omG ![]() Anyway since there is no serious issue to discuss here in NL this comes quite handy. hardly do I have to read and re-read posts like this. Just damm hilarious. & I have had to watch the video up to 3 times now. ![]() |
Katsumoto:One might not be sure of the guy in blue shirt, but if you listen very well to the guy in white, you cannot mistake his thick Igbo accent - "You are provoking me". am 100% sure he is Igbo. |
frosbel:I think so too. May be the guy they avoid trouble wey go involve police, him fit no get papers. |
Good thinking, but I want actions. Also however they want to go about this privatization, they should avoid monopoly in every area as much as possible. |
hahahahahaha. lol ![]() |
ohmigod:1st I would like to say that it is not every Nigeria family that is against interracial marriages, some are opened to it. But then, I also know that up till date a good number of white families too will not accept anything in black skin no matter the content of his character. And if you ask me, the hatred was caused by your folks, am glad you used Martin Luther's words, so I guess you know some of the history. Keep admiring Nigerian men, some day, you might just find one that is open enough and find you wonderful enough to put the golden question across. |
Nayah:Nayah if you love him and you believe he is right for you (has most of the qualities you want in a man), say YES to his proposal. |
Wallie:I agree with your list with different percentages and order. (my order: 1 - Religion, 2 - Personalty, 3 - Beauty, 4 - Nationality. Number of previous partners doesn't matter to me if the personalty is excellent.) |
I honestly dont think he is mad or insane. He is just a crusader and overly passionate about his crusade. Also he is a unique character who has a funny way of expressing his views and he is funnier with his dry sense of humor (eg. his April fool thread) We must also agree that a lot of times he backs up his points with facts and figures. Yes, his written-english is worse than many of us, but that is not enough to label him mad. |
Ujujoan:from many experiences. I live outside Nigeria. Ujujoan:I would have love to know your reasons why people marry, but I dont want us to derail the topic. . . may be next time. For me I will only marry an exceptionally good person i know, from those am surrounded with, preferably from my country/tribe else I choose from other tribe/country. Ujujoan:I agree with you, but not totally. it is not peculiar to Nigerians, there are many other nationals worse than Nigerians, like Ethiopians, Arabs, Indians, Pakistanis even the Chincos (Chinese) etc. but the fact is, things are changing by the day and many who embrace these changes are not regretting it. Ujujoan:possibility yes, but not in most cases. |
Ujujoan:Uju, naturaly, everyone will prefer to marry someone from his/her country if possible from his/her tribe. But sometimes you come accross some exceptionaly very good, loving and open people who are not from your country/tribe, you will not just because they are not from your country/tribe prefer just any one from your country/tribe to them simply because they are from your country/tribe, especially if you are educated enough to know that marriage will work or fail not just because you marry someone from your country/tribe. Ujujoan:not exactly, many of those marriages do work! ![]() |
interesting! ![]() |
Orikinla:You self dey try. Why having a Nigerian, American and German girlfriends at the same time? (for comparison experiment?) @topic. Today many Nigerians are more liberal to marrying non Nigerian. There are many Nigerians around me here who are married to non-Nigerian and not for papers. It depends on the individuals concerned. Marriages will work or fail not necessarily because they marry across the globe, but because of the personalties involved. I have seen some of these across the globe marriages broke down and I have seen many of them lasting more and stronger than the Nigerian-Nigerian marriages |
Becomerich! oh Becomericha!! ![]() Words failed me to talk about this Nairaland legend. oh BecomeRich!!! |
^^^ Very Good analysis. But I dont think many people here believe Jonathan has solved all the power problems. People are only acknowledging the improvements they have seen. anyone who believes Jonathan will solve all the power problem in a year is only dreaming. what I think majority appreciate is the commitment he is putting into it and like he said we should be able to measure the progress. |
isuomo:exactly. I dont believe the story. The story lost more credibility when I read this: Top on the list of those who have reached out to Babangida, most of the time subtly, are a former President of the Senate, Chief Ken Nnamani; a former Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Peter Odili; Sylva; the Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole; former Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Bola Tinubu; and the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Barrister Godswill Akpabio.I doubt most sincerely that Ken Nnamani, Adams Oshiomole and Tinubu will lobby IBB to be VP. Don't think the story is worth any consideration. |
@moderator nice decision! sticking this topic. it is a must read for people planning to invest in Nigeria. Not to discourage but to prepare them for the likely challenges they may face and for them to be well prepared. Also those who have concrete solutions to some or any of the problems can share them. |
whenever am upset about anything, I look for becomerich recent posts . . . it works like magic, I'll have to start laughing out LOUD. ![]() |
frosbel:I feel your pains frosbel. same thing happened to a friend of mine. It's such a shame. The reputation these bad elements are given us is terrible. I got mad with an immigration officer recently who almost tore my passport because he wanted to be sure the visas are genuine. as much as I was mad with him, I was more with those who created such suspicion for us. I always introduce myself as a Nigerian (yes, I get the cold responses when i do that and a red flag raised) but am always on a mission to prove the point that not all Nigerians are fraudulent. Honestly I agree with u, we have a lot of image shaking off to do. |
kosovo:where is IBB in your list? any list of corrupt people without IBB as no 1 or 2 is not authentic. btw, intel just reaching me from satelite pictures confirmed that you just bought some properties in Dubai, can u confirm the source of the fund pls? ![]() |
the man is just shameless and to think he wanted to be president. i have a baby sister who is 13, God knows i will personally snuff out life out of any man who will attempt such a shameful act on her |

I guess this is the publisher (Kalu) and Ibori handiwork. Who cares? Rubbish! |
Time will tell. . . But I prefer action than speeches or promises, guess we have had overdose of those. If we have to wait for the blueprint, how long are we going to wait for the implementation. |
I like him, really wish he has a chance in Nigeria |
freshera:think so too. Why cant NANS at the national level protest? They have been 'settled' I guess. May be the settlement has not reached Oyo NANS. |
Nigeria Journalism at its worse. Nonsense! |
