The amount of funny and twisted stories one reads daily in Nigeria's social media space is just alarming. Very soon even the popular policeman 'Abba Kyari' would also be called Brigadier General |
Watched the video but still can't connect the dots, how exactly is that gesture 'prostrating'? |
Threads like this will make the usual suspects completely lock Osinbajo up the moment Bubu returns. |
While we all acknowledge the FACT that Nigerian policemen can be untrained brutal monsters, you can't fault the Shogunle guy in his twitter challenge; no one, not even a single person could produce a single video that fits his description. But as usual, all you get is emotional responses with several people throwing insults! |

Nigeria is just in trouble... What's the point in holding elections if the election is going to be bought by the highest bidder? |
waveman2:Where do you stay in Europe?... I'd really love to know where the train service is cheaper than the bus... And please cut this your childish "local champion" crap already. |
waveman2:Cab you say?... lol... Even average primary school pupils know that a private car charter service would ordinarily be more expensive than taking public facilities such as buses or trains. Does everything have to be spelt out to you?... abi you be chudren? Common sense should have told you that I wasn't referring to private services such as a chartered cab. |
Gamesmart:He's watched too many indian and Bangladesh movies. That's probably where most Nigerians get that idea from that trains should be poverty alleviation liability schemes run by government to cater for the poor and downtrodden. ![]()

diliekene:Haha... Just the exact mindset I was talking about. But I'm sorry you are wrong! Now let's analyse this, a train is faster, more comfortable and safer than cars. Trains and railway systems are also far more expensive to maintain than cars and road. So bro, what exactly is the logic behind this expectation that trains should be cheaper than cars or buses? Apparently many do not know that rail transport is more expensive than road transport in developed countries. As an extreme (bizarre) example, it cost more to catch the train from London to Edinburgh in the UK than to catch a flight which gets you there in a tiny fraction of the time. A bus for that same journey gets you there at twice the time but 1-tenth of the cost of the train ticket. In a nutshell, modern trains aren't cheaper in the developed world. MODERN trains are not meant to be 'poverty alleviation schemes', we just watch too many indian movies where you see old rickety trains with the poor sitting on the roof, that I believe is where we mostly draw this idea from that trains should be for the poor. |
faithfull18:Trains aren't necessarily meant to be cheap. They allow for faster, safer, more comfortable transportation. I wonder why so many people just have the mindset that trains should be cheap |
waveman2:Trains are faster, safe, more comfortable and more luxurious. Trains are not meant to be cheaper; they aren't cheaper anywhere in the world (except maybe we're advocating for those Bangladesh trains were passengers sit atop). |
Babyforever: HAH:That project started since the days of OBJ and El Rufai. |
Youngadvocate:For a nation that celebrates fraudsters and drug dealers with street carnivals, why should anyone be surprised when other nationalities thread cautiously? Even as a Nigerian myself, I fear fellow Nigerians in business; so I guess that also makes me racist. |
FarahAideed:You have very unique comprehension skills |
And we keep wondering why every embassy globally gives that green Nigerian passport a unique treatment.... Shame! |
potterdon:The real road of course is still a mess, but I've never seen or read anywhere where anyone claimed the road has been fixed (except of course in 2014/2015 prior to elections when pictures like the one I posted earlier were being circulated). The only thing I know currently which is on record is that work is ongoing on some sections courtesy of funds from the sukuk bond. |
phase1:First of all, you must be a very dull imp to even remotely think I was the one who originally posted the picture in my last post.; I was obviously exposing the propaganda of your ilk who claimed GEJ had in 2014, transformed the Onitsha-Enugu road and posting fake pictures of works done by Obiano inside Onitsha/Awka. Obviously your dull brain read my post but was too weak to comprehend it, so you jumped on it shouting "propaganda" and using filthy words which best describe you and you folks (zombie). Regarding works on the road, it is on record that some works are ongoing on that road courtesy of the SUKUK fund (I don't need to show you pictures, you can google it). I did well to mention in my last post that the works were slow, nowhere did I or anyone whatsoever mention or allude that the road was completed or anywhere near complete. But of course, only a slow brain again wouldn't have read or understood that; you posted a picture of a bad portion of the road claiming it's the general status of the entire road. If only you had a sound and bright brain again, you would have figured out that I already pointed that out in my previous post when I sarcastically teased those who said GEJ had fixed the road and when I said the current work on the road was very slow. So much for lazy brained youths who litter Nigeria's cyberspace calling people dullards and zombies; whereas their own skulls is full of akpala okuko. |
Juliusmalema:But wasn't this road also completed and "totally transformed" by the last administration sometime in 2014?? (see one of the GEJtill2019 praise singing threads below). I'm a bit confused at how Buhari and Fashola are now the ones being blamed as the liars for saying they are working on the road (when indeed, work is ongoing on the said road as claimed). Meanwhile you stated that "Buhari will never touch the road", but that is either ignorance at play, or just a case of intentional self deceit to promote a certain narrative; the fact is that construction work is ongoing on parts of that road (albeit slow paced like everywhere else). https://www.nairaland.com/2065852/onitsha-enugu-road-looking-brand-new backto sender: |
"My ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian" - Goodluck JonathanWhile many who supported PMB in 2015 may be disappointed, a fact is that Jonathan is only missed by those who wanted continuation of his presidency in 2015; he's only missed by Jonathanians. |
Buhari will be blamed... |
tundeayo2020:What's the difference between WASSCE and SSCE?... West Africa?... or do they conduct another type of SSCE which isn't WASSCE? |
Ahhhh... The prof now got balls? |
oshe11:Oh yeah! Same ol line of defence they always come with whenever the madness doesnt favour their own narrative... "I thought Nigerians voted for change." When all these nonsense were happening in the 'other direction', Im sure you must have seen nothing wrong in it? It must have been proper democracy then. But now it's Buhari amd buhari alone that's killing denocracy as if to say wr ever had anything called democracy. Whilst I actually love to see a better and orderly Nigeria where laws work, reading bare faced hypocritical comments like the one I quoted earlier always awakens that carefree side of me which just wants to see the PDP being punished in their own game. But APC has been too disappointing in that game. Nigeria is ruled by 2 unruly parties - that is a fact! As long as the injustice is not to the ordinary Nigeria, but rather amongst themselves, I dont give a damn at this moment. The baboons can destroy themselves for all I care. |
otokx:Those people making those comments actually remember; they arent brain dead. But in order to have what to say, they intentionally feign amnesia. |
NaijaMutant:Exact same script played out by the animals who led us in 2014. Nothing new here. |
Dejavu.... fly fence part 2. APC should really be ashamed, they should quit stealing the PDP's scripts. 4 years is enough to have come up with new jangolova ideas cos the PDP being the master of these sort of acts would already know the antidote. |
About 5 day ago, I read that N150million each was given to senators to impeach Saraki. 2 days ago, another newspaper said N50 million each. Now another source says $1million each. Whatever the case, now is surely a good time to be a 'neutral' Nigerian senator. |
Wtf! ![]() |
anku90:Before 2013, over 75% of APC members today were in the PDP. So what's the big deal about having someone who was in the PDP now being a member of another party?... This animosity and disgust expressed towards Mr Okonkwo, do you have even a tenth of this disgust for the APC members like Saraki, Dino etc who recently switched parties to PDP? |
GaintOfAfrica:What proof do you have that the serial liar and propagandist called Reno is saying the truth?... Can you or Reno provide any evidence that Mr Okonkwo was working for or with GEJ?... And even if he was a member of PDP or was working for GEJ, what's the big deal about that?.... WHen has it become a new thing for Nigerian politicians to switch parties?... Oh I see, this time the switch isn't to your favour... Of course bloody bigots always think anyone who doesn't align with their own ideology is a lunatic. |
