Did he get married at 22?.. wow! |
AkpaMgbor:Your brain is obviously the one spewing garbage here; you should go and seek help. The person I quoted acknowledged that the Nigerian military has always been known to lie over casualty figures, but he then went ahead to paint it an APC/Buhari thing. I simply highlighted the ill logic in his conclusion reminding him that this has got nothing to do with the political party as it is an ugly trend which predates the current guys. So for you to have problems with this my comment, it obviously confirms my first sentence above that you need mental help. |
Realname:Oga, your attempt to turn this into a political PDP vs APC matter can be smelt from miles away. Since I was born, both the Nigerian military, police, government spokespersons etc have always lied about official casualty figures. It's a know fact that if the police (or whoever in government) tells you there were XX number of casualties, the typical thing is to multiply that number by a suitable factor to arrive at the true figure of casualties. Your attempt to turn it to an APC thing is duly noted. |
Realname:This same Nigerian army also lied about these same issues under the last PDP government. So ehat exactly has this got to do with APC? |
Politics of overflowing emotions and sentiments; the simple reason why the SE always loses out in the bigger political game. |
Gbam!... Oluwa don answer my guy call! |
This thread is funny I swear. The other day he was caught as Wendell Simlins whilst trying to spread propaganda about SLS being the sponsor of Boko haram. Now oga pastor has multiplied like ebola virus into multiple personalities in nairaland ![]() |
What exactly can this group of apc leaders possibly discuss in China that cannot be discussed behind closed doors in Nigeria?... Is this supposed to be paranoia degenerating to slow reasoning on the part of Timi?... Is this the sort of dumb politics the PDP expects to use in unseating APC? |
The Odidigboigboi of the world himself about to sign up for APC. Wahala dey oo!! ![]() |
If Buhari wins in 2019, there would be loud sounds of weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth from certain sections of the country. Likewise in another section of the country, there would be wild ecstatic jubilation. In the middle ground however, a lot of people would show no outward reactions at all. They would just leave a subtle sigh of frustration and then move on peacefully with the mindset that there's no hope for Nigeria ever being great. These group of people already envisage the outcome of the 2019 elections and arent going to bother themselves one bit about it. Finally, in the camps where there would be wailing, there would be an explosion of agitations, but this time without proper coordination; several individuals would want to be the 'hero', so there would be multiple groups which would end up neutralizing each other. Eventually the agitations would end before it even starts because the sadness would be so great, people would get weakened easily and would just let things slide whilst they wait for 2023 when the 'enemy' would eventually leave. |
naijapips04:Seriously?... For you not to know that there's a clear difference between 'approving funds' and actually 'releasing the funds', you just confirmed that you are either a child or an ignorant adult. But then again, on second thought, I dont believe you are any of the two; you're just another online mischievous political jobber trying to feign ignorance in order to distort facts. You asked me to provide evidence that fund wasnt released; but that's just a lame defense cos you should be the one providing evidence that funds were released and not the other way around.. The simple (but pointless) evidence you seek from me dangles before your very nose, not a single block was dropped at the project site. Since you continue to insist that GEJ released the funds for the project, then I guess the real question should then be, what happened to the funds?... Or was it swallowed as usual in the GEJ/PDP style?... Which contractor was given the contract and why was no work done?... Why did the new govt team have to travel to China several times to secure loans from scratch for the project if GEJ had already released the needed funds to the contractor?... or if GEJ did not release the funds to the contractor, who then was the money released to since you insist that GEJ's govt released funds for the project?.. Dasuki?... Cant you see you keep shooting and sabotaging yourself with this pointless argument? Can you swear with your life that Buhari didn't meet anything on ground?I mentioned it earlier to you that just as GEJ met something (i.e. a project approval on paper), PMB also met something which was also an approval on paper. It is now incumbent on you and your folks to prove to us that something was done outside the paper approval. The report you quoted only mentioned that a budget was approved; it didnt mention anywhere that the funds were released and neither did it say any bit of the project was started. In Nigeria, it is very typical for budgets to be approved but zero funds released eventually due to paucity of funds; the same scenario played out under OBJ. I do not believe you are ignorant of this, I'm very sure you're just being mischievous. |
naijapips04:Do you mean to tell me and the rest of the readers on this forum that you do not know the difference between 'approving' and actually 'releasing' funds meant for a project? Would this be the first time you've heard of a government 'approving' a budget for a project but eventually not releasing a dime for it due to paucity of funds?.... Did OBJ not also 'approve' funds for these projects when they were initially conceived (and then GEJ came in and re-evaluated and re-approved)? So why exactly did you and your thread not give any credit to OBJ? Oga quit this ridiculous argument please. In a project's lifecycle especially in Nigeria, 'approving' a budget amount means nothing. Can you swear with your life that Buhari met nothing on ground as to regarding that rail system? With regards to the title and narrative of this your thread, can you swear with your life that GEJ met nothing on ground with respect to the rail modernisation project?.... Was it not the same paperwork and paper approvals which GEJ received from OBJ that PMB also received from GEJ?... so how exactly is it now GEJs project and not OBJ's since you claim that paper approvals matter? Quit being a mischievous political jobber; or at least of you must, try and be smart about it. |
naijapips04:I thought I missed it the first time, but upon the second read, I still couldnt see where the report pointed out that previous governments released any funding for the new standard gauge railway project. Maybe you could be kind enough to highlight the part of the report where that was mentioned. |
naijapips04:@Op A project which was not conceived by GEJ's government and of which GEJ's government didnt invest a kobo on it, so how exactly does anyone go about opening threads like this ascribing ownership of the project to GEJ?... If the author of this piece had even tagged it an OBJ's project, it would have made some sense seeing that the concept of the modern standard gauge rails were properly developed under OBJ. All these die hard Jonathanians and their "it is GEJ's project" tantrums, I just wonder when the ridiculous after-death sycophancy will end. Maybe one day we'd be told GEJ invented the air we breathe. |
Even the blind can see this so called investigative report for what it is; just another very lame propaganda by the dead party of thieves (PDP) to scavenge the votes they think Moghalu has been able to gather. |
PurplePatch:Can you please explain how the FG is disallowing a seaport in Calabar?... Ive heard this theory for too long without any explanation. |
tinsel:Okay so castigating him would have been pleasing to you right?... Sorry boy, everyone can't buy into what you like. You don't own the world. Peace! |
wirinet:Okay maybe he didnt have N160 million (or it's equivalent) when he started his ministry, but are you saying today that he cant muster up N160 million withiout dipping his hands into church funds?... Is tjat what your argument is? |
Adekdammy:YES you are right! if another pastor does same for the opposition (or even for an APC candidate), I would definitely say it's tithe money. But Pastor Bakare isn't the same thing as the 'others', he has a reputations which precedes him. He isnt your typical Nigerian pentecostal pastor who goes around dwelling on tithe and seed collection. He's even known to be a controversial pastor for this particular reason due to his constant scathing attacks on other Nigerian pastors which has kept him ostracised. This is actually public knowledge for anyone who cares to know, so its just laughable that you choose to lump him in the same category with others because you dont agree with him politically. |
Like I keep asking, what really is the essence of LGA elections in Nigeria if the party of the emperor of the state always wins 100%? |
matrix199: wirinet: Adekdammy:Okay sorry guys, I obviously don't know him as much as you guys do. He was probably a pauper before he started his church business and irrespective of whatever other business or businesses he has going for him currently, he would never still be able to afford N16million, let alone N160 without dipping his hands into his church's purse. I rest my case! |
Adekdammy:So what exactly is the truth?.. That Bakare was a poor man before ministry 'business'?... or that if he closes his church today, he doesn't have enough thriving businesses through which he can easily raise N160million? |
matrix199:Obviously your opinion about him is based purely on personal contempt and not based on any form of objectivity whatsoever. Little wonder you attacked me because I didn't buy into the narrative you tried to sell.. You asked where Bakare got N160 million from. I gave you a simple answer to the question you asked. And then you return accusing me of DEFENDING him?... Dince when did it become a crime to answer a question? You simply just expected everyone to share your views without questions. When you asked the question, you asked with no intentions of obtaining an answer and were obviously disappointed when an answer came. Learn to be emotionally mature man! I put it to you again, Bakare was a rich man even before he ventured into ministry and even currently as a pastor, he still runs different businesses which can still sustain his status as a rich man (who can easily raise N160m) even if his chuexh closes today. Your contempt for him cannot change that fact. And if you think that by airing this simple fact, it automatically means I am DEFENDING someone, so be it; I am defending truth. |
matrix199:Bakare isnt your usual pentecostal tithe swallowing merchant. From the little I know of him, he's always been a very rich man who at some point in the 80s/90s even had a cargo airline; and that was before he became a pastor. |
SadiqBabaSani:Lol... the kind of 'shorthand' you used throughout this post, how exactly is this supposed to be fanciful or how exactly does this make writing faster? |
christopher123:Besides Air Peace which started yesterday, Aero in addition to being about Nigeria's oldest surviving airline, has always been the airline with the second largest fleet. |
RexTramadol1:There's nothing cruder than your lame attempt at comparing Nigeria with developed countries where things 'are expected' to work. I simply pointed out why this particular issue is news worthy. The Nigerian government is known to always be ineffective; so on this one, there's absolutely nothing crude or unusual about anyone being surprised or impressed that a Nigerian government can actually respond and take action on anything this quickly. |
christopher123:I hope say na play you dey play shaa.. but there's some kind of play that shouldnt be played in the anonymous public. |
christopher123:What kind of human reasons like this or says this sort of nonsense?... The biggest airlines in Nigeria (Arik and AERO) are owned by who exactly?... These are the sort of ignorant statements and repulsive mentalities that drive hatred against the Igbo nation. |
God help us! |
teelaw4life:The reason why this is news worthy is very obvious; anyone who is Nigerian knows the typical reaction time of the Nigerian government to complaints like this can be from months to years. But this one happened within 24-48 hours. |
Auxtin85:Oga are you sure you know the meaning of the word 'hypocrite' which you just freely used?.... Also, next time, try and read the report first; if you did, you wouldn't have made this comment. Lastly, it is "IT'S" not "IS". |
