Politics › Re: Nigerian Doctor Was “not” Cured Of Ebola(the Doctor Never Had Ebola) by obailala(m): 12:00pm On Aug 18, 2014
To the best of my knowledge, it was never mentioned anywhere that Nano-Silver was used to cure ebola in Nigeria (it hasn't even been tested yet); neither did the health minister nor anyone else ever say that the Nigerian doctor was CURED. It is general knowledge that some ebola patients do recover from the ailment if given proper care and I believe that is the case of the Nigerian doctor.

So who is the ediot circulating these flimsy allegations??

By the way, why is there no source for the report??
Business › Re: Proof That $20b Or More May Be Missing (A Revisit To The NNPC Barefaced Robbery) by obailala(m):
homerac7: ^^
Those denying probability of $20bn being stolen with little trace from FG coffers either are ignorant of how deeply corrupt and brazen govt officials are, or don't have a clue about the true scale of Nigeria's economy, or probably just don't know what to believe.
On the contrary, those denying the probability of missing billions are far from ignorant... They are simply individuals and groups who have voluntarily decided to delude themselves that no money is missing... they fear that if they agree any money is missing, it would be an indictment of Jonathan's administration as being corrupt...

These individuals can never be convinced because even if the theft happens in their faces, they would still deny it ever happened... The increase in the number of private jets in Nigeria lately is enough evidence for even an ediot to know that a lot of money is going down the drain lately. Forbes reports that the number of private Jets in Nigeria jumped from 20 in 2007 to 150 in 2012 (only God knows what the figure would be now in 2014 when people like Tompolo and CAN president have just joined the list last year.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/mfonobongnsehe/2012/09/18/wealthy-nigerians-spend-a-reported-6-5-billion-on-private-jets/

Most Jonathan supporters would make the most ridiculous arguments thinking they are protecting his interests and oblivious of the fact that they are destroying their own future.. Not long ago I met with a cousin who swore with his life that the power problem in Nigeria has been solved by Jona because he now gets light for more than 18 hours per day in his house.. I was like, WTF!.. where do you stay please?... are you really okay?

Politics › Re: Chibok Girls: Kcee Embarrassed In America by obailala(m): 12:10am On Aug 16, 2014
deeobserver209: I don't know what you have heard about the circumstances surrounding the kidnap of the Chibok school girls. I don't know whether you live in the Nigeria or not. I don't know whether you know that terrorism in Nigeria is religious as well as political. Am not trying to convince you in anyway. You have the right to believe what you want to believe. And as you rightly said am entitled to my own opinion.

The circumstances surrounding the Chibok school girls is a dicey one. One that is sure to invokes all kinds of questions through the mind as you research and investigate thoroughly. Am not writing anything about why the Federal government responded the way it did. It's up to you to find that out and investigate.
Investigation in this case means engaging with the 'Real' Chibok people, assuming you know anyone from there. I won't advice you to rely on the print media or the net because there's more to the Chibok kidnapped that meets the eye. If you do this passionately and objectively, you will understand why the Federal Government responded the way it did and why the first lady did what she did.

As I said earlier, Boko Haram terrorism in Nigeria is political as well as religious. It's a known fact that some of the military personnel had compromised their responsibilities. They are sympathetic to Boko Haram main due to their religious background and inclination. They sabotage and give give out information to insurgents.
The United States faced that challenge too in Afghanistan. Just recently a high ranking US military officer was killed by an Afghan soldier. This is not the first time it's happening. The United States had lost many soldiers through Afghan forces in recent times. Same thing with Britain. It's obvious there are Taliban moles in the Afghan military as well. So You see the reality of what we are dealing with here in North East Nigeria?

Do you think corruption is majorly responsible for a successful fight against Boko Haram terrorist? That's what the foreign media wants you to think.

I don't know what you have heard through foreign media houses, but if I were you I won't really bother myself about them. The media as it is today has become a global political tool of Mis-Information and Propaganda. Professionalism and Ethics had since been thrown to the dustbin. You and I know that 95 percent of their reportage about Africa are always negative.
One thing for sure is that truth can never be hidden no matter what. It will reveal it self one day and when it does, everyone will know the truth. As long as I know the truth of what's going in Nigeria concerning the chibok girls and the fight against terrorism I see no reason why I should be embarrassed. Am only Sad these things are happening.
If you remember, the original reason we are having this discussion is because I said the entire Chibok saga is embarrasing to me especially when asked about it by non-Nigerians who do not understand the dynamics of our jungle nation...

The points you have just made here further reveals why I get embarrassed whenever questions on the chibok saga are raised by my foreign friends and colleagues and I find myself unable to answer their simple questions:
1. We as a nation cannot confidently verify if the kidnap is real or fake, isn't that enough reason to get me embarrased?
2. Up till now, no media house or even the chibok people or the government can verify the real number of kidnapped girls, isn't that enough reason to get me embarrased?
3. That our military is so compromised and even the C-in-C isn't in control of his military, isn't that enough reason to get me embarrassed?

Just like I have stressed all day, all the circumstances surrounding the chibok saga simply cast a bad image of Nigeria to the entire world and make us look like an uncoordinated and confused nation with a leadership which is even more confused. Now you suggest I should simply ignore all these inconsistencies and stop feeling embarrassed because it is just the international media concocting disjointed stories in a bid to rubbish our image?.... Is Nigeria the only country in the world?.... If that's the case, then the only reason why they can rubbish our image is because we have already rubbished and keep rubbishing ourselves.. Do you honestly think that's not a enough reason to get me embarrassed?
Politics › Re: No Bomb Blast Since After APC Victory In Osun State - DSS Spokesperson by obailala(m): 3:04pm On Aug 15, 2014
comrChris: I doubt if atall we need change in this country, for crying out loud this woman made a point that deserves looking into but unfortunately the youth especially in this forum that are ment to get her point are so irresponsible. She raised a question asking why there were no blomb blast aftert osun and edo election which were won by apc rather there were blomb blast after anambra, ondo and ekiti election,, for the person asking if there was a blomb blast in anambra,it must not necessarilly happen in anambra but it happened in the usual place(north) after election in those states she mentioned.
Did you just say she made a point?... First of all I would have asked you what the time interval was between those election dates and the bomb blasts she talks about. Secondly I would have asked what the difference is between bokoharam detonating a bomb vs. bokoharam sacking a whole village 2 days ago, killing 30 military men and abducting 100 youths for conscription but I do not think that analysis is even necessary now because it's all a disgustingly silly logic...

Now let us assume there is an iota of sense in what this old lady has just said, do you realise this could cause the 'APC' to plant a bomb somewhere and kill innocent individuals just to cover their tracks?... Is this a statement that should be made by the SSS of all people even if there is a remote chance that it may be true?... Whatever happened to professionalism or even common sense for even an organisation like the DSS??....

The only reason why she made such senseless statement is because she is being partisan and under the payroll of Jonathan himself. This is the same rubbish theory that GEJ has been promulgating since 2010 thereby distracting him from unearthing who the real enemies are... In fact I personally believe that both GEJ and the SSS know how silly the accusation is, they also know exactly who and what Bokoharam is but have chosen to keep quiet and rather sell the "APC is Bokoharam" farce to gullible Nigerians so as to gain political advantage in 2015.

Assuming the APC was truly behind Bokoharam, do you really think they would be so unwise as to detonate a bomb whenever they lose an election and expose themselves to suspicion?

The 'simple-minded' virus being spread around by GEJ and his team is eating deep into our populace... A lot of people are now totally incapable of critical thinking...
Politics › Re: No Bomb Blast Since After APC Victory In Osun State - DSS Spokesperson by obailala(m): 2:29pm On Aug 15, 2014
It surprises me how Jonathanians have reduced themselves to reason like elementary school pupils... Now even top public officials and head of security agencies have been dragged into the mess...

The easiest way not to catch your real enemy is to focus ALL your attention accusing a single person for all your woes... The only reason the Nigerian government headed by Jonathan can never catch the Boko Haram brains or stop the siege is because from day 1, they already assumed it was APC and have focussed all their attention believing APC must be responsible and no one else.

Nigeria is in real big trouble... Everyday I keep understanding the importance of having an intelligent and wise person at the helm of affairs... Nigeria and Nigerians have never had it this bad... The way in which some Nigerians think and speak lately is a typical reflection of the person at the helm of affairs... Defending some indefensible errors with the most ridiculous arguments is now the order of the day....

Now we have the mouthpiece of the SSS speaking like a crayfish seller at a waterside market. An allegation like this based on such childish premise and this is coming from the SSS??.. This is the reason why whoever is the real sponsor of BokoHaram will just laugh at our silliness as a nation and keep bombing us until we open our eyes heads and think.

The spokesperson of a body which should represent the highest level of security intelligence in the country making market woman assumptions and actually saying it publicly as the official position of the SSS... May God deliver us from every form of Jonathitis... Nigeria has really gone to the dogs.

deeobserver209: Any one who feels embarrassed when asked questions about Chibok girls outside Nigeria only shows ignorance on security matters in the country. If you know what is happening in the country and the reality of Terrorism as it affects Nigeria and other countries around the world you will never be embarrassed. Terrorist are murderers.
Besides, Nigeria is not the first place where people where kidnapped through acts of terrorism. Something similar happened in Russia some years ago were terrorist took hostage several children in a school. Some of the kids even lost their lives as the Russian security tried to rescue them. See, That's a develop society. Therefore case of Nigeria is no different.
Incidents involving hostages are always difficult to deal with. It's not like chasing armed robbers down the road. You're dealing with innocent lives who could end up being killed if care is not taken. The more reason why the Nigerian military are threading carefully to avoid collateral damage.
Oh Yes! Terrorists are murderers and Nigeria isn't the first place where people have been kidnapped by terrorists but...

what do you have to say about the response of the Nigerian government following the kidnap?... Do you realise the first real response of the central government was 3 weeks after the kidnap? (after several protests and pressures from within and outside)

What do you have to say about the embarrassing 'diaris God' drama by the first lady who later ordered the arrest of the Chibok representatives and protesters?... Do you have an idea how that was reported by foreign media?

What do you have to say about the response of the Nigerian military that gave an erroneous press statement that the girls were rescued the next day?

What do you have to say about the reports at the time that the Nigerian military was informed prior to the attack but did absolutely nothing?

What do you have to say about a government spokesperson, Dr Okupe coming on CNN and saying it was Jonathan's political enemies (APC) that were responsible for the kidnap and all the bombings and then couldn't justify the allegation when asked further questions?

Do you realise the extent to which our dirty linen as a nation was washed in full international glare during that saga?... There were several reports of the stinking corruption in our military ranks which makes them unable to handle the Boko situation, the stinking corruption in our government etc... Do you realise the extent to which the incompetence and corruption of our leaders was exposed to the world by that saga even to the extent that jokes were made internationally about your president?

As a Nigerian who claims to love his nation, if you don't feel embarrassed by such an expose, but feel it is more expedient to erroneously compare the response of Nigeria to the response of other nations attacked by terrorist, then that is none of my business. You are entitled to your opinions and emotions..

What is wrong with Kcee saying he was embarrassed by the questions he faced about the chibok girls?... How in the world can a sane person's head interpret this as "Kcee is looking for cheap attention"?... Do we even still have mature people in this Nairaland??

Controversial leader of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Mujahid Asari Dokubo, has yet again insisted that more than 1 million people affected by the current ebola outbreak in west africa is a scam and those reported died from the disease are not infected by the disease.

Asari Dokubo who had in August also described the Ebola Disease as a scam took to his facebook to voice out his opinion, posting the comment below: “Dis EBOLA that kill faster…so na won tell me say ebola get power pass hiv aids? We wey we dey live for creeks self dey eat monkey nd gorilla day and night, ebola no catch us! PASS THE MESSAGE….NOTHING LIKE EBOLA DISEASES….EBOLA VIRUS IS A SCAM.”

Despite the news of mr sawyer and the priest reported killed by the diseases, Dokubo still insist there was no occurrence of such with him accusing the united state of america, Vladimir putin , mbarak obama and All of its western allies of staging the ebola virus disease to destroy President Jonathan’s administration.

Kindly check his Facebook message: www.facebook.com/asaridokubo

tk4rd: U better wait until the time he catches a kidnapper king-pin in a rented apartment, and he sees nothing else to do other than to destroy the rented apartment, then, u can come up with this...
For your good information, Government does not need these houses, and thus, the need for demolition..
Government might even cherish the land itself better than the house anyway..
My question still remains, is it economically sensible to demolish buildings (especially in a nation which is infrastructurally deficient)??

Now if you think there's nothing wrong in destroying buildings national wealth because they were created by criminals, imagine this policy is extended to include 419ners, robbers, corrupt politicians etc? Do you realise that over 75% of the houses in Abuja could be flattened? Not long ago, the EFCC confiscated several hundreds of Cecelia Ibru's properties across the globe worth about N800billion; imagine that those properties were demolished instead of sold?..

You need to look at the bigger picture, you need to consider policies on the macro scale and not the micro scale... This is one area where the white man continues to be ahead of us, we dont look beyond our nose.
Politics › Re: Kidnapping: Anambra Govt. Demolishes Church,3 Other Building by obailala(m): 10:51pm On Aug 06, 2014
CoolKizzy: those houses are haunted. in the past Gov. Obi turned them to Motherless babies home. but the criminals will intimidate them to parking out. so its better to destroy the house. money is highly liquid and cannot be compared with a structure with no liquidity at all.
Did u just say a building an asset isn't liquid and hence can/should be destroyed??... Why is it difficult for africans to understand the simple laws of economics?.. All we know how to do is destroy the little we have...

You may think the little building used by kidnappers is too insignificant to affect the economy of a nation but that's exactly where we always get it wrong as africans, we don't look beyond our nose to see the big picture. Imagine this law is extended to include fraudsters, armed robbers, corrupt politicians etc. If fully implemented, then the biggest industry in Nigeria would be the demolition industry and a city like abuja would be flattened... Anyway, there's no biggie if that happens because structures have no liquidity at all (as u say)...

Nigeria is a developing country struggling with infrastructural development... You would agree with me that demolishing a beautiful structure amounts to a wastage of our collective resources (even though the structure may be owned by individuals)... There are other things the government could do to deter kidnappers and criminals; those properties could even be acquired and auctioned...

It's just like arresting a thief, withdrawing all the funds he has in his bank accounts and setting the cash in flames... Not a very well thought out move if you ask me...
