Politics › Re: Tinubu’s Govt To Spend ₦‎341 Billion On Judgment Debts by nedekid: 9:12am On Aug 10, 2023
OBIDIENTNAIJA:
Another avenue to loot. Anything about Ebola Ahmed Tinubu is associated with stealing. Guess what folks? His zombies supporters are like that. Birds of a feather flocks together. Won't that amount fix one refinery?? Over estimation of everything in this country is not good.
In fairness this debt has nothing to do with the current administration. The they are court judgement debts. The beneficiaries can make governance difficult.
One of them I read early this week is already trying to enforce the judgement in the US. If he is sucessful, Nigerian assets eg bank accounts could be seized.

stop saying nonsense. Nigeria electricity is powered by 80% has and 20% dam. Which resources did niger have to build a dam?
The one world bank have been building for them for years have they completed it yet?
Now that world bank ,america, france ,e.t.c have suspended funding how will niger surivive.
You are right as usual.
Business › Re: Naira Weakens To 917 Per Dollar - Bloomberg by nedekid: 8:21am On Aug 10, 2023
Yeah, so I heared.
Pounds is already 1200 and rising.
People say oga has midas touch yet the naira is being destroyed.
In 3 months dollar in cbn rate of 460 has gone to 950, pounds from 550 to 1200.
Blackmarket $1 from 750 to 950. Pounds from 950 to 1200.
What it took buhari 8 years to achieve, this time it is likely taking at the current rate less than 1 year.
All this is something apc met at 180 to $, 250 to 1 pound.
We are seeing a whole country being destroyed.
Anyway, it seems only certain sets of people are suffering it, others show tribal or party cards and get it cheaper.

Osibanjo took over for just 1 month, dollar crash from 700 to 300, Sars disappeared from road, business boomed because everywhere was calm. Once buhari returned, everything scattered again.
Story is when the righteous is in power, the people rejoice. When the wicked is in power, the people cry.
They should make it 1m per cylinder, the righteous will buy and not sweat.

Crap. Lawyers should take this up.
What concerns me with what is going on with ecowas or Niger and it's politics.
If I had any business with Niger, or persons there, I would have challenged this is court and sued heavily for loss of revenue and damages.

Guinea is already damming the river. Niger too started Damming the river last year. Lack of funds is why they haven't completely dammed it yet.

It's interesting to see you Obidients organizing a "pity party" for Niger Republic on this thread. Weren't they once your enemies when Buhari was president?

Just last week, you were all laughing at the photoshop images of Tinubu during the Nigeriens protest against the Nigerian president
... grin
I will ignore your last 2 paragraphs and any such petty talk as it is irrelevant.
Anyway concerning the topic at hand. Yes, it seems you are correct, Niger has started making moves to construct a dam to reduce reliance on Nigerian supplied electricity. But the river has not yet been dammed.
As at 2020, the then minister of power, visited his colleague in Niger likely to dialog. The outcome was his statement that he will discuss with the Nigerian transmission companies to make a downward review of the tariffs for sales of electricity to Niger.
Dont you think by Nigeria sanctioning Niger ie cutting electricity to them makes it expedient, gives them more reason to pursue the cause of reducing reliance on Nigeria?

Niger as it is presently, doesn't have any wherewithal anywhere to build a dam across the river Niger.
Even Nigeria as at today will not be able to fund the construction of a dam except they take loans from international sources or as usual, ask China to build the dam and they pay back over the years.
Building a dam in this present day no be beans or akara...even for a country like Nigeria, talk less of Niger that is owing Nigeria millions of dollars for electricity we have supplied them...take it from me as a construction cost professional.

Niger has constructing a danm project 3yrs ago in Which the Nigeria government assisted in funding that project, but due to financial issues on their own hand the project was going slowly.
And more over, chad has been daming river Niger.
So stop spelling rubbish with your dirty, smelly, stinking mouth angry

PepeXKermit:
Nigeria is supplying niger electricity but cannot boast of 247 light. What nigeria cannot make you amazed of does not exist.
Nigeria has an agreement with Niger to supply them electricity in exchange for Niger not damming the Niger river.
If Niger dams the river Niger for electricity and irrigation purposes, we will be the ones needing to buy light from them, besides our farming will be affected.
Nigeria, sanctioning Niger with electricity despite the agreement has shown we are not reliable. In this case, it will not be out of place Niger makes it a policy to dam the Niger river once they attain stability.

The coupists are under tremendous pressure. They have not gotten him to resign amidst rumour of counter coup and punishing potent sanctions by Ecowas. Check my signature for free stuffs!
Purnishing, potent sanctions by ecowas? Funny. On the short term maybe, long term maybe not. In terms of electricity, Nigeria has broken the agreement. Niger will wisen up and has the justification to dam the Niger river. Let's see who will be buying electricity from who, or who will have farming destroyed by less water for irrigation.
Sanction wise, we did not learn from closing borders with Benin Republic. As it is said, once one door closes, another opens. Are you aware Niger is bordered by Algeria, Libya, Chad and Mali, all not joining in the sanctions?
We, Nigerians will be seen as unreliable, Niger will develop other trade and supply routes, they will find out they can survive without us just as others did when Buhari shut the borders.
Inshort we sanction ourselves, our goods are stuck at the borders, also in transit. Produce and goods worth billions, go to YouTube and watch the news about onions by the onions dealers association. It is a desaster.
Aviation nko, now flights out of Abuja to europe has added atleast 1hr. Do you know the fuel burn for 1hr?
Thank God Mali has not joined to close their airspace to us. If not you will send extra 3 hours on a 6hr flight. Tickets will rise 40%.

I got USDT then put a trade to buy GBP or CAD at a price of my choice. Then sell back to USD. Infact, with Binance, you are burea d change. You can buy when low, sell when high... on your own!

To convert USDT to physical cash is possible but not a easy and straightforward process. I usually fund a virtual Visa card or MasterCard with USDT to enable me buy stuffs on AliExpress, Amazon, etc. There are P2P exchangers that can help fund your dom account with USD by paying USDT. It is also possible to convert USDT to PYUSD (a new USD stablecoin issued by Paypal) and pay US based paypal user.

Nigerians can buy USD on Binance in the form of a stablecoin (USDT). A stablecoin is just a cryptocurrency with the same value as USD. Binance does not issue USDT. It's just a platform where you can buy it via (peer to peer) P2P.

2. To pay a suppier

This binance, how does it work? Eg, How did it help you get dollars? What happens if you change your money to crypto and binance suddenly closes shop, how do you get your money back.
Finally, at what rate do you get the dollar in this crypto binance.
Pardon my asking. I know absolutely nothing about this.
