BuhariAdvocate:Stop telling lies Aboki. Nnamdi Kanu has never called on his followers to attack Yoruba. In fact he has said igbos, deltans and Yoruba can get along. His only problem is with northerners. I know your master Buhari has told you to spread lies to keep us divided |
buhari is a mumu.. |
CeterisXVII:Mumu, the typical Nigerian flaw, the inability to see another person's view. Awo was not a saint and for you to say all Yoruba rever him shows you are the fool. Pretty much all of the Nigerian political class have been poor and Awo was no exception. Did the South West not fight alongside the North to force Biafra back into Nigeria? When south westerners knew very well the plight of Igbos in the North that led to Ojukwu's rash decision. Rash because although I understand his reasons, I still think the Biafran war was a MISTAKE... Awo was at the table alongside other Yoruba/Northern leaders to decide the fate of the South East after the civil war. They alongside Northern leaders made some pretty bad decisions which I covered earlier. This led to resentment among Igbo and their region falling behind economically. The South East has only recently closed the gap and that is due to the sheer industriousness of Igbos. My point is this Igbos are certainly not the enemy of Yoruba. Our two nations rub along well, my existence as a man who is half Yoruba and half Igbo is proof of this. Never did either side of my family raise issues with the other on account of their origins. I am very proud of my Yoruba heritage. The history of the city states, from Ife to the rise of Oyo fascinated me as a child. I am probably one of the few Yoruba who is versed in the original Yoruba Ajami script used by the Yoruba before european contact. I still relish the Yoruba religious pantheon and places like Oshogbo still hold a great place in my heart, much to the consternation of my mother who was a religious christian and regards such things as Juju. I have even spent time with our Yoruba brethen trapped across the border in Benin. My point is this, the Arewa region has dominated Nigeria politically and that is because Ahmedo Bello was successful at bringing the North together as Arewa. Places like Yobe were historically never part of the Arewa region, but you would never know it today. For the South to have more say politically we must come to together. Then we will have more of a voice politically. Out of the Nigerian leaders, southern ones have undoubtably been better. Only a few like Gowon who commissioned the national stadium in Lagos and major bridges remotely tried to show regional balance. Murtala Mohammed was another as he wanted to rule Nigeria for Nigerians and the west quickly put an end to his ambitions. Take Obasanjo, he may have been corrupt but compared to the useless Buhari he did achieve a lot. He got rid of our Paris club debt, kickstarted economic growth 6% on average, sorted out the phone system for example. Jonathan too was corrupt but he got the airports renovated, started rail projects and the economy was growing at a good rate. By contrast under Babiganda, Abacha, Buhari or Shagari all we have known is hardship. Each time under Northern leadership the economy went backwards. Get rid of your bigotry and see the real problem. We in the South and that includes Deltans must come together or we will suffer for many more decades to come.... |
Ustec:No they are not educated. The only thing is that they are not afraid to use violence to further their agenda. The South was slow to respond, but enough was enough |
netmillionaires:Bros, sorry oh.. There are a lot of imposters on this forum. Yes Yoruba and Igbo side by side, the north will tremble.. ![]() |
netmillionaires:Exactly... |
Mercy2006:Yes I do, even Nnamdi Kanu said as much. He said I dont have a problem with Yorubas, I only worry about Yoruba muslims. Lets not forget the south west happily betrayed the south east at the end of the biafran war. Awolowo, did not honour one Biafran dollar to one Naira. Neither did he reinstate Igbo accounts in banks in Lagos. Impoverishing a whole generation after the civil war, including those who never wanted Biafra in the first place. Areas like Lagos were richly rewarded with investment after the war, see when bridges like the 3rd mainland bridge and major roads were build. Of course some Igbo would be bitter about it. Two I know that paid online trolls post on this forum.. How are you sure that the supposed Igbos abusing Yorubas are even Igbo. You dont.. Likewise I doubt when I see yoruba posts abusing igbos are real. I have spent time in Lagos, I have never seen Igbo or Yoruba man shed blood when in dispute. I have seen frequent bloody clashes between Hausas and Yorubas in places like Yaba. I dont like to stereotype, but our relationship with Northerners is currently more problematic. Was it Igbos snatching up obas for ransom and invading private lands to graze their cattle. Ah ah, use your head and see who the real problem is. If the South comes together then we can lead the country and probably for the better. If we keep fighting the only winners are the north.. |
Kokoebapluse:All this because you couldnt pay the bride price for some girl from an Igbo family. Then you claim all igbos dislike Yoruba.. Pele ![]() Stop telling me what I am and what I am not. I probably know Yoruba history and tradition better than. In addition to that you claim to be Yoruba, but you live in the North hmm ![]() As I said, the only way to balance this country is for the south to come together.. If not this game of divide and rule by the Hausas will continue. The west would never allow Nigeria to breakup, they aided Nigeria to supress a breakaway Biafra, why do you think an Oduduwa republic will be allowed to exist? Use your head.. |
Kokoebapluse:Mtcheww I am a son of Oduduwa and dont you forget it. Yoruba and Igbo must and will come together.. Otherwise we are finished.. The northerners love when we are divided.. See the real fight |
Kokoebapluse:Stop telling lies Aboki, this nonsense wont work anymore.. I am the son of a Yoruba mother and Igbo Father. The families on both sides were fine with it. We were agreed on the real problem with the country and that is the North. Dont cry because the South is unifying.. |
RapistOnBail:You sharap.... Speak for yourself not a whole continent mumu |
Good real estate for redevelopment once the mill has been shut down... |
flexyrule:This mumu post is the exact reason why Nigeria is the way it is today. You dont mind as you hope your own day to enjoy will come... Yeye man.. Corruption is corruption |
Snipper007:The real governor or Lagos, but fools and illiterates chose Sanwo-Olu to be governor.. That being said the present Lagos governor is better than Ambode. |
UthmanUnique:Yup, if you realise your parent is a mumu, you ignore everything they have to say. A poor man cannot teach you how to be rich... |
Chai this country ohh |
emddi:Read 'Guns, Germs and Steel' by Oyinbo man Jared Diamond or 'Prisoners of Geography' by Tim Marshall first. Before asking ignorant questions mumu. Africa by and large was very isolated compared to the rest of the continents. Our climate too was very different and the environment much harsher to develop than say Western Europe or part of Asia. Also we don't have the most fertile soil in the world. Tropical soil is notoriously poor, exhausted by only a few seasons of agriculture, as the top soil is very thin. It also erodes quickly once the trees holding it down have been removed.. This question was posed even by whites and has been answered. At the same time, when black africans did move to more benign regions their civilisations flourished . See Ta Seti who defeated the Roman Empire or Ancient Egypt who stated their ancestors came from a land that lay to the South Punt (inner africa). Even Aksumite civilisations and Malians showed that Black Africans had no issues producing world class civilisations. I would suggest you read more.. |
DexterousOne:Nigerians were very lucky, our cultures emerged somewhat unscathed after colonialism. Yoruba's still have their identity, ditto Igbos and Hausa/Fulani cling to their identity so fiercely it holds them back at times in their opinion. (Tiv, Efik etc you have yours, but you are small small )I recall a good article talking about this, we had only 100 years of oppression at the most. Whereas the poor African Americans have been oppressed for over two centuries, interestingly the same for South Africans (over 4 centuries as the first whites landed in the 17th century). That is why their reaction to racism is very different.. We have to acknowledge their pain. But at the same time, they should see the benefit of our positive mindset and attitude of perseverance in the face of adversity.. |
Darkseid:You sharap!! ![]() I wish I could give you one dirty slap!! mumu |
The Fulani cabal have finished me. With recent instability in the middle east Oil prices are higher than ever, yet they claim less oil revenue than before. At the same time they claim having to increase the fuel subsidy and yet as others have pointed out fuel prices have risen. Buhari and his Northern disciples are thieves as well as bad liars ![]() |
itsme01:Never mind him, make him swallow am.. |
Youngsage:Well if you voted for Buhari or your relations did, you have only yourself or your family to blame ![]() |
Jalinspy:mumu, they hate African people there, I have lived in Scandinavia for 2 years. I don't understand some Nigerians, why do you want to live like an uninvited guest in someone else's house? |
budaatum:No we are not younger than America. The various peoples that make up Nigeria have existed and have lineages that go back centuries. From the City States of Yorubaland and Edo, to the capital cities of the then Sokoto Caliphate in the North. Southern Nigeria developed a significant surplus for the British. It was the North that was in deficit. Which was why they merged the two. Southern Nigeria would still be valuable to the British today. The issue as always with Nigeria is Myopic and poor leadership. Buhari is no Lee Kuan Yee or Deng Xiaopeng. In short he is an idiot and a bigoted tribalist one at that. That is why we are behind... |
budaatum:Nonetheless, shouldnt we have an economy that can have an arms budget that makes America think twice before attacking us?? The US may threaten China, but they know they cannot take China head on.. We should be in the same boat. I always say, if the British wanted Nigeria back as a colony, would we be able to stop them? As it stands the answer is NO. China and India by contrast would be able to repeal the British today. We should be at their level.. |
Saintp:I know, can you believe that guy. I swear some of these posters are paid by the dullard himself.. Change in fortunes useless yeye man.. |
Ambo was useless... When I saw rubbish piling up due to his stupid visionscape idea I knew he was a clown In truth I am glad he is gone.. |
70 way too old for such a politician. Is it any wonder why Nigeria is out of ideas..? |
Poor elephants, Nigerians especially the Northern Kind care little for your existence.. Lets hope this amazing creatures survive so future generations may see them |
DavidEsq:Such amazing creatures and all you want to do is eat them... Mtchew mumu |
MiddleDimension:Exactly.... |
Who cares, men dont waste your time on ladies... If you work hard and become successful. No matter your flaws watch them come to you.. |
