azimibraun:Can you show me some exerpts of his campaign so far? Just provide any videos or pictures as evidence that he's been campaigning. In response, I can provide at least 30 different videos of Sowore organising his #TakeItBack townhall meetings in different states of the federation and also in diaspora, I can also provide youtube video links of Sowore visiting IDP camps, markets, etc in his campaign journey. |
At the moment, Sowore seems to be the only candidate who has been making efforts at campaigning. He's visited most of the states of federation within the last few months and is obviously following a different approach from typical Nigerian political aspirants. Other candidates seem to just be waiting for December to get some endorsement from some political godfathers before they hit the ground running. |
RadicallyBlunt:I totally disagree with you. The bible admonishes us to give freely, whatever amount we make out in our hearts; and it's when we give freely that God accepts our offerings. In the middle of a service, if I make out in my heart that I want to give N500, but I have only a N1000 note, what exactly is wrong in asking the ushers to kindly provide a change of N500 when I pass on my offering?... How exactly does this amount to dishonouring God?... If I should give the full N1000 when in my heart I only intended to give N500, that money is already wasted and not an offering to God as I didnt give it willingly. Why must Nigerians force down strange religious rules and statutes to make everything about Christianity more complex than it should be?... why do we feel that by engaging in these traditions of self righteousness we are pleasing God more? By the way, that your analogy in the first paragraph is just utterly ridiculous; your physical cash is no longer your money the moment it leaves your hand, so why should anyone be bothered about what happens to the specific Naira note they drop in church?... |
itspzpics:Transporting petroleum products via trains is even pointless; I doubt if that's what's been transported by those trains in the video posted. The sane way to transport petroleum products is via pipelines to fuel depots in different regions of the country, from where it would then be distributed to filling stations by the normal tanker trucks we know. A fact is that even in the most developed countries, the tanker trucks can't really be eliminated from the distribution chain; the best thing reasonable governments do is to limit the movement of the hazardous trucks to the middle of the night, typically 12-6am when people are asleep and off the road. The sad thing about Nigeria though is that in the recent past, we actually followed the sensible approach in distributing petroleum products. But these days, I imagine most fuel depots around the country are dead, pipelines are now dilapidated due to age, poor maintenance and constant vandalism, and the petroleum products we consume in the country now comes from the Apapa wharf instead of our refineries which already have the infrastructure to distribute products via installed pipelines. |
Plateau state is just an absurd theatre... |

Hanseel1:Under DPP, Ogboru defeated Uduaghan in 2007; the power of money only came into play at the courts and Uduaghan bribed the case to death. But that was with a poor Ogboru in a poor impactless party which had zero structures on ground. Like I mentioned before, the only thing stopping Ogboru from giving Okowa nightmares in the next election is Otega; Otega seems to be the pioneer of APC in the state and still has a governorship ambition. If Ogboru nonetheless clinches the ticket and gets the support of the few apc moneybags in the state, then Okowa might just be in trouble. By the way, Okowa is from Agbor. |
Hanseel1:Considering the way the Urhobos and many ordinary Deltans on the streets have always lined up behind Ogboru in past elections, having in mind the kind of results he's managed to pull even when running under uninfluential parties, with Ogboru finally getting sense by joining a bigger party, if he manages to clinch APC's ticket, coupled with the support of some APC money-miss-road guys in Delta like the Akulagba (Ayiri) and co, Okowa might be in for a battle in 2019 with or without Ibori. In that part of the country, money is the main thing needed to win elections, the only reason Uduaghan was declared winner by the courts in 2007 and 2011 was because Ogboru was a poor man mingling with a poor crowd (weak political parties). Ibori may be influential and highly respected, but the times have passed him behind in terms of physical cash; he's currently not as financially influential as even some small money-miss-roads in the state, and money is definitely needed to win elections in Delta state. |
NOETHNICITY:CAN is meant to be an umbrella body overseeing the interest of Christians in Nigeria and as such, CAN shouts out when the killings are inter-religious; e.g. when Christians are being persecuted and killed by persons of other religions. The clash being discussed has nothing to do with religion, so I'm lost at why you're so concerned about CAN not speaking. What about MURIC or the Sultan of Sokoto speaking about it too? |
revolt:Lol.. if Apc mistakenly wins delta, in less than 1 week, 90% of PDP will switch.. Such is the politics in DT. ![]() By the way, that ur opinion get as e be.. Haba! |
NOETHNICITY: GavelSlam:Lol.. The clash wasn't inter-religious, so why/what exactly do you guys expect CAN to speak of? |
AZeD1:Lol.. you're asking core Jonathanian wailers that question?... lol... Anyone who didnt lick the balls of their oga is automatically APC and v6 extension, a sworn enemy |
bryner:The chief Jonathanian loser wailing again... Even when loved ones die, I dont imagine Reno cries this long... |
kelvine:The sad and irritating thing about the current trend of online begging is that the real people who need help aren't the ones flooding social media with their trade. |
julioralph:Lol... I never inferred anywhere that I had a god anywhere... But I wouldnt bother you further to provide an explanation for the gibberish you wrote earlier about "Oby being used and dumped", there's no point expecting a sensible answer from you because the motive behind that comment is well known....You're obviously just another pained fellow pouring out the typically meaningless invectives on madam Oby for being an activist who didnt lick the balls of your idol in 2015. Such pathetic losers you guys are, even 3 years after. |
julioralph:Sharrap there! Only bleedy Jonathanians reason in the manner you just did. What on earth do you mean by Oby Ezekwesili being used and dumped by APC?... Did she tell you she was seeking an appointment from anybody?... What is wrong with a woman speaking out her mind and advocating openly for the same thing sensible Nigerians hide behind keyboards to advocate for everyday?... ANd then you have the guts to insult her for that?... How does any normal person explain that nonsense? Like I said before, only sore Jonathanian losers who have refused to get over their 2015 loss see the noble activism and advocacy of Madam Oby as ploy to win political favours or appointment; reason why you lot keep spewing the pointless "used and dumped by APC" crap everywhere you go. |
julioralph:Typical Jonathanian reasoning...... everybody who didnt support their god is an agent of ApC. |
KAHBOOM: ![]() I swear, after reading this comment, me sef I confuse. |
eyeview:JONATHANIANS! Get over it bro, Jonathan is gone and won't come back. |
GavelSlam:The Fulani nation has once again proven itself to be insensitive usurping blood suckers, and lovers of blood suckers. The fact that not a single prominent Fulani leader has ever come out to vehemently condemn the killer herdsmen, but instead always find a way to show support and brazenly defend the actions of even their murderous kin, that is pure evidence to the bold statement I made above. Buhari's foolishness in handling this matter, his obvious and brazen reluctance to deal with perpetrators and their sponsors all because of silly clannish attachments has certainly destroyed Buhari's presidency. Like seriously, his government doesnt even as little as make an attempt to hide its biasness in handling this issue; how can any human or leader be that foolish?... Do you know how many pastors have been instantly invited for questioning after calling for people.to defend themselves from murderers?.. But not even a single Fulani leader, not even the ones who come on national TV to claim responsibility and defend the killings have ever been cautioned, let alone arrested. As things stand now, the Fulani nation has declared itself persona non grata; they can never be welcomed by any sensible community. Unfortunately, the only working solution to this crisis is for every community to expel the Fulanis from their lands permanently; they've proven time and time again to be unworthy guests. |
Nigerians that readily and happily dip and roll themselves in pit latrines in the presence of even filthy moneybags are also criticising a prime minister for bowing to a crown prince?.... This same Nigeria where a large part of its population is willing to suckle on the asses of Meanwhile was it not a 90 years old OBj, a military general that was seen lying face down in front of the 40 year old swagger dude of Ife? |
See adult real life sycophants.... |
ClassRep001:Ruggedman is a legend whose name remains engraved in the hall of fame as a major pioneer of meaningful hip-hop/rap in Nigeria. Not everyone is expected to know this though, so there's nothing surprising about this dude's comments on this thread. |
LaudableXX:Do you know the meaning of the word intolerance?... In this argument, you actually think I'm the one being intolerant for positing that people may be allowed to practice their beliefs as long as it doesn't inconvenience others? |
LaudableXX:If you weren't blind yourself, I'm sure you would have noted that the main point in your argument which I picked on was where you kept using the watery example about "hijab not making her a better lawyer" to drive yoir point. Then returning to the main issue at hand, whether hijabs are permitted or not when she picked up the course is inconsequential here, my point and position is very simple; I don't see why it should be a big deal allowing anyone to exercise their personal beliefs by puting on a little head cover beneath their legal wig if that makes them more comfortable. Laws are made for men and not men for laws; laws can also be changed or adjusted with time. Live and let others live, or have we become so bigoted and intolerant to the cultures of others in this country that we feel so disturbed and threatened over how a person far away chooses to wear their wig?... I would definitely have a problem if its a full covering hijab or the ninja type if you like, but what I see in that picture doesnt bother me one bit and I see no reason why that should bother anyone. Now if I must repeat your example, does it make her less of a lawyer if she has a head covering under her wig? |
LaudableXX:Your life does not start and end with being better at your profession, people have other things they do with their lives or things they commit to besides just their profession. So yeah, your statement assuming that her insistence must be about her being better in her profession is a poor attempt at ridiculing her and her beliefs; it remains a pointless question which has no bearing on the issue. |
Mrjaz:I'm not a Muslim, neither am I in support or against anything. But as a human, I understand the principles of 'live and let live'. If a person insists that for whatever reason, they have to put a freakin cap or head cover under their wig, how does that affect my life? how does it affect your life for you to be so bitter about it?.. does it make her a less efficient lawyer?... I will have to repeat the last sentence you made with a bit of disgust, "people are discussing important issues to make their lives and the country a better place, some nonsense set of people are busy worrying themselves over what another individual thousands of kilometres away chooses to put on their hair." Talk of joblesssness and bigotry!! |
LaudableXX:Throughout the whole report and narrative, I haven't heard or read anywhere where it directly or indirectly claimed that wearing a hijab or anything at all will make her or anyone a better lawyer. You say you're just asking right?.. Could you be kind enough to tell us where you picked up that weird idea from to be asking this sort of pointless question? People have personal lives and not everything we do in our lives is geared towards making us better in our profession. Like seriously, what sort of human doesn't know this?

Bayajidda1:Lol.. which one be head-slammer again?... ![]() There's nothing one wouldnt see on this forum. |
enm:The people I quoted claimed Buhari was a fraudulent liar for claiming that presidency budget was reduced whrn in fact, the presidency budget was increased. I simply threw a queztion to them to point out where the president mentioned that presidency budget was reduced. You then responded by saying the president kept quiet about the increase in presidency budget; maybe you should have been more attentive, cos you obviously changed the argument to another issue. If after a robbery and the thief decided to throw some pack over the fence to the police chief and the police chief did nothing about it but take action after the arrest of the thief, is that not damage control? Why didn't he raise alarm when the budget was being debit here and credit here? Do you want me to believe that the presidency have no knowledge of what was happening to the budget in the national assembly? Let assume president Buhari was not aware, why didn't he reject it and return it to them drawing the attention of Nigerian to his worry or complaints? Let assume that for the sake of the economy of the nation he signed the budget, is it fair and just to not make known that of the presidency when he make known that of the national assembly? The president did not ask the NASS to alter the budget, and the president reserves the right to be disappointed by the NASS for adding over 6000 mushroom useless projects to the budget costing over N800billion even whilst they cut out valuable sums from key capital projects. I see your desperation to also ascribe some blame to the president as is always the case in everything in Nigeria, but that attempt is dead on arrival and laughable. Once again, the president did not ask the NASS to add any kobo to presidency's budget. |
Bayajidda1:Oga, I am a Christian.... That explains the level of my 'hypocrisy' and tolerance if that helps you. I'm not in any religious or ethnic contest with anyone. I don't know of any religion which insists on not taking off a fez cap in public. If such a religion exists, and the issue is beginning to be a bother to anyone or group, I see no reason why laws cannot be adjusted to accommodate people especially when it poses no harm or danger to anyone. Live and let others live.. |
I seriously don't understand why this must be an issue we should be dwelling on as a nation. If a person for whatever religious reason insists they must cover their hair, why can't there be flexibility in the legal system? .. Laws are made for men and not men for laws. |

The bigoted and intolerant ones, are people like you who support those that unilaterally try to impose their own desires, wants, beliefs, views and dressing on a profession that has stated clearly, what is permissible and lawful in their dress code.
They create unnecessary and unwanted controversy just to have their way, like Firdaus did.
