Foreign AffairsRe: Is African Unity Necessary For The Total Liberation Of Black Africa? by NegroNtns(m): 3:07pm On Feb 01, 2010
ow,

I'm glad you mentioned trade.

@post,

We formed OAU in order that we can foster bettee union, understanding and progress on the continent. That failed!

Then we thought since Europe created EU maybe if we change our OAU and calll it AU, then we will become a progressive people. Nonsense!

The problem is not name. It is not language or a curse or ego. . .our problem is not our spirit or our fortitude. . .the problem is that we are held back by an education system that conflicts with and work at cross-purpose with our nature and our philosophical view of the cosmos.

Currently, we have bent our philosophical nature to conform to the aspects of western education. We must undo that.

In order to find progress and unity, to become a world power, we must adapt western education. . .we need to mold it. . .to fit in with our philosophy. It will not look anything like we have now but it will be something that is effective, productive and efficieent for the Black race.

here are the dots. . .

1. the struggles of Haiti is not isolated from the struggles of blacks in America.

2. every black neighborhood in America is a "little Haiti" . . .so to speak.

3. the Haitian revolution against France was a model and the precursor to many such struggles to later follow in black America.

4. Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Black Panther, SNCC. . .etc. Each of these entities represented a marker in the journey of black American social struggle and fight for equality.

5. their struggles of 50yrs ago is in no way different from the struggles which we witness today in these neighborhoods - police brutality is as common today as it was then and as it was in the times of J Edgar Hoover and Jim Crow laws with FBI's CONINTELPRO (thanks Cap28), so it is today even with a black President in White House. The strategy of brutal rulership is transformed but the ideology of denying social justice to blacks is still strong and going.

6. American police are indoctrinated to believe that everywhere three or more black males are seeing together. . .sooner than you can imagine crime will occur. . .they must be conspiring to harm somebody or rob someone or do drugs or rape or carjack or kill or. . .on and on, the list is endless!

7. . . .so with Haiti quake, the next day American media was already broadcasting fear about crime. US was sending military and ammo to fight crime and protect people.

8. . . .nothing is changed! everywhere black people congreate. . there is bound to be lawlessness, chaos, disorderlliness. The white mainsream must thus intervene on behalf of the law abiding citizens and save the world from the villain called black man.

this is not about anti-America, if you go through many of my posts you will see how vehemently I defend America when its right to do so. . .this is about truth! The interests of my black people trump that of citizenship. If Haiti is under attack, I am under attack and I may not have a force matching the opponents but I have a damn good stamina to stand ground in a verbal assault and wear and tear my opponent apart.

America is in Haiti for the same reason that FBI infiltrated the hood and destroyed Black Panther. People in the ghettoes were beginning to rely on panther and trust its authority better than they were the government. In domestic disputes and social disturbaance in the hood they wuld call panther instead police. That's called self-sufficiency and self rule! Haiti, inspite of its many shortcomings was disliked for its self-sufficiency a self rule.

For those who know how to connect dots. . .for those facing forward when their teachings was done. . .for those who were educated forward and are forward thinking. . , go ahead and conclude on where the black man struggle stands.
RomanceRe: Would Share Your Password With You Spouse by NegroNtns(m): 10:26pm On Jan 31, 2010
In married relationships, should partners let each other know their passwords (i.e. for Facebook, Emails, Twitter, MySpace, Nairaland, etc) or should privacy be maintained?
first, I have to say some of the sites you listed are not "marriage friendly", so to speak!

once you are married you are in a sacrificial union and somethings you enjoyed in single life ought to be given up for the emotional security of your spouse. unless of course if the arangement between the two of you have that understanding to cohabit openly and allow inclusion.

now having said that, share my password with her. . .for what?? why?

Sam,

we have here, in these two, what William Lynch, in his famous literature about breeding "asses" called "backward facing donkeys".

they cannot sort out the fundamental knowledge of numbers.  Since they were facing backward, their teaching was done backward.  I am not sure if they were taught that 1 is a "natural" number . , . or not!  i am bewildered that they cannot concile "natural and truth" as one and the same.

I need to talk to people with your kind of mind. . .they don't have to agree or be on same viewpoint with me. . . .as long they are not "backward facing donkeys", cool!

El Razur and El Tayo, see yall again when your head is sitting on your neck and not in your butt.

Razur, I see. . .

Facts exist, . . .separate from Truths!

1+1=2 is a Truth! If I say 1+1 is not equal to 2, that does not make me a liar or a conspiracist.

I want you to first understand that then I will give you the next line of thought on that equation.

What is fact? I asked you this question elsewhere and you defaulted to external authorities as your source of facts. Tell me what fact is.

Which are regulated by international laws and regulations. No?

Which are monitored by several international stations.  .   .  No?

Which are used as part of materials used world wide by all forms of allegiancehuh No?

Which are run and maintained by people whose first love is Science, the betterment of mankind second and perhaps Politics least of their worries? No?

Okay.

On the other hands, you facts are from where? Live leaks? Conspiracy sites? Russian politicians who clearly are "non biased" towards the US. etc? Yeah I see you make a very convincing case.
Wow!  That's a mouthful!  Now, let me give you an earful. . .or properly put, "an eyeful"!

The CRU in East Anglia, is exactly in the list of authoritative bodies that you listed and they have reports, charts, data output. . .all kind of things you want to know about climate.  Not that their menton is related to the topic. . .but I bring this up because its relevant to the issue of authority and credibility.  We recently learnt that certain scientists on climate research were cooking numbers to influence policy.  People like you worship these bodies and take their output as the final say. . .anybody countering their report is labelled as a theorist and a liar.  If that body had not been exposed their shenanigans on climate change would have been bought wholesale in Copenhagen.

There are many like that not yet exposed.  I wonder if people like yourself ever read disclaimers before you consume what you wrongly called facts.  Even USGS is distancing itself from ownership and responsibility of what you call facts.  Read on. . .

On earthquake research and reporting, USGS (US geological Survey) is a authority, particularly in this hemisphere.  So if anyone needed facts on Haiti quake, your one stop is the USGS. They also serve as clearinghouse for other research bodies as well as academia.

I want to share with you what the USGS has said about the reports on its site.

1. Felt Reports
Severe damage and casualties in the Port-au-Prince area. Felt throughout Haiti and the Dominican Republic, in Turks and Caicos Islands, southeastern Cuba, eastern Jamaica, in parts of Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, and as far as Tampa, Florida and Caracas, Venezuela.

2.  DYFI (Did You Feel It) Disclaimer

Some USGS information accessed through this page may be preliminary in nature and presented prior to final review and approval by the Director of the USGS.

This information is provided with the understanding that it is not guaranteed to be correct or complete, and conclusions drawn from such information are the sole responsibility of the user.

These are automatic computer generated maps and have not necessarily been checked by human oversight, so they may contain errors.

Further, the input data for these maps are taken directly from the community of Internet users.

While we make efforts to sort out unusual individual observations, the “net” product may still contain errors.

These maps are preliminary in nature and they will be updated frequently as data is supplemented by additional observations. It is important to reload your browser to see the update.

Locations within the same intensity area will not necessarily experience the same level of damage since damage depends heavily on the type of structure, the nature of the construction, and the details of the ground motion at that site, whereas a CIIM intensity value is intended to represent an average value for an entire ZIP code region.

For this reason more or less damage than described in the intensity scale may occur.

Intensities assigned by Internet users alone are not official USGS Modified Mercalli Intensities. While calibrated to agree with the USGS MMI in some average sense, they should not be considered equivalent to the USGS MMI.

Intensities reaching the damaging range (VI or higher) can only be considered reliable and authoritative if validated by the designated representative of the U.S. Geological Survey.

This is not the case for these Internet user-based maps.

At present, the procedure for preparing the CIIM is new and experimental. Some aspects of the procedure may change in the future.

Is this how facts should be owned? by researching authorities, . . .in a hands off appproach. . ."you are on your own" kind of way?
Foreign AffairsRe: Should The Us Be Blamed For The Haiti Earthquake?jesse Ventura Speaks- by NegroNtns(m): 2:48pm On Jan 30, 2010
plenty assumptions in your response.

first, I never said US caused the earthquake and I never said anyone did but based on the evidence on ground and my understanding that a naturally occuring quake has a distinct signature and that Haiti quake did not follow that signature, couple that with alternatiive view that this might be a HAARP hit and given my familiarity with US bad behavior I raised questions.

I dare you to quote where I said US caused the quake.

Second, on the point that I accuse US of occupying Haiti, I don't know how else you will call it if US hovered helicopter over Aso rock and air drop Marines in full combat gear on the premise.

The Congressman is saying the same thing that some people are claiming that military deploy is a good fit for relief effort in Haiti and that he disagrees and oppose that view. He said this is an open-end commitment. In other words, US will write its role flexibly as things move along. He blames Clinton (which I and couple other people have done) and Bush for their past attempt to do nation building in Haiti but the interventon and mismanagement was wasteful.
People who are familiar with this hisory are upset and are skeptic of US intervention this time around. I am one of those. . .and so is the Congressman.

If you say I'm spinning conspiracy theory and a hatred for US, wouldn't that place the Congressman under the same light?

. . .and I hope you know who Ron Paul is, he definitely love the country and he is a dissenter. Skepticism is different from conspiracy. Don't cry conspiracy just because its a buzz word. . .and eeryone is using it. more important becareful about making assumptions and quoting people out of context.

Jesse is a theorist wannabe! There are genuine theorists and this guy gives that cult a bad rap.

I watched his tv show once and that did it for me. . .the prophecy of 2012.

Without even putting on my analyst hat. . .I still had on my "stupid prospector" hat when I watched it. . .and I couuld see all the missing dots. When dots are missing then connections are impossible.

Keep on keeping on my friend!

Razur, I see you are leaving an awful odor everywhere you go. You stink! Dissenting with the general acceptance and order of things is not necessarily a conspiracy. Many such dissents in past history has brought benefit to mankind.

When you are in a heated debate with an opponent, remember never to play your winning hands too early. . .like a game of card, you keep your aces close to your breast and play them only when you are ready to close the table. It seems your obsession against dissenting voice is getting out of hand when you conclude it must be a conspiracy or because it is not supported by facts then it must be fictitious. So, I throw an ace down on the table here for you and please respond and tell us if this is conspiracy or a fictitious person.

The House of Reps has received proposition 1021 from Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California expressing Condolences to The People of Haiti and here is one of their member's response to that proposition.

Statement of Congressman Ron Paul
United States House of Representatives

Statement in Opposition to H Res 1021, Condolences to Haiti

January 21, 2010

I rise in reluctant opposition to this resolution. Certainly I am moved by the horrific destruction in Haiti and would without hesitation express condolences to those who have suffered and continue to suffer. As a medical doctor, I have through my career worked to alleviate the pain and suffering of others.

Unfortunately, however, this resolution does not simply express our condolences, but rather it commits the US government “to begin the reconstruction of Haiti” and affirms that “the recovery and long-term needs of Haiti will require a sustained commitment by the United States….” I do not believe that a resolution expressing our deep regret and sorrow over this tragedy should be used to commit the United States to a “long-term” occupation of Haiti during which time the US government will provide for the reconstruction of that country.

I am concerned over the possibility of an open-ended US military occupation of Haiti and this legislation does nothing to alleviate my concerns. On the contrary, when this resolution refers to the need for a long term US plan for Haiti, I see a return to the failed attempts by the Clinton and Bush Administrations to establish Haiti as an American protectorate. Already we are seeing many argue that this kind of humanitarian mission is a perfect fit for the US military. I do not agree.

Certainly I would support and encourage the efforts of the American people to help the people of Haiti at this tragic time. I believe that the American people are very generous on their own and fear that a US government commitment to reconstruct Haiti may actually discourage private contributions.

Mr. Speaker, already we see private US citizens and corporations raising millions of dollars for relief and reconstruction of Haiti. I do not believe the US government should get in the way of these laudable efforts.

I do express my condolences but I unfortunately must urge my colleagues to vote against this resolution committing the United States government to rebuild Haiti.

isn't that abuse of power and a part of what we don't like about Nigerian leaders?
Foreign AffairsRe: The Writing Is On The Wall. . . by NegroNtns(op): 1:15am On Jan 30, 2010
. . .well, its now confirmed!

Word is going around that the Haitian government is being pressured to ceede sovereign power to a more capable foreign authority. Haitians on the streets are being surveyed to see how they feel about that. So far, the street (of course, what else were they expecting) is in favor of US taking over. I wonder if the view of those in favor of remaining sovereign would be reported.

We didn't need this point in the unfolding event to form convincing opinion that America is overthrowwing the government. The intent is exhibited when Marines were dropped onto the premise of a sovereign seat of power. . . , hence the topic, "The Writing is on the Wall".

Look I'm going to shut up and allow you guys to follow it and come to your own conclusions. . . .that is for those who are capable of making independent analysis and closing.

. . . we shall see where this mess leads!

lmao!!

Aloy. . .I don't prove anything in a discussion forum. There is nothing to "prove"! The dictionary is not set in stone. . .it is a "work in progress" , you can coin up any word, then trademark or copyright it and then circulate it around in public enough for it to earn entry in the dico. . .its as simple as that!

A word does not need to be in dictionary for it to be used. . .in all of us is a potential for adventure. You can invent anything, including a word. This is what I have repeatedly preached for days now. . .don't ridicule Palin or people who have expansive mind to challenge the norm and give birth to a new usage and a new view. . .celebrate it! Bush said during his Presidency "I'm the decider" and he was ridiculed for using a word not in the dictionary. . but his critics were wrong.

Blog was a weird word when it was first used some years ago but now it made the dictionary. . .and we all use it proudly. . .we should celebrate those who from time to time ignite our senses, not denigrate them. Without their adventures, weirdo as they look and sound, life would be boring and blunt!

Thank you Muhsin for the feedback.

There is no one person that know it all, the interactions we have on ths forum through the various views are productive when people challenge existing pre-notions and are able to create breakthrough moments from which awareness are then updated. Otherwise we will continue to breed meek minds locked behind a a false sense of security that academic excellence alone is a guarantor of success and survival in a ever dangerous and evolving world that so far has proven that the globe is ruled by those who are proficient at applying the teachings of academia to the pragmatic world of co-existence.

So if you have gained any new awareness in this post, then be sure to create your own expansion from it and share that along. From one to the next, this is how we expand and grow in our understanding of humanity.
Foreign AffairsRe: Earthquake Test Goes Horribly Wrong! by NegroNtns(m): 3:12am On Jan 29, 2010
Use my senses to accept blatant LIES about an aircraft needing a 3 mile runway when it doesn't? To accept that an earthquake affected one quadrant when in actual reality it affected all four?
. . .you take it upon yourself to conclude that when your out of context accusations are not returned in a response then it must be true.

Under the circumstance where you said hercules landed on a carrier I rebutted and told you it was not at full payload. If it was, as was the case of the cargo laden one that landed in Haiti, then it would have overshot the runway and end up in the harbour. Remember too that the test was carried out in Boston. You probably don't have enough info to understand that the experiment was done under the most minimum conditions and lowest risk possible. With full load the arrestor cable would not have brought the craft to stop. Now, if the maneuver was a touch and go, then it was not a landing. So you need to go back to your source and get the factors right. Again, go back to my example with the car and study load/distance ratio and how the dynamics work.

On the quadrant, Port Au Prince is about 16miles from epicenter. No where else in the perimeter of the epcenter did they experience any damage. . .not even in the provinces between the epicenter and Port Au Prince. Is the earthquake playing hop-scotch?

don't think when I don't answer you per each accusation that I'm concuring. . . your position is embarassing to say the least.

You brought a picture with dotted areas showing hit zones. How do u know your picture is accurate? Have you thought for a minute that I don't have to believe what u say or respond to it if I cosider it comical? . . .but I guess, again, your mind is blotted and even the most obvuous escapes your comprehension.

We are talking about American bad behavior and you are questioning what we have against it? Do you love America more than its President? American President agrees and acknowledges the wrongdoing of his nation. You are what we call Uncle Tom. . ."oh. don't say that or we might be in trouble with authorities". . .

IDIOT!

No one in NL is allowed to know my identity, so my offer to have coffee with you says a lot to convey my true impression and trust. Stay tuned. . .I'm going to send you email, there are plenty for us to collaborate on.

debo, you still don't get it!  What evidence is better than the destruction of Haiti economy and political infrastructure by previous US governments or their (US) recent bombardment and invasion of Iraq. . .what evidence is better than the word of the current President when he said America has wronged many nations in the world?

So is it you are not conversant with the historical pattern or you just assume that those of us who are raising questions are doing so out of hatred for America?  If you believe America behaves badly sometimes and a point is brought up suggesting this might be another bad behavior are you saying you will wait to see evidence of it first before you ask questions?  That you will withold your "what if" until the evidence is first reviewed?
Foreign AffairsRe: Terrorism. . .is The War Winnable? by NegroNtns(op): 3:39am On Jan 28, 2010
I didn't understand that you were talking of terrorism at that larger scope. I thought you were specifically referring to the kind of terrorism we are everyday hearing/reading in the news, for instance US War on terror in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world.
. . .it occurred to me beforehand that this might happen. So I opened with my first question "what is terrorism?" I closed by asking few more questions. . .who is a terrorist, can a doctor that deliberately infect people with deadly disease be called a terrorist. . . can a phamaceutical company that sold banned drugs and supervised their use under false claims be called a terrorist. . . can a hijacker who flew a plane into a metrocity be called a taerrorist?

Isn't terrorism like beauty? Its inherent in mankind and is in the eye of the beholder. Like theft, like prostitution. . . terrorism is an unwinnable war.

. . .oh, sshhhhh, sshhh. .you will be labeled conspiracy theorist for analyzing American bad behavior.

Clinton took the sole cash crop. . .their livelihood and opened it up to free trade competition with subsidies for chiquita. Its like a refree telling Mike Tyson its illegal to use perfomance enhancement drug before a fight and then turn his back away from Hollyfield's corner so he wouldn't witess him injected with a dosage of enhancement mix. That's worse than unfair or injustice. . .that's deliberate interference aimed at harming and destroying the opponent.
Foreign AffairsRe: Earthquake Test Goes Horribly Wrong! by NegroNtns(m): 2:44am On Jan 28, 2010
Sam,

Conscious living and existence is subsistent on the principles of relativity. For every view proposed, there is an opposing and counter view. For every event, there will be a "what if" scenario.

I don't understand what that idiot is saying that "what ifs" occur only in selective situatuons. He must live a selective life where anything too demanding for his brain to process is then disposed as conspiracy.

, . in any case, my reason for joining the conversation was primarily to raise awareness by asking the "what ifs" . That's what my questions were. People who know me can attest that I don't accept anything just to appear informed. . .I ask questions and my questions, when given thought, produce informed and instructive outcomes.

In auditing process there is a rule called "Sarbanes Oaxley". The rule stipulates that if you review principal points in a process structure that begins at A and ends at Z and you are at point X when you discover that the tributary inputs to X are irreconciliable and cannot be passed ok on the checklist, then you must treat points A to W as equally infected parts of the whole system and return to the beginning to re-inspect and work your way all over from A to Z.

Given American history with covert and direct attacks on other nations, even when the reason s illegitimate and outright insultig to mankind. . .it is noble to take a look at the Russian version of the story and ask "what if".

You don't need evidence. .the lesson of a past history or of a new discovery is sufficient. I am shocked at those who did not ask question after reading what Russia said. . .but I dismiss those who challenged the questioners motive as nothing more than enslaved minds locked into a "don't rock the American boat" mentality. NEWSFLASH; America loves it when its boat is rocked. . . all it asks is that you don't capsize it or sink it. Be bold and truthful for a change and knock off your timid, toe-in-line mental servitude to the almighty Empire. Refusing to challenge America does not in anyway make you patriotic or law abiding in the eye of American intelligence. In fact, I hate to tell you that they find you boring and bland. You are not a challenge and so you don't make their time in cyber worthwhle.

Sam, I appreciate your advocacy but I can't stand stupid minds and I never yield to educated but ignorant brains. . , they are unadventurous and never will I yield my ground to the fools !
