....Never in my life have I heard of or seen any leadership that has made more excuses and laid more blames than what we have in Nigeria presently. The greatest invention of the GEJ administration is the politics of blame blame and blame. Every single thing no matter how disconnected or irrelevant has to be blamed on the opposition. Even a 5 years old child in Nigeria knows our armed forces are brutal and would readily assault innocent civilians at the slightest opportunity; if it is not police accidental discharge, it is military brutality and everyone knows this. Instead of the government to devise a smarter cover up response to the US allegations of military brutality, they have quickly attributed it to the opposition too. I would assume the carnage in Odi and Odioma and even the recent show of shame by some soldiers in Lagos burning BRT buses and beating up civilians was also a made up story "put about by rivals of President Goodluck Jonathan" ![]() How did our national leadership condescend to this level? ![]() |

kasiem:What I am saying is that Rochas is a nobody who presently occupies no national seat. If he chooses to be irresponsible, that is strictly his business. However, you cannot say the same of the man Jonathan who is presently the president, c in c and chief security officer of the entire nation. A certain sense of responsibility is mandatorily expected of a person who occupies the exalted position of the president. It is understandable that so much effort and resources have been put into the declaration activities of today but at least a short address by someone who calls himself the president is expected when national tragedies occur. |
APContherun:Is Rochas the commander in chief of the Nigerian armed forces? Is Rochas the chief security officer of the nation? Is Rochas the one elected to the exalted office by Nigerians to ensure their security? So why should I as a Nigerian be concerned about the actions of Rochas as it concerns national security even when I have no contract or agreement or links with him? If Rochas was the president and chief security officer of Nigeria, then your comparison would have been valid.. |
Ukutsgp:well, i value my common sense and sense of judgement more than any tribal allegiance. Jonathan is an incompetent administrator with poor intellectual ability and it does not require much wisdom to spot his deficiencies. I would be doing my intelligence a great disservice by endorsing his leadership abilities or declaring open support for a sheer piece of incompetence... ...and may I add, if supporting Jona is the new yardstick for measuring Igboness, then I'm sorry, I'll pass... #AnythingButGEJ |
With the blind and nonsensical support Igbos have shown to Jonathan even at the expense of common sense and decorum in most cases, I doubt any other tribe can ever allow us rule Nigeria. Maybe an igbo son can rule when/if we eventually break away from Nigeria. |
WombRaiders:Op, you failed to include this one... Poodle vs leopard ![]() https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/08/01/article-2713032-202CC25300000578-961_634x713.jpg |
olapluto:Is that what they were saying in the video?... lol ![]() Now this video could be real or staged, all Nigerian politicians are riggers and the bigger rigger usually wins. The popularity of a candidate also helps to lubricate a smooth rigging process to achieve victory. However, it is quite strange that illegal thumbprinting would be going on and the thumbprinters would happily allow themselves to be filmed openly. They also went ahead to make loud and clear statements to the recording to remove all doubts regarding the candidate they are rigging for. I find this rather strange ![]() |
Seems like the 2 daughters are twins and the 2 sons are also twins?... or are my eyes deceiving me? |
medoyin:Fashola would have been a good candidate and a good leader but it is unfortunate that the mind of a typical Nigerian (inclusive of the educated and enlightened) is so depraved and shallow to the point that something as silly and unproductive as tribal/religious sentiments cannot still be overruled in selecting our leaders.. It is a shame that in a country with millions of smart, energetic and sound minds, we are left to choose between a GMB and a GEJ |
olamibobo:150 million naira monthly maintenance?... what are they maintaining?... even a massive federal university with a massive teaching hospital, would it cost 150 million naira to maintain monthly? |
gare:Do you realise the man is the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria and he has a duty to speak up and protect the lives and freedom of Christians all over Nigeria? How do you suggest he does that by sticking to the pulpit in his church in Warri? |
9jii: Trailblazer1:The army's morale isn't low because they can't defeat bokoharam. The morale of the army is low because they do not know who their real enemies are and this is the worst kind of warfare. Saboteurs within your own camp is the worst morale killer for any combatant. Forget all the noise about BH being in possession of sophisticated weapons, the Nigerian army is still 1000 times more equipped and better trained than the rickety hungry looking insurgence. The only reason our military seems confused and seems too weak to crush BH is because of the enemy within. The soldiers no longer know where the allegiance of their commanders lies. A lot of strange 'orders from above' keep disorienting the soldiers and until the real enemy is tackled, the army will remain spineless. Our military was able to gallantly undertake the ECOMOG and UN peace keeping missions because they did not have internal saboteurs. |
This is a beautifully composed write-up that clearly describes the reason behind our backwardness as a nation. |
The most disheartening aspect of this mess is that you are not even allowed to discuss the carnage going on in the north. If you dare to speak about it or try to empathize with the north easterners, you are termed a BH sympathizer. I wonder how we became so diabolically nonchalant as a nation all because of election. No one really cares about the civilians and the military men being killed in these troubled spots daily. All we are bothered about is the 2015 elections. God help us! |

I really pity our soldiers... The worst kind of warfare is the one where you don't even know who or what your enemy is ![]() |
How can people be so indifferent about the sufferings of others even within their own country?... To a typical Jonathanian today, the people in Mubi are having a pleasant time and they have no right to complain or cry. If they do, then its simply propaganda by APC. I ask again, how can people be so indifferent about the travails of their fellow countrymen? This heartlessness being exhibited by some GEJ/PDP supporters is sickening. |
Back2seder:Just the same way GEJ takes the glory for the good works of the agric minister, isn't it obvious to you that GMB was the one who handpicked Idiagbon and allowed him the freedom and powers to do whatever he did?.... If he could fish out an Idiagbon in 1983, do you think it is impossible for him to fish out an Idiagbon (or even many Idiagbons) in 2015? |
If the security details are restored, then it would be another blow to the The constitution is clear on this, if the speaker ceases to be the speaker, his security detail would be withdrawn. But in this case, it is very clear Tambuwal remains the speaker until he is impeached by house members or removed by a competent law court. None of this has happened yet but GEJ and PDP have already scrambled to withdraw security detail. I believe the police would soon restore Tambuwal's security detail and that would be another embarrassment for this government which always acts before it thinks. |
This is really an eye opener... it seems every single person evidentially found to have links with BH is either a member or was a member of PDP. I keep asking if APC is a person's name?.... Why does PDP keep telling Nigerians that BH is APC when all the people arrested and investigated so far for terrorism are actually linked to PDP? The most annoying part of this sad tale is the gullibility of Nigerians who keep listening to the trash spewed by PDP about APC being BH yet they cannot do the needful and arrest a single one of them to secure the lives of innocent Nigerians. |
This is a very painful exit; she was already so beautiful... just take a look at those eyes We should all be careful the way we yab people for their physical inadequacies of which they had no power over. You never know when you drive someone to do the unthinkable with those your little careless comments. ![]() |
I smell 2015 elections ![]() |
b2k90:PDP is the majority but they don't have up to 2/3rd of the seats so their majority is impotent in this matter. |
I think the constitution is very clear on this. Yes he was made the speaker as a PDP member but it takes 2/3 of the members to vote or depose a speaker. If PDP is so desperate to have him step down, then they need to raise a 2/3 vote on the floor and I don't think that would be possible now except they resort to massive bribing of greedy APC members. Besides, I thought Tambuwal had a gubernatorial ambition and doesn't intend to return to the house next year?... If that is the case then his reign is only for a few extra months. I wonder why PDP is losing sleep over this. |
cbrass:Oil money bro... Arab money ![]() Just the way Nigerians earn mega bucks working in the oil sector in Saudi, Abu dhabi, oman, kuwait etc, there are also lots of our people in Iraq presently. |
This isn't surprising at all; at least the school can even lay claim to the fact that she travelled to Africa recently. A friend of mine based in London was deported from Iraq (yes Iraq!) over the weekend all because she had a green west African passport. She was turned back at the airport even though it was clear from her passport that she hadn't even been to Africa in the last 4 years. The annoying thing is that the idiotic countries don't even give any prior publications, they leave the individuals to spend money and precious time to board a plane and get to the country only to be turned back at the airport. |
