chudionu58: Why are you looking and sounding even more stupid? I've challenged you to name your OWN policies since part of change involves Starting your own in addition to continuing with "good ones"...or don't you have any to tell us? Stop rooster and bulls No you are the one who keeps sounding foolish like a frustrated old 1st wife who desperately wants to win an argument. Buhari promised CHANGE and the last time I checked, this argument was about what the CHANGE really was. I pointed out one clear example being 'the non-implementation of TSA' to 'the implementation of TSA.' But sadly you have been blinded by your own frustration not to to see that I have answered your question hence in desperation, you want to shift the argument to other grounds. Sorry I have other things to do other than running around in your circles. |

chudionu58: Expectedly dumb! can you tell us what APC has done differently? How can you preach change up and down, only to religiously continue with almost all the previous government's policies and projects!! Did Yaradua or Jonathan preach change?? No my friend, I know your brains may have been obliterated completely because of political sentiments to the extent of you not understanding the meaning of simple terms, but once again, may I point it out to you that CHANGE does not mean stopping good policies. No matter how bad or useless a leader is, it does not change the fact that he may have had one or 2 good policies; even the Abachas and Idi Amins of this world had some good policies but that doesn't automatically make them good leaders. A typical example of CHANGE could be the implementation of a good policy like the TSA which the previous admin conceived but were too reluctant to enforce (for obvious reasons). |

tomakint: I still remember this topic well, Abacha started with the promise but was never fulfilled likewise Obasanjo but Jonathan started the total revamping on the Nation's Railing System......now Amaechi is leveraging on Jonathan's effort......history will definitely judge us. Jonathan revamped pre-1960 narrow gauge rail lines and planted trains which take 30-35 hours to travel from Lagos to Kano on them; that's good, but it's obviously not wonderful. The real deal is when standard gauge rail lines are built, kudos to OBJ for building the first standard gauge rail line from Kogi to Delta and kudos to GEJ for building the second standard gauge rail line from Abuja to Kaduna. Hopefully, our leaders would one day take the bull by the horn and build the Lagos-Kano and Lagos-Calabar standard gauge line, that is when we would know we have arrived. By the way, regarding your comment about 'Amaechi leveraging on Jonathan's effort,' some of you jonathanians just need to grow up. Every leader takes off from where their predecessors stop; GEJ leveraged on OBJ's efforts and OBJ leveraged on the efforts of some military leaders before him. So it's only normal and common sense for Amaechi or whoever to take over from where his predecessors stopped (whether he thinks they are good or bad). Leaders are judged based on what they do during their own time. |

If some folks bulldozed her within 4 months of her assuming office like the way you are currently bulldozing madam Kemi, I'm sure you know she wouldn't be recognised anywhere. Enough of these unnecessary bullying, even the world class economist performed very poorly at managing the economy when the oil price crash began. The oil crash is even far worse now but madam Kemi has obviously handled it better than NOI did between Oct 2014 and May 2015. |

seunaj: Well, this writeup to me looks so vague and without adequate facts and figures but more of personal opinion which of course, the writer is entitle to. But let me quote the writer " how many Harvard ex Nigerian Finance Ministers have rescued Nigeria from financial deep?" sorry, u wouldn't even go there. Even ppl that understands economy much more than u, in the likes of Baba Obj clamored for NOI to become Buhari's vice after foreseeing the economic crisis that Nigeria is unfortunately experiencing @ the moment. U can't be objective and underestimate the power of NOI's economy wit. The naira had started falling big time before handing over to the present administration, but people like OP wouldn't understand because it was properly managed by the then finance minister. I am very hopeful that things will change for the better but let someone please inform Kemi on time that she needs to work harder. My apologies but the bolded is a very misinformed argument built on pure conjectures and not fact. When oil prices started crashing, the naira fell from around 160 to 220 between october 2014 and May 2015 even though oil still sold above $60. Nigeria's GDP growth rate also fell from around 6% to 2.3% as at May 2015, that's its lowest ever (since 1999); it has since risen a bit to stabilise a little above 3%. Nigeria's foreign exchange reserves also dropped between october 2014 to May 2015 from about $38.5bn to $28.5bn, that's a catastrophic drop of about $10bn in 7 months; I don't need to remind you that the new economic team has maintained virtually what they inherited till date. Furthermore, in early 2015, the FG/NOI had to borrow over $2bn to pay simple workers' salaries because the govt was cash trapped; they also owed oil marketers their subsidies since Aug 2014. Now all of the above I just mentioned happened when oil still sold above $60 and it all happened under the watch of the much celebrated world economist. I can supply you weblinks to confirm every single thing I just said above. Now with oil selling at $31, half of what it was when NOI handed over, do I need to remind you that every negative thing I pointed out above have been reversed under the neophyte finance minister and the 'inexperienced' economic team (except for the sliding exchange rate which by God's grace would also be checkmated soon)? Enough of all these needless and uninformed hype of NOI, she may be a good economist, but she is not a god. And she obviously did very poorly (worse than the present minister) when the oil crash begun. The only reason you and I didnt notice these failures on time is because at the time, we were all fixated on the 2015 elections, it's not because the failures didnt happen. |

youngies: Senior bros Degwor,
I am writing this to you as 2019 approaches so that you can immediately understand what actions many of us Urhobos wil...l take as regards your candidacy for any political position.
You called me once that you were running for governor. Paul Akpor Abu facilitated the call. I am also aware you are close to my family the Smart Ofugara Hetty Smart-Ofugara etc. That ordinarily would have made me your loyal boy immediately.
However, I wish to state a few things you may have missed in the class where CANDIDACY and REPRESENTATION OF THE URHOBOS AND DELTANS was taught. Mowoe, Salubi and other great Urhobos offered the class. For the Itsekiris, Okotie Eboh and Rewane taught it. For Yorubas, Awolowo was a professor. I see you totally missed the class or flunked it.
The main gist of the lecture is, the major take away is " If you know you want to represent your people as their leader, if you know you will not speak on their behalf, SHUT UP". This is a cardinal rule for anyone wishing to represent his people.
I am surprised that a lawyer of your reputation and knowledge (EFCC bungled cases aside) a small me is the one teaching you representation in a legal system that understands and or is based on GAME THEORY. What this means is, you stand on one side and see that that side gets all the justice it can. Obviously, you may have stood on the side of the Hausa-Fulani, thinking this an APC vs PDP matter instead of "my Urhobo brother's daughter has been taken away from him to a place he cannot even access her. How can I reunite him and his daughter How can I lead? How can I be of help? How can I use my vast knowledge to settle this thing amicably? You Keyamo never thought in this line.
No seriously bros Keyamo, so for a minute you did not think this man is your constituency and deserves your help to get his daughter back? So you did not think to use your influence and closeness to APC hierarchy to call Sansi and say "boss, this thing is embarrassing you. Let the girl go". As a politician, you did not reason that this was a time to shine, where you are the one at the police station bringing the girl out and reuniting her with her father. Do you know the photo opportunity and the mileage that would have been for your political career?
What did you do instead bros, you talked like someone with zero political ambition, or like a hired Sanusi and Yinusa's lawyer. You said that a man whose minor was taken to a diffrent region, state, culture and religion, one that will forever divorce the man and his daughter, you said he should marry off the daughter by getting together with the parents of the abductor and MARRY HER OFF.
You see a big weight like the Emir of Kano fighting little Mr Oruru and you take the side of Emir Sanusi to kick your Urhobo brother as he lay supine on the floor, begging for his minor...his daughter. You as a potential representative of his tribe, you step on his brocus instead by saying that taking his daughter away to live in Kano with the Emir is "pranks".
Obiageli Ezekwesili, Ben Murray Bruce and so many others not Urhobo are screaming for justice for little Mr Oruru, but you Keyamo kick him in the gonads.
I am sure Sanusi and Buhari are clapping for you. well done
As for me Ena Ofugara, I can never trust you to represent Urhobos in my life ever ever ever again. If a man can lose his daughter to the Emir of Kano and you consider such loss of a minor "PRANKS" and you advise that the man should marry the girl off, bros, for what it is worth I WILL NEVER SUPPORT YOU AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF MY PEOPLE. I and those I can influence will never ever ever ever support you in this life or the next. This betrayal is just too much to bear. If you cannot stand with an Urhobo man in a case so clear, when will you ever stand with one?
Bros, I no put water for mouth talk am. Me and anyone close to me will never support you. I rather go bring Kano man as Urhobo representative cos na the same end result e go be.
Not Yours very very sincerely,

vfactor: Done reasoning with you. By the way, look up the word assumption. And see the examples given. There's actually no point reasoning with you because the hardest person to wake is the one who feigns sleep; you are obviously feigning ignorance on this one so as to have what to say. But if you aren't, then there's a problem. - The shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line. - A straight line between town 'A' and town 'B' has the same length either in air or on land; it is a straight line. - Similarly, a person running at 100km/hour is going at the same speed as a car moving at 100km/hour. Even a person with a marginally low IQ should know the above. You are obviously trying to be too smart by twisting the question to claim you cannot have a straight line between 2 towns. But that is not what this is about, this argument simply says, ASSUME there is a straight line; and ASSUMPTIONS could be made when the circumstances of the narrative are infeasible. So I have no idea what you are yapping about the credibility/validity of assumptions; it's a freaking assumption and not reality. |

Even if we agree he wrote a letter to the AIG requesting her transfer whatever happened to following up the case to ensure that she is safely returned since agust 2014?. The first thing a sane man would is to ask that idoit whether he sought the permision of her parent and even get him arrested. So assuming the girl was 18 Emir sanusi would grant the sharia recommendation without her parent approval? To think this was a former CBN governor with all his exposure leaves little to be desired. They way these people think is just disturbing. A very religious country yet morally depraved. The worst is the president silence to salient national issues, very indifferent and absent minded it makes one wonder if he is the president of the moon or Nigeria. We are so divided along many lines that I wonder what we did to luggard to warrant this unholy union. you guys should better watch your gateman n all these nigeriens doing menial jobs in Lagos and other parts of the south to prevent stories that touch. Politics › Re: Ese Oruru, Emir Sanusi Clears The Air And Tells Us Precisely - Article By FFK by obailala(m): 7:11am On Mar 02, 2016 |
inkon: I wouldn't say that Sanusi is a paedophile because I've got no proof.
Now let's view this issue from a different prism. Some furtive strangers were spotted and suddenly a teenage girl disappeared. After gales of outcry she was found hidden in the palace of a supposed royal father.
Isn't it logical to think that the said royal father knows something about the abduction? Why his palace?
Secondly, when Arase reneged on his oath of office, why must it take Sanusi's approval to release the teenager if truly he had nothing to protect? And, by the way, who is shielding the abductors?
I think we should call a spade a spade. I have no words for the so-called human right activists because I know, they are only speaking the tone of the pockets. Some were even trying to hype her age just to justify this taboo. That is sickening. It's not a matter of PDP or APC, this is a nakedd truth staring at us.
So let's be mindful of what we say or who we support because there is a God watching us. It's Ese today, it can be anybody tomorrow. It's good you know there is really no real evidence to confirm Sanusi's involvement so until it can be proven, it would just be plain silly to conclude that Sanusi was aware. As a king I doubt you would know the mission and story of every individual that walks into you palace gates let alone your kingdom. Different stories have been peddled, one of which is that the first time (last year) that SLS got wind of the case, he gave an order and dispatched a letter asking the girl to be sent released. A copy of the letter was even produced. Second time he got wind of this, he wondered why the case had not been concluded and reordered that the girl be released. Now a new twist has been brought up by FFK which states that the boy abducted the girl on behalf of SLS; and this is said to be what the boy told the girl's mum in order to discourage her from making any attempts to come retrieve her daughter. The big question is, even though we are aware of the strange appetite of 'some' of these northerners for underaged girls, how can we be so sure this is the truth?... Couldn't this just be a fabricated story by the abductor to discourage the girl's mum or to save his neck?.... If SLS with his status wanted a little girl to satisfy his paedophile lust, did he really have to go all the way to bayelsa to kidnap the 13 year old daughter of a poor food vendor?.... These are questions running through my mind but obviously, I wasnt surprised it was FFK who brought up this strange twist into the saga. I wasnt also surprised at over a hundred comments of purely jonathanians who concluded instantly that it was true, turned it to politics, exonerated the abductor, called for Sanusi's head instead and labelled it an APC thing. If you go to FFK's facebook page, you will see exactly what I mean. |

This story keeps getting confusing by the day. After reading numerous comments on facebook now, I can see a lot of people have turned this matter into a systematic PDP vs APC matter. What has Sanusi got to do with this matter?... FFK seems hell bent on placing this on Sanusi's head even though all other narratives do not really point in that direction. Also, a lot of jonathanians on facebook dont even care if a culprit called Yinusa exists, they seem to have all leaned towards the FFK narrative which puts the blame solely on Sanusi.
