Rexxie: Big foool..otu'oke nlanlan niyen tioba mo...That you or anyone at all supports Jonathan is not enough reason to think Nigerians are fools. Jonathan of course is not be the initiator of the idea but telling me that neither he nor any of his teeming advisers/handlers has seen or heard of that caption in 3 weeks is arrant nonsense. HE has only reacted because the outcry towards the caption is beginning to gain grounds including internationally. Kudos to him anyway for eventually doing the right thing, albeit too late |
President Jonathan wholly shares the widely expressed view that the signs which were put up without his knowledge or approval are a highly insensitive parody of the #Bring Back Our Girls hash tag. This man is always slow to reason... A whole 3 weeks after the insensitive campaign theme has been trending and it is only today that he has come to his senses?.. "put up without his knowledge" indeed. Can he tell us that neither he nor any of his multitude of ill advisers have seen that hashtag in these 3 weeks?.. Not too talk of the fat one called Okupe who has been tweeting the rubbish Now the world has remembered Nigeria again because of this gaffe and we have become the subject of international ridicule once again ![]() |
When I opened this topic I was hoping to see http://fakenaijanews..co.uk/ as the source of the info but I was wrong... This has to be the joke of the century. It seems the minister or whoever came up with this 'bright' idea is just in love with the word 'ban' or he must have been on an ogogoro diet when he got this idea. So if I purchase and slaughter a cow in my backyard, it would now be a crime if I decide to eat the skin instead of selling it as leather??... Who would I even sell it to??.. If there is a lucrative market for hydes and skin out there, which farmer would even want to eat his source of income in the first place?? |
The kind of politics we play in Nigeria stinks... Since the birth of the 'opposition' in Nigerian politics, common sense has been eroded with political sense which isn't too far from plain stupidity. Every single issue or occurrence is now seen through the microscopic prism of politics. |
MadCow1: Not durable..If you follow the trend, you will be shocked at the rate of improvement of those Chinese vehicles in the last 10 years. |
AlfaSeltzer: Do you know that toyota and kia design their own cars? The ingenuity of the companies you mentioned started with mediocrity; 10 years ago, china wasn't producing cars but very soon, China would soon start exporting vehicles to the US... With a conducive business environment (provided by the government) and a passionate will by IVM to succeed, IVM can favourably compete with those bigger names at least in the Nigerian and African market... In order to succeed also, IVM needs to pay excellent attention to details and not compromise on quality (unfortunately a trait rarely found amongst the black race). |
ceaser: It's unimaginable. But I think Nigerians have had to much exposure to too much irregularities from successive terrible government for far too long. This has brought about mutation in ideologies and outlook to life in a way that a normal occurrence is viewed and analysed as abnormal, sanity viewed as insanity, honesty viewed as stupidity and wrongly recompensed as such while dishonesty is viewed as smartness. You couldn't have said it better... You have just given a perfect diagnosis of the prevalent ideological malady in our society... Not too long ago, Keshi cried out that he hasn't been paid his salary for about 6 months and instead of querying the NFF, a lot of people on this forum actually castigated Keshi for being greedy ![]() |
Before now I thought it was the greed and idiocy of our leaders that would kill us all.. but in recent times, I've come to an understanding that it's only our collective foolishness that can make the greed of our leaders kill us... What kind of foolishness would make anyone blame the health workers instead of the government in a situation like this? |
5minsmadness: Its not even about volunteers getting paid in some cases, THE GOVERNMENT OFFERED TO PAY THEM! The government said anyone who volunteered to work at the Ebola centre would be paid a stipend of N50k a day. They are the ones who said it! And now are not willing to pay! It's unbelievable the way Nigerians turn around and deffend the diabolic actions of the government and even place the blame on their fellow suffering masses |
lomaxx: I need to check my dictionary for the meaning of "volunteer" again. Maybe the definition has changed.Where is the education of my people?... Must every word be read literally? A volunteer is someone who willingly offers himself/herself to perform a task which others would rather not want to be involved in... That does not mean the person should not be paid especially when the person volunteered for a paid job. I work from Mondays to Fridays but sometimes my boss requests for 'volunteers' to work on weekends. If I volunteer to work on a weekend, I would be paid at a higher rate than what I earn normally. Now with regards the ebola volunteers, no health worker would wish to go close to the ebola treatment centres especially due to the way health workers seem to have been majority of the victims in Nigeria and also because of the shabby way in which the government treats the victims.. For this reason, there has to be an enticing benefit package for whoever volunteers to work in these centres... I wonder why this simple logic is too difficult for supposedly enlightened Nigerians to understand... Even with the package promised by the government, only a few health workers still came forward and now it is alleged that the government is defaulting in its promises.. Instead of discussing the diabolic actions of the government or whoever is responsible for paying their entitlements, Nigerians who should be worried are here debating the meaning of the word 'volunteer' ![]() |
The last true African leader would soon be eliminated by the colonialists just as they did to Ghaddafi... He's still alive today only cos Zimbabwe has no oil |
focus7: This type of response was suppose greet Seun's comments aginst Buhari yesterday. Is important we beging to make contribution that is void of bias and sentiment it will help us build better society. Just as u said when did Seun becomes an authority in political arena that we should listing to him? His lack of training speaks loud for him to utter those nonsense about the two leaders in this country. If he says Jonathan drinks and the wife bleach then I need to tell him his little history. His own father was not just a drinker but also a heavy weed smoker and abuser of women and his mother was among the prostitute Fela adopted as wife.Bro.. you dont have to take this too personal too. The politicians you try to defend so passionately don't give a shiit about you so you really dont have to condescend to the level of insulting his mother.. |
s3nn2x: Yes you are right... nigerianvenom: so and search for some other lies abegLol You dont have to take this too personal bro.. Yes, Seun kuti may be irrelevant in the Nigerian political scene but remember, if this thread is irrelevant, then it is just as irrelevant as the one which was put on the front page (to which this thread is a simple response) |
chukwudi44: There is no other senior CBN official who schooled in sudan and who recently left the CBN other than Sanusilol I can see you are soooo sure of what you are saying because you work in the HR dept of CBN to have the record of everyone who studied in Sudan and left the bank within the last 8 months. Thinking and analysing stories with heavy emotions doesn't help your comprehension abilities |
s3nn2x: This is Seun Kuti's official facebook account https://www.facebook.com/seunkutiofficial?ref=br_tf. The facebook name is Seun Anikulapo Kuti, this is a verified account. I can't see anything there. I think this is very fake...while the one on front page is genuine and can be verified by visiting his instagram page http://instagram.com/p/shnVBekBkA/?modal=trueThere's a difference between a personal FB page and a FB fan page https://www.facebook.com/seun.kuti1?fref=ts |
chukwudi44: Do you have comprehension problem?I would have said you had a comprehension problem but I wouldn't cos I know you don't. I simply explained your issue in my previous post. You hate Sanusi and your emotions have overtaken your logical abilities... You so |
s3nn2x: So because Seun Kuti says something we should accept....This thread is simply a response to the one on the frontpage https://www.nairaland.com/1887860/seun-kuti-call-buhari-evil |
tit: 1) Sanusi recently left the CBNHow does picture evidence of womanising become an evidence of Sanusi sponsoring bokoharam? Report says Ogwuches wife visited the senior CBN official at his office at the headquarters before the Nyanya blast, if I can remember, Sanusi was sacked in february and the blast was in April.. So how could there have been a visit to an already 'sacked' sanusi at the HQ just before the blast? The only reason why Nigerian intelligence may not be able to stop BH is because we already all have someone in mind who we wish would be the culprit even before we start investigations... When you go into an investigation without an open mind, the real culprits would walk past your nose while you keep looking for non-existent links to trap the other man which you hate as the culprit. |
Now I woke up this morning to a bubbly thread on the frontpage about Seun Kuti calling Buhari 'Evil' https://www.nairaland.com/1887860/seun-kuti-call-buhari-evil From the responses, you could see that the e-PDP team are very excited for scoring the first point this morning. Scoreline for the morning, PDP 1 vs APC 0 ...but come to think of it, this is what the same Seun Kuti has to say of GEJ: "First lady bleaching, president drinking and we wonder why the youths ain't thinking?... Cos they 'look up' to those that are way down......" "New zoo, new plane, No ideology, No Brain..."
|
honeric01: Set up a thread for this and watch it dive into the bottomless pit of nairaland.Lol.. I would try that ![]() |
I see the Jonathanians are highly elated by this statement from Mr Kuti.. but it's time to spoil the party for them ![]() An extract of what the same Seun Kuti had to say about uncle Jonah... "First lady bleaching, president drinking and we wonder why the youths ain't thinking?... Cos they 'look up' to those that are way down......" "New zoo, new plane, No ideology, No Brain..." Chaii!!

SLIDEwaxie: If they will just spend half of the time they used in hating Nigeria, they may just move forward by an inch in 5yrs!!It is only because of some silly Nigerian teenagers who go over to Ghana to study and who are fond of picking on Ghanaians, that's the only reason why some Ghanaians seem to hate on Nigeria. Apart from yours, I haven't read any of the comments on this thread but I am sure this would be a 100page thread full of silly Nigerian teenagers bragging about how Nigeria is a better nation... When will Nigerians every pick on people their own size? |
Nice video.. but I didn't particularly like this song in the NGNT album.. The song lacks lyrics and depth.. Seems like Phyno just wanted to squeeze a song with flavour into his album and then this song was composed in a few hours.. my opinion though |
PhockPhockMan: All the laudable projects the president has done started with proposals or the with the word "proposed". Tell me, which thing do you do in this world without proposing it first? Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, Jonathan will deliver and commission the project in 2016.Let it be completed first b4 I rejoice.. You are free to keep rejoicing just the same way we have always rejoiced at proposals to end NEPA blackouts since shagari days in 1983 |
campusflavour: 1) the negotiator doesnot understand hausa, and therefore can easily misunderstand what his interpreter is saying 2) he was there to negotiate for the return of the girls and not to find out who is bh sponsors, 3) terrorist will not expose their sources of power to u, cos u will cripple them and by the way how does he think he will be allowed into sambisa forest or any other terrorist camp again to negotiate if he is saying the truth?. 4) why is it that he didnt say this on cnn or bbc 5) the picture of him with some masked guys doesnot look real,1,the background is too clean to be a forest,2, i can pick 3 street boys to tie rags on their faces claiming to be bh, 6) he failed to bring back our girls. Pls its not pej that made this analogy na me wan use attract una, thanksI thought I opened this thread to read something meaningful.. There are 1001 reasons why the negotiators story may be flawed but the above bolded reasons you have highlighted are ridiculously childish ![]() |
Omexonomy: do u realy think shekau will mention the names of his sponsors or his enemy?No!... I do not believe the report of the Australian. They wouldn't even divulge such sensitive info to their members let alone an outsider |
CyberWolf: Now you are talking..you see APC,instead of them to tell the man to mention the name specifically, they went ahead and start calling people names..and they only mentioned two people against their party,SAS and Ihejirika, but refused to mention the former CBN official who studied in Sudan, they didn't say anything concerning what he said that majority of the sponsors are in opposition party and if FG moves against, they will cry political witch hunt..my issue is that I don't believe the man until he exonerate himself concerning who employed him since FG denied him since June...Another politically minded individual... It doesn't always have to be politics my friend... The people who destroyed and are presently destroying our nation are equally spread across the 2 main political parties. We don't always have to see issues through the microscopic prism of politics... To correct a major error in your story, I watched the entire Aussie interview and he never mentioned that the criminal senior CBN official studied in Sudan; he only said there was a man in Sudan who gives supplies to BH and there was a CBN official who helps in funds transfer. I assume you already have someone you wish is this suspect and you have now distorted your understanding abilities to fit into what you already wish was the case. Now that is not to say I believe in the report of the Aussie especially as common sense tells me BH commanders would never freely divulge info about their sponsors. |
dtruth3: yes he said former, bt it was generally believed by d APC dat it was Ihejirika. (even though i dnt subscribe to dat nonsense)When you begin to see and reason only through the microscopic prism of politics and ethnicity, you end up making a fool of yourself and betraying your own intelligence.... Must everything in Nigeria be assumed and treated as politics of APC vs PDP? The exact statement of the Aussie was "a former COAS who retired.. or sorry was sacked in January." There is only one Nigerian COAS who was retired in January 2014 and every sane or informed Nigerian knows this. How on earth you imagine it could be another person other than Ihejirika is strange to me but the most ridiculously silly assumption you have made is to say "it was generally believed by d APC dat it was Ihejirika." How on Earth did APC get into this discussion?... |
feedthenation: The worst open-secret ever in the Nigerian political scene.May God help us before 2015 with a new candidate cos as it stands now, GEJ happens to be the only candidate in that election |
Popeye mama.. |
Afghanistan: Former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sherrif, has described himself as a victim and not a sponsor of Boko Haram, as widely claimed in many quarters in Nigeria. The more you look, the less you see.. ...but on a serious not, Sheriff might just be a scapegoat in this game.. I personally don't believe the leadership and sponsors of a terrorist organisation like BH can be so easily guessed by everyone. Right from day 1, it's always been an easy guess that Sheriff is linked to BH. However my little wisdom tells me that things are not usually the way they seem to be... Things like these are not easy guessed. |
