The only reason they seem to be after her is because she's fighting them as they carry out their duties.

Billions have been recovered from different people, but I dont remember Mariam Abacha for instance going to court to fight government over the seizure of petty change like $15million discovered in one of their clandestine accounts.

I mean there's a reason why these leaders use fronts to carry out their illicit transactions/acquisitions. The reason being that if the accounts are discovered by authorities, they can easily dissociate themselves. But when one of Mama Peace's anonymous accounts was busted, instead of maintaining her anonymousity, she came out openly to claim the funds in the account.

I know you would argue that she made the $15million legally...

Yes it will help so that what happened in Niger state will not happen in other parts of the country. With the separation, the students now have choices legally.
Are you sure you understand the context of the problem?.... Under the old arrangement, it was compulsory to offer either CRK or IRK. Under the current update, it is still compulsory to offer RNV (either as CRK or IRK). So how exactly does reverting to the old system help that Christian student in Niger state that was forced to study IRK?

Let me inform you that prof. Ruquat was the minister then.

Equally, south west states have irk teachers.

What we are clamouring for is let religious studies be separated. Can that be too much to ask. If not, it will boomerang
Going through the points raised by the Op, the main issue is that in some northern states like Niger (where there aren't enough CRK teachers), Christian students have on some occasions been forced to learn IRK.

I'm not too sure I understand how separating CRK and IRK is supposed to solve the above problem.

But more than 1 million was in Aba as of May 30th 2015.
Tell me again if he gained such Followership just few weeks after elections.

Those of us who have been IPOB members since Nov 2014, knew it was only a matter of time. I registered this moniker on 8th of April 2015.
I and others did not wake up one day to do IPOB cos GEJ lost election.
Come sef, wasn't it Nnamdi Kanu that said GEJ would loose election by 2 million vote deficit. It is on record he said it.
Under GEJ, DSS arrested this same man and released him, the same DSS visited Nnamdi Kanu's father before elections. All these are on record.

Just say it the way it is, the man spoke the truth which endeared him to people, despite him saying some nasty things against christainity, his Christain followers haven't abandoned him for one day, the numbers keep swelling.

Buhari goofed on Nnamdi Kanu, same way he goofed on Niger Delta issue.
Bro, there's really no need for this dilly-dallying, Kanu had been there since early 2014 (possibly 2013), preaching exactly the same sermon about Biafra. Of course he had few followers prior to 2015, but the fact is that his followership grew at an astounding geometric rate from the moment GEJ made that call to congratulate Buhari.

You said you registered on the 8th of April 2015 and that is exactly what I'm saying; that was barely a week after the election results were announced and it was at a time when plenty still bore very heavy hearts. Ipob rally of May 30th was 2 months after the sad events of the election, within those 2 months, that was when he received the first real media attention and his followership soared at an unbelievable rate. He received a heroes welcome at the May 30th 2015 event in Aba, but was that the case in May 30th 2014? of course not.

Was he not there before Buhari in his wicked self thought it wise to arrest him and refuse to release him, after which two competent courts off law pronounced that he should be released unconditionally.

Just accept Buhari goofed on this one.
The only reason he was arrested was because post-2015 elections, his followership grew at an astounding rate (thanks to the influx of millions of angry Jonathanians who refused to accept election results). Due to his exploded followership, his voice became louder, his messages became popular, he became known by all, and he became a threat to the government of the day. That was the reason the government reacted. Had it been that he gained the kind of influence he gained post-2015 election before 2015, even the peaceful GEJ wouldn't have folded his arms.
PoliticsRe: Re:Nnamdi Kanu Ordered Biafrans To Boycott 2015 Presidential Election by obailala(m): 10:23am On Jul 06, 2017
Only thing exposed by this thread is that N.Kanu had been preaching his sermons long before 2015, but absolutely no one spared him a single regard; not until GEJ lost a certain election, and then Kanu instantly became a G-O-D.
PoliticsRe: What Happened On AIT Kakaaki, The African Voice, Yesterday...am Still Shocked by obailala(m): 10:15am On Jul 06, 2017
Youngadvocate:
This is not meant to incite, but to spur our minds to articulate the thought that lie therein.

I was part of the viewing audience of the Kakaaki, The African Voice anchored by both Saliamatu Ibrahim and Adora Onyechere, on African Independent Television, AIT, yesterday, July 4.

Since the programme had a talking point drafted to address the quagmire the country is gradually sliding into, I showed interest.

I had relaxed to follow the discussion led by the two anchors and three invited discussants, two Elder-statesmen from the North and one Professor of Banking and Finance from Michael Okpara University. unfortunately the power was interrupted.

By the time the power was restored, the programme had neared conclusion.

At the time, Saliamatu threw a question to one of the Northern Elders and I quote"...some say the North is afraid of Restructuring. Why is the North afraid of Restructuring?

He answered "...north what!...how can we be afraid of restructuring when we have Boko Haram?"

I have ever since sought to give this proper interpretation, but the more I try, the deeper I was thrown into limbo as to reconciling the sensitivity of the speech. And my wonder has been, was it a slip of tongue? Or an expression of reality.

Even Saliamatu sort of wore a countenance that looked bemoaned by the comment and wanted to seek further clarification before she was signaled to round-off.

My intent is to bring this to fore. I know many tuned into the programme and did hear the comment. And those who didn't could make use of AIT 'a social media platforms to verify.

Am I the only one who was struck by that statement? Or am I being over sensitive with a mindset conditioned by the current political happenings?

Let us discuss this Nigerians!!
I think your mind has been completely twisted by the continuous divisive narratives of those political losers who are hell bent on destroying the country. If that wasn't the case, I'm sure you wouldn't have been left confused by the simple statement made by the man on TV. Reading the statement with an open mind, this is what I could interpret from it:
He answered "...north what!...how can we be afraid of restructuring when we have a bigger Boko Haram to worry about?"

I think the efforts of those desperate to tear the country apart is truly paying off (kudos to them), else simple statements like the above shouldn't need to be analysed this much.

32 SHIPS LADEN WITH PETROLEUM PRODUCTS, FOOD ITEMS, TO ARRIVE LAGOS PORTS
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/07/32-ships-laden-with-petroleum-products.html

Thirty two ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from July 5 to July 18.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos.
NPA said that the ships contained bulk wheat, fertiliser, corn, sugar, frozen fish, lubrication oil, general cargo, steel products, petrol and containers laden with goods.
NAN reports that six ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with bulk wheat, fertilizer, ethanol, and petrol.
NAN reports that 22 other ships are at the ports discharging bulk wheat, corn, fertiliser, gas, charcoal, Brazilian cane, diesel, frozen fish, general cargo, and containers. (NAN)

peaceful protest isn't cordial?

asking for referendum isn't cordial?

or maybe shooting unarmed protesters is cordial abi?

disrupting a commemoration gathering is peaceful okwaya?

Or maybe of course to you being cordial means keeping quiet when others insult and call us all sort of unprintable names, and them when we give it back them in equal measure they come up with all sorts of nonsense talk about insulting them.

To start with, Nigeria is likened to a zoo because of it's lawlessness and disregard for the rule of law, and for those who hold that assertion, isnt it a statement of FACT too?

Even while still in Nigeria, things are being deliberately made difficult for Igbos, so no one is expecting things to be any smoother when Igbos secede, and yes it is expected that things will be tad difficult at the beginning. However, know it that both parties will feel the brunt if there's a secession- FACT.

Whatever makes you think the situation will be more difficult than post 1970 when igbos were left with virtually nothing and rallied back to be the envied force economically, and you think survival in 2017 will be more difficult than then? Point is this: Igbos have seen worse, and whatever happens if Biafra secedes today cannot be worse (not even as bad) as it was in 1970, FACT!

And yes, blame not those who chose to insult the man cos he just spoke like a true Nigerian politician just to curry favour of his party and their supporters, nothing unusual about a Nigerian politician being insulted...its normal

Good day!
Oh yes! peaceful demonstrations and sit at home orders is all you can see and remember right? I'm sure you were blind to all the hate messages that characterised the rise and rise of IPOB especially post 2015 elections? I'm sure you are blind to all the thousands of insults and threats to Nigeria and Nigerians (and even to Igbos who dared to think differently from the ipob ideology) which even occurs up till now (kindly go on social media pages and read comments since you claim to be blind). I recently watched an old clip of the unthinkable insults directly from the 'director' when he labelled all who attend churches headed by Yorubas as imbeciles; in his exact words, "anybody attending a church with a Yoruba pastor is an idiot, a complete fool and an iimbecile cos they are worse than boko haram. Any person attending their churches is not fit to be called a human being." Of course, those words to you sound like beautiful compliments which would make the rest of Nigeria be very cordial and courteous to Igbos if there should eventually be a break-up?

Of course Igbos suffered a great deal post-civil war, but the question is, what is the rationale for imposing those conditions on ourselves 50 years later in 2017?... Jonathan lost an election and everyone goes berserk. Every single thing wrong with Nigeria today, and which is suffered by Igbos is also suffered by every other part of Nigeria and it all stems from bad leadership. No single attempt has been made to hold leaders governing Igboland accountable, but all of a sudden, the problem is instantly viewed as 'ndi yoruba and na ndi awusa n'emegbu anyi,' so therefore we must drag ourselves back to 1970 because some people have refused to put on their thinking caps (if they have any) to identify the real problems.
