Madam Oby has been under the sun and under the rain for countless number of days fighting for kidnapped girls to be released; she's been teargased, she's been manhandled, she's been brutalised, she's even been made to visit Sambisa forest all because of her advocacy for the release of kidnapped girls and she has definitely achieved some results even its just the releasw of Aisha as you loosely put it.

Now let me remind you, that woman is almost 60 and she is an ordinary Nigerian just like you and nobody pays her for what she does. Madam Oby is just one person and there are over 180 million other Nigerians; so the real questions you should be asking yourself are as follows:

Are you disabled?...
Are you paralised?...
What about your own mother and other women in your family? Are you all paralised or deaf or dumb that you cannot go and protest for the release of Leah?
Is it a crime if you and your own family members go and protest?
Must you all sit behind keyboards and wait for 1 person (madam Oby) to do everything for you?

You nailed it there. This project is more of a win-win situation for China but same cannot be said for Nigerian.

They will exploit our natural resources, use skilled labourers from China and use unskilled labourers from Nigeria, who they will maltreat and our labour law cannot defend.

The project is actually a welcomed development but out leaders have to be smart in such bilateral ties/agreement to avoid becoming economic slaves to China.

You're very right about this, the only reason these deals usually end up being detrimental to Africa is cos we have lousy leaders. Besides even negotiating a good deal at the start, its very possible to still payback these loans in record time and avoid undue interest payments because these are capital projects that should actually generate great income. But once again, the lousiness of leaders who prefer political welfarism, would turn these projects to liabilities instead of income creating assets.

1. There's currently no gas pipeline to the north, any initiative to help utilise Nigeria's gas, improve industralisation and reduce gas flaring/wasting is a welcome development.

2. China will reap mega profits from interests; nothing goes for nothing. Remember again that for most of these projects, the cash loaned cash isnt given, rather the agreement is that a Chinese company takes the contract to execute the project. It also ensures them easy access to exploit Africa's resources, just like the western world had done in time past. In conclusion, China gains massively and we also gain (because we cant fund ourselves). But if our leaders are smart enough to payback quickly, we can avoid being enslaved; but you know how African leaders are.

Since I was born, both the Nigerian military, police, government spokespersons etc have always lied about official casualty figures. It's a know fact that if the police (or whoever in government) tells you there were XX number of casualties, the typical thing is to multiply that number by a suitable factor to arrive at the true figure of casualties. If Buhari wins in 2019, there would be loud sounds of weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth from certain sections of the country. Likewise in another section of the country, there would be wild ecstatic jubilation.

In the middle ground however, a lot of people would show no outward reactions at all. They would just leave a subtle sigh of frustration and then move on peacefully with the mindset that there's no hope for Nigeria ever being great. These group of people already envisage the outcome of the 2019 elections and arent going to bother themselves one bit about it.

Finally, in the camps where there would be wailing, there would be an explosion of agitations, but this time without proper coordination; several individuals would want to be the 'hero', so there would be multiple groups which would end up neutralizing each other. Eventually the agitations would end before it even starts because the sadness would be so great, people would get weakened easily and would just let things slide whilst they wait for 2023 when the 'enemy' would eventually leave.

I mentioned it earlier to you that just as GEJ met something (i.e. a project approval on paper), PMB also met something which was also an approval on paper. It is now incumbent on you and your folks to prove to us that something was done outside the paper approval. The report you quoted only mentioned that a budget was approved; it didnt mention anywhere that the funds were released and neither did it say any bit of the project was started. In Nigeria, it is very typical for budgets to be approved but zero funds released eventually due to paucity of funds; the same scenario played out under OBJ. I do not believe you are ignorant of this, I'm very sure you're just being mischievous.

One thing you should understand is that railway projects are massive projects any day. They are usually divided in phases.

Second phase of Lagos - Ibadan Railway project was conducted under GEJ. Buhari is completing a phase of the project and suddenly wants to lay claim to the entire project?

A project which was not conceived by GEJ's government and of which GEJ's government didnt invest a kobo on it, so how exactly does anyone go about opening threads like this ascribing ownership of the project to GEJ?... If the author of this piece had even tagged it an OBJ's project, it would have made some sense seeing that the concept of the modern standard gauge rails were properly developed under OBJ.

All these die hard Jonathanians and their "it is GEJ's project" tantrums, I just wonder when the ridiculous after-death sycophancy will end. Maybe one day we'd be told GEJ invented the air we breathe.

YES you are right! if another pastor does same for the opposition (or even for an APC candidate), I would definitely say it's tithe money. But Pastor Bakare isn't the same thing as the 'others', he has a reputations which precedes him. He isnt your typical Nigerian pentecostal pastor who goes around dwelling on tithe and seed collection. He's even known to be a controversial pastor for this particular reason due to his constant scathing attacks on other Nigerian pastors which has kept him ostracised. This is actually public knowledge for anyone who cares to know, so its just laughable that you choose to lump him in the same category with others because you dont agree with him politically.

You don't know a single fact about Bakare. You claimed he was a rich man before becoming a pastor, that he owned a cargo airline.

Now read this... Bakare read law in Unilag between 1977 to 1980. He was called to bar in 1981, and went for NYSC afterward, and later joined Gani Fawehinmi Chambers. In 1984, he established his own chamber. In 1988, he was called into the ministry. In 1989, he founded the Latter Rain Assembly.

He never owned a large scale poultry farm, let alone a cargo airline.

What businesses is he involved with now?

Where did he get the N160million to borrow El -Rufai?

Where did he expect El-Rufai to get the money to pay back?

How would he have gotten back his money if El -Rufai had lost the election?
