I used to be very shy. Even at 32, I couldn't toast any lady despite always getting numerous advances and compliments from females back then. I tried to work on myself to overcome it. You need to work on yourself and over come it. Else so many things will pass u by. Although shyness, has it advantages, but I think the disadvantages outweighs the advantages

Is it not fellow Nigerians like you that inflate the bills? As for this rubbish link you posted, I hope your foolishness will make you know that, for a government to make those orders, they will need to contact the manufacturers or their representatives directly for after-sales repair and spares? Even with the inflated bills from people like you, still, you think building a world-class teaching hospital and equipping it, that 35 billion naira is too much?

It's a laudable move,but ₦2.5billion cannot in anyway build a truly best in West Africa cancer centre unless it's just the physical building and aesthetics they mean.

Most people do not know this and that is why when they hear a state wants to spend 35Billion on a teaching hospital, they will say is too expensive.

1st story

I met a waiter at rhapsody in ikeja shopping mall, who regretted leaving Nigeria for dubai, i asked him why? He said he left his stable job to Dubai, got to dubai and was earning 70k, was also living in a shared accommodation with 4 people, after working for 5 months, he resigned and left Dubai for Nigeria.

2nd story

My cousin left his well paid job for Canada, sold his properties in naija and moved to Canada with his family, first 8 month of his life was hell upon earth, from bills to bills, from one low wage job to another, the neighborhood he was living with his family was infested with gangs, the public school was also infected with gangs, his children got bullied because of their accents, his wife, even though supportive couldn't get a good job, bros was tired of everything.

So he decided to solve his problem by moving back, after the scrap they could save in Canada, my guy and his family moved back to Nigeria, they had to start afresh, thank God, he had a supportive family and friends, they use their connections to help him find another good job but what is lost is lost till today he still regrets selling his properties for Canada.

Abroad isn't for everyone. your glory may be in Nigeria, don't join everyone to go suffer in abroad.

Why is it that northerners don't move abroad?

Most of them go for government jobs and stay there to get to the top or join politics. A lot of them are not educated but I have seen some of them abroad as lecturers.

OP: I will say teaching but you have not given many details about it. What if this teaching job entails you working for many classes in the senior secondary level with practicals, I will say don't take it. Both of these poorly paid can be really demanding.

Lucrative alternatives to engineering that arent as competitive are computer science, mathematics and physics. Someone intending to study civil engineering or mechanical engineering in Nigeria should go for physics. There's practically no place a mechanical or civil engineer can work in this world that someone with a degree in physics cant work.

OP: Anyone that wants to study civil engineering in Nigeria can study. In fact, most ministries and Universities don't have enough staff with this background. Civil engineering and E/E are the only viable engineering courses now.

This is why I say read oooo. I don't invest in crypto because I feel is too volatile. However, I follow it because I have friends who invest in it. Shiba inu coin has been in existence mays since last year. At a point, the price went up rapidly and people made much fortune from it. Suddenly all that has crashed.
