Politics › Re: Buhari's 'Loyalists': Eat Your Cake And Stop Criticizing Mr President!!! by obailala(m): 3:28pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
Rapmoney: I could still remember vividly how so many persons, especially, on this forum, were seriously campaigning for the emergence of Buhari as the executive president of Nigeria before the elections! One thing that amazed me then, was the alarming number of young people, even those that were not even born as at 1983 when Buhari became a military head of state, seriously saying of sort of 'sweet things' about this man!!! I was amazed because most of these young people knew little or nothing about this man and his people-unfriendly policies from 1983 to 1985 before his infamous government was toppled!
A short while after the inuaguration of Buhari as the president, the APC led administration, in their usual deceptive manner, swayed many Nigerians and brainwashed them absolutely by giving them false hopes that their lives were about to 'change' economically and otherwise!
Power supply was tactfully boosted in the process of further deceiving the people. I know how many persons right on this forum that didn't allow us to breathe with the chanting of 'change'!!! To me, it seems these folks were actually chanting 'chains, chains', all along without knowing.
When the present administration commenced their window-dressing fight against corruption, hands were raised to the sky again, with the shouts of praises for Muhammadu Buhari. The chants of 'chains' which came in disguise of 'change' was high again!
Fast forward to the present...what are we experiencing presently if not pains and frustration from this government of 'chains'
A box of matches costs 20 Naira now!
Egg is now sold for 40 Naira!
The price of pure water has sky-rocketed!
Supply of electricity is disgraceful as it no longer epileptic...now, we don't even see the light!
Transportation fare has doubled!
There is no fuel in our filling stations!
The prices of foodstuffs have gone beyond the comprehension of the common man!
Insulgents are still ravaging the North-Eastern part of Nigeria while the government claims they have succeeded in defeating BH!!!
The rate of unemployment is increasing and the Naira/Dollar rate has made many businesses to shrink!
People now buy fuel with their generators in filling stations (something that was unheard of)
People like Dino Melaye, who instigated violent riots against the former president for trying to remove fuel subsidy now drive foreign cars while our so-called youths who were brain-washed to fight an irrelevant course would still make silly statements like 'Wow, nice car' when they see such cars posted on forums like Nairaland!
Sometimes, I just wonder why Nigerian youths go to school!!! I only sympathize with my fellow Nigerians who saw the 'chains' in the 'change'. For those that voted or supported this government, it is too late to cry when the head is off! You are reaping what you sow; I just feel for the innocent people whose economic well-being you have helped to jeopardize!!!
You cannot start complaining and criticizing Buhari when you know fully well that you are part of the architectural team that constructed this undesired government.
They say a people truly deserve the type of leaders they get. He who brings ants-ridden woods into is house should not complain when lizards start paying him visits! Eat your bitter cake so that you can rid yourself off the spirit of being gullible!!! Wailing over and over again like a broken cord, why don't you go revert oil prices to profitability and restore the forex reserves in the CBN?.... Na Buhari do am.. congrats on your wisdom. |

Originalsly: Great idea if we intend moving backwards. ...foolish idea if we are moving forward.Pencil was good business when the world was a paper world. The world has long been moving to paperless world.... sooo many pencil manufacturers have long gone out of business.... the world has long been trying to conserve forests .... and here we are planning to go backwards and shouting great development. What next?...a VCD plant?....afterall...many people still play VCD'S and it would create jobs. 3 Facts... 1. Pencils are still used all over the world, they are not going extinct any time soon. 2. Nigeria still uses a lot of pencils and it is disheartening to note that we import them all. 3. If Nigeria can start producing pencils (for local use and for export), it is a good thing. No amount of smart analysis of yours can negate these 3 commonsensical facts above. Similarly, when the case of building coal power plants to stop the over-reliance on gas is brought up, some smart-asses oppose such an idea claiming that coal isn't a clean power source. The fact remains that, we have a major power problem in Nigeria, over-reliance on gas isnt helping us (especially when you consider the recurring sabotage of pipelines), we need to diversify our source of power and no matter how unclean coal might be, it still produces over 40% of the world's power supply and will continue to do so for at least the next 50 years. We can't continue to outsmart ourselves. |

"I am Igbo" clowns like Abagworo and obailala can you provide us an answer in the spirit "one Nigeria"? Bro, just like Abagworo has mentioned to you, APC is not Hausa-Yoruba and PDP is not Igbo. Whether you agree or not, is your freakin business; it's a free world and everyone has a right to support whichever political candidate they deem fit. That an Igbo man supports an Hausa candidate over an Ijaw candidate (who most of his tribesmen support), that doesn't make such a man anti-east; he only expresses his freedom and any pained loser who thinks otherwise needs to have their heads checked for virus. |

emiwanlee: This guy started the hatred for jonathsn by saying there was money missing which was a lie. We did not know that he was paving way for a complete animal to become president for tribalistic reasons. Bleedy Jonathanian wailer.... Audit of NNPC is still ongoing. The first partial (scam) audit which was done under Jonathan confirmed that about $1.4billion wasn't remitted by NNPC. The audit report also confirmed that the auditors couldn't account for up to $18bn because they were barred from CBN and NPDC books. So even a kid knows that SLS wasn't lying about accounting irregularities. Furthermore, the alarm raised by SLS wasn't meant to implicate Jonathan but rather to draw his attention to irregularities. It was purely the cluelessness and paranoia of GEJ and his Jonathanian army that made it eventually look like it was an attack on Jonathan. When a leader is told that there are some financial irregularities in one of the government agencies, a sensible/smart leader simply calls for an investigation to douse public tension; in the Nigerian case, we all know these kind of investigations never end until the public forgets. But in the case of Jonathan, his first response was to scream "no money is missing," thereby making it look like he was being accused of pocketing the money. The cluelessness of his response and his continuous defensive stance on the matter (instead of an investigative stance) is what implicated him, not SLS. |

Samsung's now onto the S7 and S7 Edge which are top ranked too. It is really incredible, but you don't have to take my word for it, tests have been done...
1) http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/test-centre/mobile-phone/best-phone-camera-of-2016-3612824/ 2) http://www.techradar.com/us/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/best-camera-phone-6-handsets-tested-904250 3) http://smartphones.specout.com/ 4) http://www.cnet.com/topics/phones/best-phones/camera/ 5) http://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-phone-cameras,review-2272.html 6) http://lowdown.carphonewarehouse.com/news/the-5-best-camera-phones/30136/ 7) https://www.ephotozine.com/article/top-10-best-camera-phones-for-photography-2015-23050
The reason I say this is because I'm into photography, I own two phones, a droid and an iphone so I am objective about it all. I also have multiple professional style cameras, and I do photo editing, so I can notice certain things. Furthermore, the front facing camera (for selfies, etc or photos without flash and low lighting) is exquisite. I saw it firsthand myself, and it bothered me my phones failed in comparison.
There is a crispness that the S6 phones have that I haven't seen on other phones at all. I would always suggest to people that take a lot of photos with their phones to get the Samsungs because the camera quality is an extreme value-add. You are spot on... I use an S5 but recently tested the camera on an S6 and was shocked at the picture quality. I might just be upgrading to an S7 pretty soon (hoping it's camera would beat the S6). |

anonimi: FACTS are sacred. Lies cannot cover them forever. Ask the 36 state governors how the reserve was emptied.
Without having to dig much into your facts, a cursory look at your gdp growth rate chart speaks volumes of how Nigeria's gdp growth rate which was averaging between 6-7% was crashed to 2.35% before the carcass was handed over to PMB. Secondly, the nation's reserves were crashed quickly from $38billion to $28billion within the last 6 months of GEJ. PMB has been managing to maintain it between that $27-28billion for the past 9 months, hence mainly the naira suffers cos no buffers (forex reserves) were left. Thirdly, you accuse APC of playing the blame game even with these glaring facts, yet you are here blaming the governors for daring to ask for their share of ECA. Meanwhile these governors were mainly the same PDP governors and they took only 45% of the entire ECA. So please tell me, what did FG do with it's 65% giant share amounting to over $11billion??... should I also ask the 36 governors how the FG squandered its share? |

Jonathanians scrambling to claim one meaningless award saying it was GEJ's efforts that eliminated the disease. They forget the fight to kick polio out of Nigeria has been on full gear even before GEJ dreamt of being president. The funny part is, when you remind them of how GEJ's efforts at lootocracy in irresponsible financial management plunged us to the very sorry economic state we presently find ourselves, they either choose to heap the blame on Buhari alone or they start accusing everyone of blame game. Bunch of confused plebs still thinking election is next week Congrats to Bubu for receiving this award for Nigeria! |

I'm not in support of unnecessary harassment, however we Nigerians seem addicted to impunity, and I've come across Nigerians that consistently employ all sorts of tricks to avoid paying for their train tickets.
All of this of course is based on your premise that he was arrested as a result of an unpaid fare.
We need to learn to obey laws. From his yellings, he mentioned something like "all because of penalty fare." I'm not in support of circumventing the system, but jumping on trains without a valid ticket is something people do everyday and this is absolutely not the treatment they get when caught.
