I no longer buy satchet water. I use my electric jug to boil 20lrs of water to hold me for the week. I don't use prepaid for now.
Distance to the office is about 20mins, so I decided to buy a bicycle to aid my movement and it has saved me a ton of money and same time exercising everyday.
I buy my milk and choco is rolls, no more refill. My sugar is the local ones they sell per cup.
Planning on getting coal stove to cook beans and other meals that take time to prepare.
My TV screen got broke few weeks ago, now I use my laptop because I can't cough out 80-100k for another smart tv.

Things are so bad, even my neighbour's wife came to ask me for sugar to make pap for her kids cry
I hardly even view people's status on WhatsApp.
This year, I don't think I'm gonna celebrate my Mom's birthday either. When I celebrated mine, I just took only myself out.

Your PVC is your prayer and your prayer is your PVC. cry
We have been praying for years upon years, yet see the state of the common man in Nigeria, and I'm not talking about politicians. A typical Nigerian is ready to pounce on you and collect your food the moment you blink.
As I have always maintained; God has abandoned Nigeria for good. Just go about your normal live and live it till you leave this world, shikena.

Malaria?! Hell nah! *Shivers cry
After my near death experience of typhoid & malaria, I swore never to leave home without my mosquito net and thick socks. I don't care how hot the weather is, I'd rather soak my bed with sweat than get a bite from those bloody little shîts. Thank God for my mini-fan and long lasting power banks to keep my fan juiced up and running all night.

Nice one, I must commend them on a good job. I went to visit a relative at Ilogbo around March this year. I told my relative I don't know when next I'd visit because I found it very difficult to get to his home address. Let me call him to congratulate him. Nice

we practice religion with hypocrisy in Nigeria and that's why we're religious and terrible.

True hypocrisy, I tell you. Most of them are just scared of what will happen to them after they die, so they try to be holy so they can get God's reward, but naturally feel hate for themselves. Just like a child who is only well-behaved when dad promises him/her a gift.
We build churches and mosques at every nook and cranny but a look at the situation of the country can tell you just how terrible we are.
I have colleagues, Christians and Moslems that wil abandon their duties to go pray. And when I ask why, they just give silly reasons like; it is what is required of Allah everyday or they have a powerful program they can't afford to miss. undecided

Phones / Re: The Last Person You Blocked, What Did They Do ? by NACE13: 4:18pm On Aug 20, 2022
I blocked my Aunty about 4 months ago, after she insulted me. I'm a grown up and she still thinks I'm that little boy she changed his diapers many years ago. Truth is, she is quite arrogant and her manner of approach is below poor.

Another one I blocked last year, is colleague of mine at the office. God! She's so childish and when I visited her place for the first time, I understood why she's so childish- she's a mummy's little girl. Her mood swing is very annoying. Like if she's upset with one person, the whole world will suffer for it. I just couldn't deal with an overgrown baby. After doing it the 4th time, I decided to completely shut her off. Like, I just say hi and move on. After the day's work, I'll just happily go home alone or join other colleagues. Her street is kinda adjacent to mine, so we used to be 'going home' buddies.
As a girl or a guy, especially the females , never ever use mood swing as an excuse to be silly with me. undecided

from this comment it obvious you got my point but are kind of concern about my choice of words. the more reason I said they enjoy it cos choice of entertainment differs.

commenting the thread has nothing to do with liking or disliking the program. I'm on an open forum with numerous news, beside what reasonable news do get on front page this days so one won't but consume what makes the page.

Actually, you didn't make any point, that's where the problem is. Sorry.
Yes, it is an open forum, yet you left the numerous topics gracing the index page and decided to focus on the one concerning BBN.
Choice of entertainment differs, yet you call the people that decided to follow theirs ''stupid''. I'm sure you have your own choice of entertainment that you follow. Hopefully, it is wee less "stupid" than BBN, yes?

No, I don't watch the show but the issue is that you went on to attack people who do by calling them 'stupid' and still ended your post by saying let them just enjoy their thing while you do yours.

You have a problem with the show but you came to comment on a thread specifically for the show and then you attacked followers of the show and then you said you don't have anything to do with them. C'mon. Live and let live, bruh.

you should separate human nature from religion.

That's why I said what she put up there is wrong. Most people pray with 'eye service', and not from the bottom of their heart.
Most Moslems condemn anything alcohol but will get high on anything available(double standard). Same thing with most Christian folks that I know.

Prayer is amongst what makes someone a Muslim..It's one of the pillars of Islam.. As for the terrorist, they are not Muslims. Why? Because they twist what Allah said and do whatever they want.. Technically they are not worshipping Allah SWT

You said you prefer an Atheist...I rather sit, live and eat with a Jew (Not even Christian) than to do anything with an Atheist because he doesn't believe that there will be a Judgement day and can do anything he likes to you without a second thought..

So, the reason why you are a devout Muslim is because of the fear of Allah's judgment, and not because of your humanity towards man. You are not far from what you are condemning an atheist for. That's why I said I feel more comfortable with an Atheist, because they will do things and they believe nothing will hold them back, unlike you religious folks who want to do it but won't do it just because of fear of God's wrath (Hypocrisy).

Hmmm. Prayer is what makes one a Muslim ooo..If you don't pray then you are not a Muslim...

Even Osama Bin Ladin prayed 5 times a day. Shekau too. I know a devout Muslim who never misses prayer but is ready to stab one in the neck at any given chance. Another hates anything alcohol, never misses his prayers but cheats on his wife with different women. I'm not condemning the religion but what you wrote up there is not true. Prayer doesn't make one a muslim. I feel more comfortable sitting with an Atheist than a devout Muslim.....even Christians, because most are damn Hypocrites.

Religion / Re: Archbishop Ibezim: Many Talents Decaying Because People Rather Pray Than Work by NACE13: 7:32am On Aug 07, 2022
The man said nothing but the truth. All the techs we see around us today, didn't come by just through prayers.
I see so-called pastors sitting in church all day doing nothing but praying. They are so comfortable with being idle because their customers members wiil always "bless God's servant".
The Europeans that brought the religion have millions of Atheists in their own country but after our Fathers dumped theirs, they've passed the backward mentality down the line.
I know a person who fires down prayer almost every night, disturbing the peace of others. He believes imaginary forces are always after him and his family. The man is owing almost every loan app there is. His wife is a full-time house wife and they seem comfortable with that. They pray every day for their helper to locate them #Smh sad

I didn't meddle in yours either, not at all. I'm only trying to understand why you are attacking the man on his choice of candidate. Your choice of candidate is non of my concern.
Now, I just asked if you'd rather choose someone with a questionable/shady past as your preferred choice because he is from the SW or someone who has a better CV than him but isn't from the SW, all in the name of "Supporting your own"? I simply asked you this because you called him a Betrayer.

All reasonable Yoruba are aware that you're truly not a Yoruba! No responsible person sells his own but protects it in this present Nigeria where everyone looks after his own. Continue to do as you're doing because you're not a tribalist and you're cosmopolitan. You're different from the foolish others. "I'm sorry for you"! Mr Nigeria.

Hello! I don't mean to intrude but this your comment is a cause for concern. Why? Because it is just filled with hate and sentiments. So you mean to tell me you'd rather vote someone who has a questionable past and childish manifesto to present to the people because he is frome the SW? In 2015, I fully supported PMB because of his so-called clean slate and I was convinced he was the Messiah Nigeria was praying for, even though I'm from the South. I don't vote with sentiments, rather the person whom I feel will take us out of this current mess we(Nigeria) are in.

In 2019, I refused to vote for my kinsman who was running for a senatorial post in my constituency because in his first term, I could not name three(3) things he did for good(or bad) 4 years
I served in Osun state and I made a promise to go back there probably towards my retirement because I fell in love with their culture and also the serenity of Osogbo, the state Capital.
In a nutshell, what I'm trying to say is; I judge people by their character and not their ethnicity or religion or beliefs. So, please live and let live.

PS: I am not a supporter of Peter Obi or any political party. I'll choose my preferred candidate after the Presidential debate

But my greatest surprised is their apps I mean easy buy loan apps showing me #12000 in six places (I.e #12000*6) =#72000
Now #25000+72000=#97000
Please is anyone have an idea of easy buy phone?
Because I'm so confused
Thanks Nairalands users

The longer payment plan, the higher the interest, bro. That's how they work. It would have been less if you used 2-3 months plan.
LOL. What were you expecting, that you'd pay 75k in a span of 6 months just like that? What is now their profit? cheesy
Sorry, it had to be this way. Next time, with due diligence, you'd be fine. Take your L in peace, bro

Romance / Re: Ladies: How Do You Reply A Guy When You Are Not Interested? by NACE13: 10:58am On Jul 29, 2022
I know the question was directed to the ladies but my clues are:
1.) Monosyllabic replies either when on a date or when texting.
2.) Expecting the guy to always 'Hi' her first whenever we bump into each other. Some even pretend not to see you, me I then act like I never saw you either.
3.) Would never call to ask you how you are faring after a long while of no communication.
4.) Will never save your number; experienced this once with a chick- she'd always apologise but won't still save my number. I told her that I got her message clearly, then she tried to apologise again, I told her to save it for another person.
5.) Keep cancelling on dates

All these, except number 1 happened when Obi was still a boy smiley. These days, when I take her out on a date, there's a 95% chance she'd want another date soonest by being the first to text or call me to know if I got home safe and then call the next morning to check on me and stylishly tell me she wants another date.

Well it seems u do not know the rules of the show hence ur reasons trying all ur best to prove a point. Pls go and read the terms and conditions guiding the show then come back for more chat. For now let's pause our argument. Meanwhile do understand that I am not in anyway against Peter Obi whom u are supporting, just that I dislike politics.

And who said I'm a supporter of Peter Obi? How you jumped to such conclusion is amazing, bro. I dislike politics too, that's why I never get myself involved in it.
All I'm asking is how does wearing a sweat shirt inscribed with mere words of advice translate to "politicking"? Now, you and BBN chose to read it as a political statement without proof twas indeed a political statement. For your information, the catch phrase "....Cos I'm Batman" is a popular saying by Batman, the DC comic character and not a political slogan. Take your argument to a competent court of Law and see your case thrown out the window. Why? Because you chose to see it that way without any proof of any political insignia or accessory attached to it.

It does translate to that especially at a time where Peter Obi's supporters are using the same line as a slogan to promote their candidate . Mind u I am not a follower of any politician and I am not against Mr Peter Obi, what I am against is hypocrisy and double standard some people potray in the name of supporting Peter Obi. Rules are rules. If u cannot obey rules then don't get involved in someone's show.

So, let me get you straight; He should be cautioned because he wore a sweat shirt with the inscription "Be Obedient and Useful". The campaign slogan is "OBIdient and YUSful", ok.
Let's assume I wear a shirt inscribed "....Cos I am BATman!", I should be cautioned or punished, yes? Now explain to me clearly how he broke the rules and made it a political statement? How does that even translate to double standard?

Please let's all rally around the guy. We can use this show to draw home a point that we have what it takes to make Peter Obi winner of 2023 presidential electionn by voting this Eloswag to victory. We can do it. Let's do it. If he does not win, anti-Peter Obi will use it against us as a prove he cannot win presidential election.

Vote for Eloswag!
Vote for Peter Obi!!

Bro, please, don't get me wrong. I only acknowledged the truth and how smart the dude is. I'm neither into politics nor BBN, but on that day I'll surely vote for my preferred and right choice. Cheerios
TV/Movies / Re: BBNaija Cautions Eloswag Against "Politicking" by NACE13: 6:54am On Jul 29, 2022
This doesn't make sense. The inscription clearly reads "Be obedient and useful" which is more like an advice not a political slogan of "OBIdient and YUSful".
I can even win such case with a competent Judge to preside.
Why are people screaming for his removal when it is clear he didn't bring any political flag or accessory to the house. Human being are funny creatures sha. I give to the dude, he's smart with such strategy though.

Wahala for people wey no get natural pink lips o. This is so damn funny yo!
Someone up there said he accidentally bought P*NIS enlargement cream. Lmao grin

But for real though, I don't get why most guys go to any length to get pink lips, just to impress the opposite gender. Most foreign guys use it but they use the original ones from reputable cosmetic coys, not the ones they sell under bridge at Ikeja. I see how most guys abuse it to the extent I saw one who looks like Joker (Bateman's arch enemy) . It went as far as to both corners of his lips. Very irritating.
