What surprises me is that immediately I got the job, my mom started having health challenges.

I have observed it several times in different people.

When they are able to make a breakthrough in life (like getting a good job, graduation, financial breakthroughs),

something bad (like sickness or death) would affect their relatives, either the mom,dad,son, daughter or any close relative.

Study what will make you relevant in 30 years to come globally. You are not getting any younger. The world is evolving. Some courses are becoming Irrelevant by the day and should be scrapped. One day, u will clock 50.

I have been having this thought of quitting my job to learn driving in order to pick up an UBER or BOLT job but the fear of getting a car on hire purchase is always coming as an hindrance.

Please will it be wise to quit to learn driving for purpose of commercial driving job?

Precisely in 2019, I helped my then boss who was transfered to Abuja to get a maid from the south south part of the country, calabar to be precise. She was 18yrs at that time. Later that year, my boss who was nursing a kidney ailment needed transplant urgently. Out of love, this girl opted to help donate one of her kidneys. Personaly I kicked against the idea when she told me, but she was strong-willed. I took the matter to her parents and they threatened to hold me responsible if anything happened to their daughter. After much persuasion from her, her parents gave in reluctantly. We carried out series of tests & she was certified fit to donate. My boss contacted a German hospital that later did the transplant. I work for a para-millitary agency as a cadet A.S.P & i call him My boss because he was heading the command i was first posted to. More details below...

Am surprised at how fast people are talking about a divorce or separation. Guy be man you claim you are, absolve the shocks, since its not a case of promiscuity. This is not enough reason to break a marriage. If you forgive her on this, you will have earned her trust and respect for life. You will have more leverage in the marriage. I married by wife based on the commitment and love she showed right from beginning. She has her faults but materialism is not one of them. I believe materialism beclouds relationships and friendships. When I became broke all my friends and family ran away. I was alone with only my wife and my mother who was in the UK then. Today, I have no friends. I go to my office and just come home to my family.

For three years, I was jobless, penniless and had a new born son. My wife did not start behaving anyhow. She borrowed 100k from her brother and went to Cutonou to be bringing in bedsheets to be selling to friends and family. That sustained us for one year until I was able to get some construction contracts once again. I eternally remain greatful to her and never refuse any financial requests she makes.

Running and providing for a home in modern societies does not lie with one partner only. If you legitimately make your money and not engaged in fraud or corruption, you will know that you need both partners contributing to sustaining the home. I know how much I spend on school fees, bills, medicals, groceries and others every month, and it's still not enough.
And my children are not in university yet. This is why I make sure my wife started a business, so she can also start contributing to the sustaining of the home. My aged mother is with me and I know how much her upkeep and medicals cost me.

I am always afraid of what happens to my family if I become incapacitated, have a financial disaster or even die. What will happen to the wellbeing of my children and my wife.
