chiefobdk:Go back and re-read the comment (by the troll Uduak) which I quoted; also do well to check his other posts. |
SANDOSKI:Are you aware that not up to 5% of the state's workforce works for government? |
Uduak2019:Isnt it just the SS oil that feeds the nation (at lease for now)? SW claims to have oil, SE claims full ownership of SS oil, one apari from Jigawa the other day claimed bayelsa oil belongs to Jigawa; and the mumurity continues while the SS watches in amusement. sanandreas: more like bitumen.. ![]() |
mikolo80:Oh yeah right... it's going to take at least 10 years to leave gas and move into other sources... and by then this admin would have been gone, and then the true sponsors of the pipe bombers and their supporters who litter cyberspace would celebrate and be like, "Yaay! Fashola/buhari were unable to fix power in Nigeria just like we said before the elections." The underlying motives driving those excited over these gas pipeline bombings is obvious. The black race is really a sad story. |
NextGovernor:Some time in february this year, power generation peaked at its highest ever of 5074mw. After the announcements, some faceless miscreants probably directed by politicians picked up their dynamite and began a bombing spree and here you are, expecting power to be discussed without giving attention to an obvious full frontal sabotage of the system? Quit deceiving yourself, Nigeria has no security and if any disgruntled miscreant or politician decides that he wants to Bleep Nigeria up, it can easily be done, and that is exactly what is going on presently. Escravos gas pipeline has been bombed more than 3 times within few months, this is the major line taking gas to most power stations. |
According to some educated olodos in Nigeria, a good president should as well study political science. |
greatgod2012:Even Albert Einstein or Thomas Edison can never give Nigeria light under our present circumstances where faceless miscreants bomb gas pipelines going to power stations and idiots applaud them. |
Chaaaiiiii! Lalasticlala has to see this ![]() |
Dayummn ![]() But come to think of it, we may all be the mumus in this matter; what if the person who planted the signpost truly knows what he's talking about? ![]() |
koboko69:Thanks for this well researched piece; if only I had this on Saturday I would have just passed her the link and exposed her ignorance like a boss! ![]() |
Just over the weekend, I was in an argument with a rabid buhari government hater who was so pissed and couldn't fathom what right the government had to ask private businesses not to sack workers they employed themselves; she tagged it pure foolishness on the part of Ngige and the entire FG apparatus. I tried hard to explain how a govt has the right to regulate certain things under labour laws, I even cited some examples from foreign countries and asked what side she was even on (the masses or the banks or just anti-govt). But she wouldn't take any of it, I was hardly even allowed to speak all through the argument and by all Nigerian argument standards, she won the argument based on the sheer volume of words she churned out per second. ![]() Such arguments is typically what you get when people allow sentiments and emotions take over their objectivity. |
Sultanchidi:How long it lasted for isn't the point here, I was simply correcting an erroneous assertion that it was only 'planned.' Fact is that the initiative was actually kick-started in Edo state at least. how long it lasted for or whether it was continued or abandoned by successive governments is story for another day. |
NonFarmPayrol:You obviously live in wonderland. |
GlorifiedTunde:Why is everyone so sure a Trump presidency would destroy the US?... Things are not usually the way they seem. |
fabfunmi:It wasnt only planned, it was actually executed in edo state. Can you really blame a past leader for his successor not continuing his initiative? |
Buhari must be blamed... |
Of course this shouldn't be mandatory for every state to join. |
Txonyi:Very pathetic way for a human to reason! Several people of integrity have served and served very well, they were never killed nor disgraced and can never be killed nor disgraced because their records speak for them; Prof Akunyili is a sound example of such persons who will be remembered for generations. Only shady characters, crooks and societal misfits (and their supporters) are likely to be disgraced. |
DauraDullard0:Ha-ha-ha!.... now you can kindly Bleep off.... While doing that, just a gentle reminder that your gej has lost the election well over a year ago and is never coming back, and the pmb you hate so much is your president at least till 2019. Learn to live with that frustration and stop loosing sleep over political choices of others. Anyone with a functioning brain cell ought to know that we live in a free world. |
HassanTewogbade:What's surprising about this in 2016?... |
reportnaijanews:What are the chances of Nigerian police actually capturing the real suspects after a supposed mob attack? |
Trentonline just reported a similar story but claimed buhari sacked up to 200 mid and senior military officers because they were from the SE and SS and because they supported GEJ during 2015 elections. Who do we believe? |
engineerboat:Is this the first time you are hearing of govt starting works on lagos ibadan road?... If the last admin starts work on it, did OBJ's admin not at some point also do work on the same road?.. after OBJ, how much of the job was completed?.. after the past GEJ admin, how much of work was done on the road?... Once again the present admin has budgeted its largest chunk for this same road and the budget was only approved last month, so what exactly is the big deal about starting works on an abandoned road project?? ![]() |
engineerboat:What about the road? |
Jengem:At least the current FG hasnt boasted of filling anything, we all know they are cash trapped, we all know they inherited a 2015 budget which allocated less than N18bn for roads nationwide, an amount which was largely spent paying off contractor debts for old patched jobs; we also know that they messed up by delaying their budget for 6 months and only got it approved just recently. With their first budget now in place, I have no choice but to sit tight, fold my arms and watch what they do with their budget. That's even if the pipeline bombers which probably glorify will let them get any funds to do anything. Now the big question is, the last FG which had all the money in the world and which boasted of building 25000km of roads in 5 years, abeg where are these 25000km of fixed roads located? ... because all the roads in my vicinity still remain the way they are, except for some minor patches. |
It's a lie! It cant be true.... after all somebody said fashola said that GEJ built 25000km of roads in 5 years; and jonathanian zombies have been masturbating over that fable for as long as I can remember even though none of them can actually point out where these so called 25000km of roads are. |
President Muhammadu Buhari, Thursday transmitted 47 names of Nigerians to the Senate for consideration and approval as Ambassadors to different countries. No south-south!.... Once again, the 3 big tribes share Nigeria... We No Go Gree!!! Okay let the bashing begin.... ![]() |
Nigeria's useless security forces have killed more innocent people than guilty ones... Meanwhile not-too-smart Nigerians are busy blaming political leadership for these killings by our useless untrained security forces. |
Iamdipo:...and you are obviously not aware of the fact that the project was handed over to UMY/GEJ by OBJ? Wake up from your slumber bro and quit these childish "it is GEJ's idea" rants; GEJ is long gone and is no longer the president. What matters is not who 'thinks' about a project, it is he who executes it that matters. By the way, Abacha thought about introducing GSM technology to Nigeria and even made moves in that regard. But do you think it would be sensible to claim that GSM was introduced into Nigeria by Abacha? Just for your info, the Nigerian rail modernisation masterplan has been in existence even before GEJ ever thought of joining PDP. The masterplan was eventually agreed and drawn under OBJ and Julius Berger was awarded a contract in OBJs first tenure to build the first Nigerian standard gauge rail (Warri to Ajaokuta), a project which was completed to 99% before OBJ left office. Furthermore, contracts were also signed by OBJ with the Chinese (CCECC) for the building of the Kaduna to Abuja and Lagos to Kano standard gauge rail lines just before OBJ handed over to UMY; these contracts were cancelled by UMY due to irregularities but GEJ came in and re-awarded the Abuja to Kaduna line which was built to 99% completion before he handed over to PMB. I wonder where you got your own "it is GEJ's idea from," just like most other achievements by GEJ which were purely completion of projects initiatives by his predecessor, governance is all about continuity and what matters most is who executes and not who 'thinks' about an idea. Next time you should do well to do your homework before going public. |
LMFashions:Go back and read the message I quoted. I am not against negotiations, but the reason why it is called negotiations is because both sides have to make compromises. The person I quoted suggested the sack of amaechi, Nddc chair, peterside and Magu (efcc chair) for nda to calm down. And if the govt bows to that 100% then then the govt is as good as useless, because it would only be a matter of time b4 the faceless group starts commanding the president on how to eat and sleep. |
ganisucks:...and if the govt bows to this pressure, by sacking it's ministers, you really think that would be a solution which can stop the problem?... you do not think they would come back with more incredible demands?... you do not think every group in Nigeria would start destroying national assests (including roads, bridges etc) for their own demands to be met? |
