This man must be confused. We dont need an interpreter or a linguistic to help us understand your answer below. Que: Don’t you think it is time to allow the younger generations take over from you the older ones as it happened in America and other parts of the world?
IBB: Honestly, it is our wish that God will bring the younger people that will take over from us if they are available. I was the one who introduced the politics of new breed in this country.
Que: Why didn’t you step aside and give the younger generation a chance to lead since they are fresh and strong.
IBB: Because we have seen signs that they are not capable of leading this country and so we feel we should help them. May be they are not given the proper education that is why. I have spent 17 years since I left office. Haba! The younger generation is supposed to be in charge by now. You can no longer dribble us as you used to do. We know better. Nonsense. |

Ujujoan: I'm sorry I can't confirm that. There's no improvement of any sort. thanks. Kobojunkie: Lol . . . I doubt there has been much improvement. I just got off the phone with home and was told the light has still not come back on for the day, and it is not really better per say. I won't really expect a miracle now since it was only a couple of weeks ago( about 2 or 3) that the man declared this "emergency" type thing on electricity. Right after that he went off to the US, i read. I say, probably in 3 months, we go see how far, but as for Jakumo's, he will need to tell us exactly where one can go to experience this 24/7 miracle! ROFLMAO!! let's wait for Jakumo to come and take us to the Miracle land. . . Just hope he has not signed out his wife yet |

Yes, he has declared a state of emergency and yes, he is working on putting together his team and all for to work with him on improving the situation, and yes he has promised things will change in 6 months, but last I called home, it is still the same old 10 hrs a week in my area. Well i read somewhere (if true I dont know) that he has addressed the issue of lack of gas supply to most the generating outlets and this has improved and stabilized the power supply. Some people actually claimed that power supply has improved. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-418292.0.htmlBut if the situation has improved or not, let those who live in Nigeria confirm. |

Arkison: Agreed. But what can you say about his performance during Obj, where, the security of this country degenerate to a level never know before. What is his role in: the invasion of the Nigerian army in Odi, ZakiBiam, Jalingo etc. What did he not do in the Jos crises from 2001 till 2007? What is role in the Sharia related violences that erupted from his hometown Gusau. We need to review the state of the security situation under his watch before he can be considered a security guru.
My own feelings he is a dangerous man. He has been responsible or involved in the Nations security for a number of years and he has nothing to show as success other than his 3Stars as general ok, let's leave Gusau's security performance debate till another time. I am not a security expert, but just to say quickly that there must be something about his security intelligence that has made him well sought-for, for that position by most of the administrations since IBB regime. May be some of the excesses you quoted were not his but that of Obj, it is one thing to advice and another thing to take advice. I was only commenting on the fact that he has no blame on Mutallab mission. |
Politics › Re: CBN Intervention Damaging Economy, Says Gusau by OAM4J: 4:23pm On Apr 19, 2010 |
Arkison: He wasn't the NSA, but Mutallab inform him first about his fears. He didn't act on his insticts to have to boy brought back by Nigerian intelligence agencies, rather he referred to Baba Mutallab to American Embassy, which was unforturnately also manned by low level intelligent officials. The father had no knowledge of the exact whereabout of the son at the time he was seeking for advice. The best advice Gusau could give at the moment was to advice the father to inform the embassy. Today that singular advice followed was the only credible thing for the nation in the whole saga. |

adconline: Do you want to critisize consrtuctively or are you just going to attack his person? Me I still dont seen anything wrong in what he said
I wonder what's constructive about his statement. What credibility does this man have to criticize Sanusi? Under his watch, a lot of Nigerians had been killed because of his lack of vision. He has consistently failed to see the signs of violence in Niaja. Here is a man whose office was responsible when Mutallab Sr informed them that his son, Abdul Mutallab was on a suicide mission, he did nothing with his authority, now he's coming off to you an eminent economist even though he has clearly failed in his capacity as the Chief Security Informant. I doubt you know Gusau. He was not yet the NSA during Mutallab mission. |

he inherited banks with bleak futures, took over an economy with a galloping interest rate, took over an ailing economy in short
pls, do a quick recap of the indices and lets see if the economy is worse off
maybe, losing confidence = not been able to launder money through bank CEOs
irresponsible lot and wtf did Remi Babalola do while in office? These are chaps i know very well. They did nothing
im not saying Sanusi is 100% ok but hey, hes got to do this or else, we'll suffer later. His approaches and methods might be faulty, what the FG needs to do is work with him and make their concerns known through the Daggash, Babalola and othe knowledgeable professionals in the govt and not making spurious remarks that wont do nothn.
for months, i can do bizniz knowing fully well, the dollar will not gyrate beyond 148-151 circa, wtf are these guys talking about? they wanna bring back round triping, authority stealing in the banks? hell no The bold is exactly the problem and the reason for the no confidence vote. I just dont agree with his reasons for supporting IBB and I think he should know better.

Nonsense, Not a single impressive answer. trueword: Que: Nigeria is facing a lot of problems, if by the grace of God; you become the president again, what are these new things you never did in the past that you will want to employ in tackling these problems.
IBB: God in His infinite mercy gave me the leadership of this country for 8 years…. Remember the Nigerian people have not changed, and since they have not changed, we are in a position to tell them that we can do it again.
Que: If by the grace of God, you become the president what new thing will you do which you did not do during your eight years in power. Which are the mistakes you would want to correct?
IBB: The politicians are asking me what I forgot in the Presidential Villa that I want to go and pick. When I left power, the naira was N22 to the dollar. Petrol was selling at 70 kobo per litre. So there are things that I did that will make me come back. Anybody supporting this clueless guy must be dumb. Twice he was asked what he has to offer, twice he dribbled himself out of the answer. IBB has nothing to offer. |

1st of all, you have to admit to yourself that you fail the 1st elementary principle of doing business. You can spend from your profit but you dont spend from your capital.
If you were not making enough profit when he was asking you if you dont have money on you, you should have told him then. And when you started spending your capital, you should have let him know.
Now you have to plead for his understanding and admit you also made 'business' mistake by spending your capital. |

another one.
I went to pick my friend (white guy) from the airport, on our way back he released a loud fart (very explosive) and all he said was ‘sorry’, I could not wind down the car windows because it was freezing cold outside. I had to absorb every bit of that corrosive odour. About 15 minutes after he released another one; it’s the type that keeps sounding like an SMG – pra – pa – pa – pra – pa. It was too much for me, I screamed; ‘won fi se e ni’ (meaning – are you under a curse). . . all the car four windows came down in 3 secs. Till today the guy is still asking me for the meaning of 'won fi se e ni' |
