Lol... Nigeria is such a wonderful place; a theatre of the absurd! Supporters of a candidate battling with parkinsons disease and an onset of dementia actually have the guts to analyse the interviews of other candidates and tag them unintelligent?

The candidate you support, doesn't even have the mental or physical capacity to attend a single interview but you think its wise to insult others?

Well, maybe my data isn't updated, but during my uni days, UNIZIK was the only school that regularly never joined ASUU strikes. People I knew who attended UNIZIK then all had very smooth academic runs (4 years was 4 years for them). I cant beat my chest and say I know what happened after 2007.

Peter Obi is clueless.

The flooding itself has become a source of campaign for Obi outside of his own state.
Even if Obi just breathes, he would be hailed by Obidients. I clearly see why this frustrates the BATists who end up calling it 'campaign' and insulting Obi. No be una fault!

The parents must be sending excess money to him for him to have extra to rent plane.

May God have mercy on your soul and punish your parents for stealing our money and making many Nigerian's hopeless.
It cost less than $300 per hour; anyone can rent a single engine cessna plane from their basic hustle wage.

Renting a propeller plane shouldn't even cost up to $300 per hour. Any comfortable person (even students) can afford that trip.

lol! Funny u!
didnt i need to start asking how we owe them? If google aint working the one bubu borrowed from them is enough to give a view to what naija owes. N for ur info about america n china borrow issues i dont think u know how many biz and sky scrapers most of d debt have been converted into,as at now china understand they are in shit with the stuffs btw them because if they Bleep up they dere head in the yankees armpit! US are way ahead of every advance country with 10yrs GAP!
Lol.. information is power my friend. Next time stop assuming you know something even before you've actually done your research on it. You talked about google, but I doubt you've even bothered googling any info on this topic cos you probably believe the rumours, beer parlour gists, hearsays and assumptions you've made are sufficient and reliable sources of info.

Nigwria currently owes China just $3.64 billion (which is just an insignificant portion of our total debt of $103 billion). An actual google search to the DMO site can save you the embarassment of relying on hearsays and beautiful assumptions. The majority of funds Bubu 'planned' to borrow from China still remain as 'plans' that have not materialised, and that may never materialise before he even leaves office; even GEJ borrowed more from China than Bubu.

Lastly, regarding the police stations, the point being made is that the stations have nothing to do with debts to China. Canada does not owe China a dime (China actually owes Canada), but 3 stations were set up in Toronto.

It is so funny some nigerians are saying it is fake news!
God! Why are we so dumbed like this? So u expect china to accept they did it? Surely they will deny it but it is in the agreement signed by our govt and them when they borrow us money! They will bring their criminals overhere to work and if they misbehave they will lock them up in there own cells not ours! Go check out all other african countries that borrowed money from them, they all have chinese police stations there! I have seen it in zambia, angola, malawi, south africa own is worst because they now have chinese guys in there police force arresting and beating up there citizens. Don't dull urself china get plans down 15yrs ahead of us.
Theomarvelus:
Only outreach service strategy to take over nigeria... the truth will soon unfold between you and your debtor
The USA is the biggest debtor to China; they owe China almost $1 trillion. Bi wonder China also set up 1 police station in New York city in preparation to take over the US. Infact they also set up 3 stations in Canada just incase the American president wants to japa through the border.

For real, all of you saying China will take over Nigeria cos of debt, do you even have the slightest clue how much Nigeria owes China?

PoliticsRe: China Opens Police Station In Nigeria by obailala(m): 6:12pm On Oct 19, 2022
voidUpdate:
Oh. Wow. Just 5%.

But why do you think China is building police stations in Nigeria? It just doesn't make sense to me.

We're supposed to be building oil wells, if we're in so much debt.
GreatVocalist:
His question paraphrased:

What else could be the reason for them opening a station in Nigeria?
Whatever their reason is for opening the station, China isn't taking over Nigeria any time soon based on our debt to them because contrary to what so many people erroneously believe, Nigeria's current debt to China is insignificant in the grand scheme of things."

Again, out of Nigeria's total debt stock of ~$103 billion, only ~$3.6 billion of that amount is owed to China, of which we have between 10-20 years to pay it off. $3.6 billion is an amount which even a rich state like Lagos can pay off given the reasonably long term of the loan.

Nigeria currently has a serious debt problem, but China isnt who we should be worried about if you study the figures given.

Meanwhile the stations which China opened in Nigeria were also opened in about 110 countries, across Europe and even in the US and Canada. The US currently owes China about a trillion dollars (yeah you read that right); apparently China wants to take over the US and Canada too? grin

PoliticsRe: The Origin Of The Battle Between El-Rufai And Peter Obi. by obailala(m): 2:00pm On Oct 19, 2022
Roger3D:
Peter Obi actually said this
Well, Peter Obi told journalists that Nasir El-Rufai has no business in Anambra and that he shouldn't be there. He said that he cannot go to monitor an election in Katsina and therefore, El-Rufai has no business being in Anambra.
Then Obi should never step foot in Katsina since he has no business there either. He should also know that he is a clown who doesn't know that Elrufai is from Zaria, Kaduna state and not Katsina.

Now does Peter Obi have the right to determine whether a Nigerian citizen has the right to be at any given place in the country or does the constitution?
Forget all thie talk about how it was ordered from Abuja. It was ordered by Obi himself.
Now if Elrufai decides to violate the constitution and pay him back in his own coin Ibos will run the internet wild.

Thumbs up to Nasir for being the bigger man.
May Obi lose and lose he will
There is a difference between saying "a citizen doesnt have the right to be in another state" and "a citizen doesnt have the right to be roaming about in another state on an election day". The last time I checked, even indigenes of the state do not have the right to move about on election days.

Nigeria is owing the GDP of another smaller nation as loan collected from China.
voidUpdate:
The borrower is *slave* to the lender
Nigeria may eventually become a slave to the lender, but that lender is definitely not China.

Out of Nigeria's total debt stock of $103.31 billion (N42.84 trillion) as at June 30, 2022, the amount owed to China is less than $4 billion, i.e. less than 5% of our total debt stock ...even Lagos state can pay that off easily. The people saying Nigeria would be taken over by China because of debt obviously do not know this fact. It's clearly not the debt to China we should be worried about.

It gets more and more irritating when I hear people regurgitate this ignorance about "China taking over Nigeria cos of loan".

How much is Nigeria owing China in total to elicit this paranoia?

Sometimes I feel this paranoia is fuelled by dubious politicians who prefer Nigeria to borrow from the World bank and co. so they can loot the funds; obviously the Chinese loans are the best performing loans cos politicians cant steal from them.

2015 we were shouting change due to how we got tired of Jonathan government recklessness, at least one of the recklessness I’m sure most of us will remember was the approval of several billions of Naira for the purchase of cooking stove, ecofriendly cooking stove they said and that stove till date nobody saw it but money disappeared. Another, in the name of employment former minister under Jonathan Patrick Abba Moro extorted Nigerians nationwide with many stadiums in Nigeria filled up to capacity and with stamped killing many people and yet there was no disciplinary action on him but rather he ended the regime with Jonathan, these and many more made us to consider Buhari’s fake change agender with scrutinizing him properly. Here we are again shouting obedient without scrutiny.
I think we should be wise and scrutinize all the candidate without any sentiments
For instance, Mr. Peter Obi owns Next Cash and carry in Abuja, where several household items and one of the best breads are sold, the shop got burnt last December 2021 due to negligence and lack of employing other tribes other than Ibo’s and Muslims,
Next Cash and Carry was under lock and keys on boxing day and this is because other faith like Muslims are not employed there, otherwise why should a shop with perishable items and gift items that are highly needed by customers during the festive period as such will be under lock and key. A man who wants to fix a badly damaged country like Nigeria, who does not think of the well being of his employees, his small business partners and those whom their livelihood is directly and indirectly connected to his, all of them are hopeless displaced now as Peter Obi till date has not started any form of rebuilding the shop, no single sign at least to give the displaced people hope that business will be back again soon or the good customers who patronize the shop. Abeggy charity begins at home jor
Lol... This fellow must have smoked colorado brain poison before typing this heap of nonsenseness.

First of all, Obi has since resigned from the board/management of NEXT. Secondly, where did you get the bizarre idea that NEXT was under lock and key because of boxing day? Fire was reported to start around 6am and you somehow believe the reason it wasn't open was because Obi didnt employ Muslims?

And then you proceed to criticise Obi for not rebuilding NEXT under 1 year to re-employ the staff?....

If I may ask, @Austino50, how old are you?

Why is Obi and Obidients easily cozying up to Gen Eneche while demonizing APC, Buhari & Tinubu?.. It's only means Obi is an hypocrite. Gen Eneche was yesterday a devil but turned an Angel the moment he joined labour party.
Same Obidients saying they're tired of old establishment, are today wagging their tails whenever Obi flungs around OBJ and IBB. Even Obi himself is part and parcel of the the establishment with some baggage hanging around his neck.
The last time I checked, it was Mr Peter Obi contesting for presidency, not Gen Enenche, not IBB and not OBJ.

It doesnt matter who helps Mr Obi ascend to the office. If you were in a crashing aircraft without a pilot and there happened to be a skilled pilot amongst the passengers, in such dire situation, would you concern yourself with the faces of persons helping clear the way for the new pilot to reach the cockpit? Is that wisdom or foolishness?

Even in the Bible, God used a Persian King (Cyrus the Great) to liberate the Jews from Babylonian captivity. I guess if you were there at the time, you would have opted to remain a slave in captivity because the person who God used to break the chains off your neck wasn't a saint? Is that the brand of wisdom you want me to subscribe to?
