Trust me bro, I used to regard the opinions shared on this forum as the opinion of just a few paid and brainwashed south easterners. But after a while, it became clear that I was wrong. What you see on this forum is a good reflection of the opinion of a large population of easterners.

The annoying part of this whole saga is that the Northerners keep thinking that the SS and SE are being developed massively by this government.. Anyway, you cant really blame the North for thinking this way because in the face of the whole neglect, the SE still sings the praises of Jona as if he's the next best thing after sliced bread.

I've never met or known Linda Ikeji, but from what I've read about her she seems the type of person that defiled all the odds and made it big time as a blogger in this present Generation. Few days ago she blogged about the battle which was raging due to her dominance of the blogging scene and accusations of plagiarism, an act which most online media houses is known for.

No doubt someone of her popularity and riches would encounter such an attack because someone somewhere feels the hurt, by her success or making something out of nothing.

The guy who is leading the attack, what is he known for?
has he built any solid reputation or business that is well patronised?
how much money has he made from blogging since he started his venture?

well cut the long story short, this is a typical example of life. When you work hard to make it, there are always people looking to sabotage
you every effort. Its our duty along the way to map out who these folks are, and if we dnt stop them before they grow larger, they may eventually bring us to our knees.

One lesson one can take home from this incident is, Never trust anyone and always watch your back.

I wish Linda the very best of success when she reopens a new blog hopefully haters will not touch this....Like MC Hammer Said... #You_cant_Touch_this
A lot of Nigerians really need a total re-orientation in life. It is really disheartening the way a lot of people keep painting the other 'unknown' blogger as the evil guy in this saga even when the facts are very clear for all to see. Why can't some people just sit down and think with their brains?

All because the guy has no money or fame so therefore he has no right to fight for his right?... This guy has been so demonized by Nigerians all over the world for being bold enough to fight and protect his meagre income which is being illegally swept away by bigger bloggers without apology. What is really wrong with the sense of judgement of some Nigerians? undecided

It doesn't take so much to fix a reference at the end of a story.. Instead of doing the right thing which is so bloody simple, Nigerians would rather scream "witch hunting" and then continue to commit the same offence.

Its very disgusting that a LOW LIFE FACELESS SCAMMER, and HACKER is claiming that Linda " STOLE " his pictures or whatever he's claiming, he went ahead with some other HATERS to blackmail the Linda Ikeji, claiming that she " COPY AND PASTE OR STOLE THEIR STORY?

What are his INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY? WHO DOES HE WRITE FOR ( NYTIMES? ) WHY DID HE REGISTER EVERYTHING lindaikeji.com &co? WHATS HIS INTEREST?

WOLE SOYINKA, CHINUA ACHEBE, ADICHE, GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, GE, ACADEMICIANS, MEDICAL CO. RESEARCH FIRMS, APLLE, SAMSUNG AND ALL OTHER INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT HAVE INTELLECTUAL are the ones that are suppose to be talking about INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND COPYRIGHT, PLS, ALL THESE LOWLIFE ROGUES SHOULD STOP MISUSING THOSE WORDS.

LINDA, STOLE PICTURES AND STORIES, YET NO SINGLE EVIDENCE, WHAT PICTURES AND STORIES IS THE GUY TALKING ABOUT? Bokoharam pix or stories? I expected him to be talking about EXCLUSIVE PICTURES OF WHERE EDWARD SNOWDEN IS or WHO BLUE IVY's Mother is.

No lawsuit can be entertained or won against Linda Ikeji, because, anything u put online is for public consumption. She gives credit and quote her sources. The guy wanted MONEY ( thats what he meant by " CREDIT" ). Thousands of news organisations, repeat news from other sources and uses pictures. Google and Getty images didnt have a problem with Linda, theyre too BIG for such. But, one single guy just woke up and start BLACKMAILING her.

New York times, Chiamanda Adiche, Wole Soyinka, et al, will NEVER BOTHER about Linda, publishing their article or news on her blog, cos they are way BIGGER than her.

All the NOISE about Linda stole his " WORKS", which "work has he done? Is he a WRITER? Is the guy an ARTIST? Is he a MUSICIAN ? WHO KNOWS HIM? AND WHAT AWARD or NOMINATION HAS HE WON FROM HIS SO CALLED "WORKS' ? LET HIM SHOW HIMSELF/FACE LEGITIMATELY AGAINST LINDA IKEJI, then, the world and I will have RESPECT FOR HIM. Someone HIDING ON TWITTER TO RANT ABOUT A SUCCESSFUL LADY, is not going to make him successful. If his own blogging or hacking is rewarding, HE WILL NEVER HAVE TIME OR NOTICE LINDA IKEJI,BUT, NOW I KNOW HE'S A LOW LIFE.

LINDA's blog is down, then what? IN THIS SOCIAL MEDIA AGE AND TIME, LINDA WILL BOUNCE BACK. SHE HAS BUILT A BRAND. EVEN IF SHE BLOG FROM FACEBOOK AND TWITTER, HER FOLLOWERS AND SUCCESS WILL STILL BE THERE. ( IF IT'S NOT PANADOL, IT CANT BE LIKE PANADOL).

LINDA "STOLE" this and that, what I always see her posting on her blog is about celebrities tweet and FB, post, Kim, Beyonce, Flavor, D Banj, Genevive, Omotala, GEJ, PDP, APC, or one LOCAL CHAMPION or the the other, then the rest will be about NUDE MALES OR FEMALES, SO WHAT's their to STEAL? WHAT ELSE IS ON THAT BLOG ? PEOPLE SHOULD STOP HATING INNOCENT SOULS.

LEGALLY, SHE's good and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN, IT's just ENVY, BLACKMAIL AND RUMOR.

Just as the same people that DESTROYED NIGERIA ARE BUSY EXPECTING JONATHAN TO BUILD ELDORADO IN FOUR YEARS, INSULTING HIM HERE AND THERE. Your tribe is home to some of the biggest and most CORRUPT SOULS IN AFRICA, YET YOU'LL BE CALLING JONATHAN A CORRUPT LEADER.

HYPOCRISY, LIES, ENVY, DOUBLE STANDARD MUST STOP, IF YOU GUYS WANT TO MOVE THAT YOUR COUNTRY FORWARD

N:B I'm not a fan of Linda or GEJ, I open her blog laugh at comments and keep it moving ( i have never commented for one day). She's doing good and will SURELY COME BACK BETTER. Gej, is a failure, but, FAILURES SHOULD NOT BE CALLING HIM OUT EITHER
Unfortunately you have just exposed your gross ignorance with this your post. So in your wisdom someone has to win an award before it is accepted by you that he owns a property?.. A writer has to win a nobel prize before you accept that his/her story belongs to him?... A movie producer has to win an academy or AMAA award before you can accept that the movie belongs to him and therefore should not be pirated?... Anyway, don't worry, there are a lot of grossly ignorant folks like you out there so you aren't alone.

It's not your fault that you were born and raised in a country where illegalities are so rampant that they are no longer regarded as illegalities. A politician steals money and when/if he's arrrested, he would say everyone else steals and that he's only being persecuted by his political opponents (and foolish people would support his argument). The president commits a blunder and when he's criticised he says it is the opposition APC that's trying to persecute him. A celebrity is involved in a malpratice and when accused would claim it is the work of his/her haters, bad belle people or competitors.

A simple question you should have asked before your long blab is if Linda copied someone's work and if she acknowledged the person or not... I believe we all know the answer to that. Do you know how serious a crime it is to steal intellectual property?... Every blogger may do it in Nigeria but that doesn't make it right. Try that beyond the shores of Nigeria in the developed world and you could risk prison time and huge fines in addition to the closure of your website.
Celebrities › Re: Google Removes Linda Ikeji's Blog by obailala(m): 5:32pm On Oct 08, 2014
Pride Goeth Before a Fall!

All bloggers in Nigeria are guilty of plagiarism, but she should have understood that being the Number 1 Blogger in Africa makes her to stand out and this comes with attendant consequences. Those who live in glass houses should be very careful not to play with stones.

A simple apology when she was accused by a lady of copying her work could have saved her all this trouble. Instead, she came up with an unnecessary arrogant public response that it was because she bought an SUV that's why people are coming after her.

But of course illegality is so rampant in Nigeria to the point that it is seen as 'Normal,' that is why so many people cannot still understand what she did wrong for her site to be closed.

In as much as APC talks too much sometimes, I don't believe they would just rant about such a weighty allegation without some element of truth. Someone is really not telling Nigerians something.

Very thought provoking undecided

We have 5 of our pastors in the world's top 10 richest list
We have our political leaders also ranking as some of the richest in the world.
We have about the highest number of private jet owners in the world (Nigeria has more private jets than commercial aircrafts)

Yet we also have some of the poorest people in the world; our nation doesn't even rank amongst the first 100 rich nations?

...The job of the opposition is to find a hole in gov't and capitalised on it which Apc did.
Very simple logic but I wonder why too many Nigerians are too dumb to understand this. The job of the opposition is to simply pick out the loopholes and the shortcomings of the ruling party, amplify the loopholes for all to see and use the loopholes as a basis for their own political game. If only Nigeria was a sane country, the PDP would have been washed away a long time ago because of their daily blunders. We keep clamouring for democracy but it is clear a lot of people have no idea what democracy is all about. It surprises me how any right thinking person would expect the opposition party to be giving the ruling party a pat on the back even in the face of all the blunders.
Politics › Re: Seized $5.7million: APC Used By ‘Foreign Interests’ To Destroy Nigeria — PDP by obailala(m):
GEJ through his lack of constructive administrative skills has invented a very toxic kind of politics in Nigeria; 'the politics of blame, blame and blame'

Every single occurrence is twisted into a political argument to confuse the gullible populace and win over votes. What have they not blamed this APC which was only formed last year for?...

APC is blamed for the epileptic power supply in the country
APC is blamed for being the sponsors of terrorism
APC was blamed for being the sponsors of #OccupyNigeria protests
APC was blamed for the #BringBackOurGirls protest all over the world
APC was blamed for plane crashes
APC is blamed for road accidents and bad roads
APC was blamed for raising up the issue of missing billions and thereby distracting the business of governance

Finally, APC has also just been blamed for causing the entire apparatus of the Nigerian Federal Government to overlook the simple protocol of informing the SA government before loading $9.3million and/or $5.7million in CASH into a South African bound jet to procure arms...

Another confusing twist in the blame game is how a chieftain who leaves APC to join PDP would be accepted and his sins washed away from him instantly. Anyway, the only reason why our leaders can dare to play such childish and irrational politics of blame is because they know very well, the level of intelligence of the majority of people they lead.

In my opinion, until the death of a man, he can never be certain about which knowledge or skill he gained in his lifetime will be useless.

The fact however remains that some knowledge/skill we gain in our lifetime will never be used but it would be silly to start pointing out the useless knowledge/skills now when we still have a long journey ahead of us.

Okay I now get it, running government is difficult so therefore in your rare wisdom, it is okay for the government to go about breaking both local and international laws because it is a difficult task to run government... How smart!

Are you aware there is a law on money laundering existing in every single country in the world inclusive of our lawless nation?... I am sure you are aware.

Are you aware that the Nigerian government due to its incompetence, carelessness and gross disregard for anything called law, broke the money laundering laws of SA?... I am sure you are aware

Do you think every nation in the world is as lawless as yours where clear laws can be broken brazenly by the very people who are meant to enforce the laws?

I understand we live in a strange country where we have been exposed to too many irregularities from generations of bad leadership and consequently, our ideologies have mutated to a see a normal occurrence as abnormal, sanity is seen as insanity, honesty is interpreted as stupidity and dishonesty is regarded as smartness. However, your own ideological mutation is way beyond human comprehension. In fact, I don't even believe you are stupid, rather I think you are willingly trying to sound stupid because you think you have a responsibility to defend the government in something which is indefensible.
