylove4him(f): 5:09pm On Apr 06, 2010
I quite agree with the poster but to every rule there is an exception. I neva dated anybody during my service year, I won't say the temptation was not there. It was but I made sure I tell my fiance every man coming my way. That was how I overcame it. I was posted to a village school, we were 2 girls 2 boys. my flatmate had already had a boyfriend from camp so she virtually goes to the guys house on thur n comes back on mon morning. "Loneliness wan kill me", especially when one of the guys won't let me be. Always coming to my room, I had to devise a means by always locking my door when it is night n pretend to be sleeping.

When he did not give up I packed my things to town to stay with my town girl I met in the camp, I usually took bike to teach everyday except my CD days. When I look back, I am grateful to God I didn't mess up. My fiance and I are still together.

CareerRe: Bad Experiences You Encounter Within Your Office. by mylove4him(f): 3:17pm On Apr 02, 2010
My experiences are numerous ranging from illiterate n uneducated colleagues to a new boss that does not know anything about the job.

My boss runs an autocratic government his word is law n I know he does not like me one bit. Why? I am bold, confident and intelligient. So he sees me as arrogant and disrespectful person. I don't give a damn about him, if he abuses me I talk back at him. He is so arrogant that I am prepard for the worst, highest is "U R FIRED". I told him one day that respect is reciprocal that he has to earn my respect. He goes out of his way to find fault in my work in which I tell him if he is not OK he should do it himself. He does not listen to anybody not even the suggestion of my immediate boss that has spent 25yrs n he had only spent 6 months. he sees his skin colour as superior to us. He knows me that I don't give a damn about him.

To my uneducated colleagues just because I am educated they don't want me to grow in the job. they would tell u that ur "pali" does not matter but experience. These ones m talking abt r men n am the only female in the dept. Do u know what keeps me going I don't give a damn, I can't date anybody n if u mistakenly make silly comment abt me i warn u to desist. If u don't, I blacklist u. This is the only way u can survive in our male dominated environment. I tell u men are the real gossips here.

FamilyRe: My Marriage Is Crashing Please Help by mylove4him(f): 2:35pm On Mar 31, 2010
I am happy to b associated with this forum. I have learnt a lot and we have some people that are so gifted in counselling. I appreciate them a lot.

To Damysa, I am happy for u that there is improvement, remember if u are happy in ur marriage u can achieve the impossible. Men like to be pamperd like babies, so treat him like one. Shower him with attention and listen to him even when it is not convenient. Analytica has said it all. I wish you all the best, remember to call us for celebration n also naming of ur son to be cos i am foreseeing that soon. Be happy.

FamilyRe: Plz Help: by mylove4him(op): 8:24am On Mar 30, 2010
@ hotstepper my girlfriend is from Anambra but the guy is from Delta (Ijaw by tribe). He graduated from ABSU n he speaks Igbo very well. So the question of communication is ruled out, so what is their fuse?
FamilyPlz Help: by mylove4him(op): 12:32pm On Mar 29, 2010
My girlfriend and work colleague is in real trouble. She has been dating this guy for the past seven years, but her sisters and her parents are not in support of this relationship. Why? because the guy is from a different tribe from hers. The sisters are instigating the parents against her, just yesterday night, the father sent a message to her that if she knows what is good for her she should leave that guy or she should not bother about bringing him home. The parents know the guy as a friend but they didn't know it is a serious relationship until few yrs ago.

This crises had always been like this for the past years, sometimes she will tell the guy she is no more interested but inside her she will be bleeding. The guy would come begging n they will make up. Now she has told me she can not leave the guy n she does not know how to handle the sisters n her parents. One of her sis is married, another one about to marry in May n the last one is younger than she is. They all tell her the guy is good for boyfriend n not for marriage, because they are from diff tribe. That is all their excuse. She is confuse n me neither do I know what to do. So am posting this to my fellow nairalanders. Plz genuine advice needed. Thank you.
FamilyRe: My Girlfriend Mum Indirectly Called Me A 419 by mylove4him(f): 10:03am On Mar 26, 2010
plz let us know what was their reply, we are waiting. Moreover good riddance to bad rubbish. A wife or wife to be should always side her husband no matter what. but she has proved otherwise. It is a big lesson to u prepare 4 worst days of family interference when u marry her. I cant imagine behaving like that to my fiance of 4 years because my mum said he supposely duped her. I would simply call her bluff. What a pity and more over how old is she? behaves like mum's pet.
FamilyRe: Pls Help Me: My Marriage Is In Shambles! by mylove4him(f): 8:18am On Mar 26, 2010
Go out there and earn a living that is the only way you will earn respect from your husband. It will also take your time from picking on every little things he does.

RomanceRe: Is There A Crime In This? by mylove4him(f): 3:34pm On Mar 16, 2010
If u can't trust her enough to cook for u then why date her. i know some guys way back my service year that won't allow women cook for them because of fear of unknown. A man can die in different ways, remember that there are so many ways to kill a rat. Utapiapia, gum, indocid, etc. so my dear be careful.

RomanceRe: Topic: 10 Men To Avoid Dating by mylove4him(f): 10:03am On Mar 12, 2010
My dearest female nairalanders a man is either in one category or another category. To say ur man is free of all is a lie. Pick one u can tolerate but make sure he does not possess all of them, that would be disastrous. All the same remember the power to be happy lies in your hands and not a man's own hands. So be careful, watchful and prayerful. Kaskia:
RomanceRe: Is It Good To Be A Jealous Lover? by mylove4him(f): 9:55am On Mar 12, 2010
It is good to be jealous but being posssessive is bad. Jealousy says u care about the person. Everyone that said they are not jealous are not being truthful n it means they are not in love or they are cheating on their partner.
Possessive is bad and please don't confuse it with jealousy. Beware of partners that wants to know every move of yours at all times, partners that wants to talk to the conductor to be sure u are in the right bus, those who wants to talk to ur mother every moment whenever u told him/her u are visiting mum. All these stem from insecurity and possessiveness.
My case was that bad my ex wanted to know who flashes me even when the no. is unknown, why I left school by 1.00pm and by 1.30pm I have not gotten home when the distance is 10mins. Why I am having my night bath by 10pm and not 7pm, that means I am just coming from a man's house. I shouldn't hug any other man, I shouldn't call guys from my tribe bros because they are potential toasters, guys shouldn't visit me even if they were course mates and so on and so forth. so numerous to mention and the end he was the one that cheated and I left him for good. Quest what? I am happier and fatter than when I was with him. Looking back I realise I was in bondage. So don't ever confuse possessiveness with jealousy.
RomanceRe: Am I Over Reacting? by mylove4him(f): 3:51pm On Mar 11, 2010
My dear u are not overreacting. I believe ur woman is seeing some man. When a woman is cheating, one, ur presence will begin to irritate her, two, love making won't be appealling anymore and three she would always want to be on her own thereby giving excuses why she can't see you. All the traits ur woman is showing means that she has seen a man that has swept her off her feet. It is painful though but give her time, make friends with some other girls, call them and let them call u back. Discuss freely with them and do it even when she is around. If she genuinely cares she will feel threaten but if her mind is made up, she go bone ur side. Don't try to pressurize her to stay, like one poster wrote and I quote "when a woman mind is made up u cant beg her to stay" it is true. When I left my overbearing and possessive ex he cried, begged, cajoled but my mind was made up. Women are weak in body but not emotions. Face your life and move on. When the same ex was sleeping with his neighbour n taking me to be a fool. You know the consequences I had a GP lower than 2.0 in 400L but thank God I picked up the pieces of my life and made good grades in my final yr plus plus what I had in previous years. Emotional turbulence is not good, it affects ur output at work and with every other person. So my guy run and don't look back.
FamilyRe: Best Way To Maintain Your Marriage? by mylove4him(f): 4:52pm On Mar 08, 2010
Communication, understanding, patience and tolerance is the key. Learn to work on what he or she is complaining of. Trust him or her cos this is one of the key to healthy marriage. Do not dwell so much on each others weaknesses, learn to accept what you can not change. Do not listen to gossips and home brekers, they mean no good. As a woman submit, respect and reverence ur husband. Submission is the major key, do not talk back at him, do not hiss or interrupts when he is talking, respects his family members and his friends. Do not keep secret from each other. For husbands, love your wife and know how to care and pamper a woman. Women are very soft in nature, a little sorry will do the magic or a little gift is more than enough. Also men don't be too egoistic listen to your wife advice, women instints work better. Listening to her does not mean she wants to control you.
PoliticsRe: Confirmed! Yar'adua Still Under Life Support. by mylove4him(f): 10:44am On Feb 26, 2010
It is good for her because she is treating everyone as if the country is in her palms. she is not a good wife she would have told her husband to resign his position before this stage.Health is wealth, when her husband eventually dies she will feel the cold all alone. She thinks that all those FEC members or whatever sycophants are encouraging her would be there for her in future? Power comes with many friends and leave you with no friend.Let her sit up and stop being arrogant even to the Acting President.
FamilyRe: Must A Man Share The Same Bedroom With The Wife? by mylove4him(f): 12:56pm On Feb 25, 2010
It is good and natural for a husband and wife to share room, it breeds intimacy in marriage.Despite that, I will still have my own room to scatter as I want since am on care free side and my fiance is the one that arrange. So I have always told him I would like to have my own room for my things while we share the same bed every night.

RomanceRe: Am Engaged But In Love With Someone Else. by mylove4him(f): 12:41pm On Jul 10, 2009
My dear just disentangle yourself from it, give the necessary feelings to ur husband to be.Think of the good time u ve spent together, gradually u will begin to forget the guy in your office.ve in mind that he does not deserve u or u deserve him.He lied, think about a crashed relationship if ur fiance finds out.I know u don't want to loose ur husband to be.Think about all these things and ve in mind that u will loose both of them.In this case starting afresh will be painful. So baby girl use ur head and not ur heart.

RomanceRe: Is Jealousy Part And Parcel Of Love, I Mean A Requirement Or Is It Insecurity? by mylove4him(f): 3:28pm On Jul 01, 2009
A bit of jealousy is ok but when it turns to possessive plz run away, I once had a guy who almost choke me with different questions ranging from who is flashing u with an unknown number to who is smiling at u on the road. I mean silly things that should be ignored. So my dear run away from a man/woman that is obsessed.U will live the rest of ur life explaining why a colleage should call u after work or why u should smile with that neighbour.
