M.I vs KH

Anyone saying M.I killed KH in that episode must be either having memory problems or did not listen to tracks from both sides... Yes M.I is the bigger and more talented artist and is more relevant in the industry but through that episode, he showed the world that the beef game isn't really his calling. M.I was trying to be an 'artist' even in beef but KH being a tout was just rolling out insults. I think KH won that episode.

Seems like a lot of people confuse the questions "who was more brutal with lyrics in the beef songs released at the time" with "who is more successful/talented/relevant"

Promhize: So you think this only happens in Nigeria. You think this is the worst? And its peculiar to Nigeria?
I bet you really haven't done Yo Momma disses much.. Try that and you'll know the comments are indeed very fair.. cool
There's a point where it goes beyond the normal yabbings which celebrities and other TV personalities are meant to receive and it becomes insults and pure heartfelt hate... Its actually a black race issue but YES, I think the way people go about it in Nigeria is a bit different and disturbing... Nigerians are about the most confident black people in the world. Overconfidence however breeds arrogance and when arrogance meets competition, hate is born... A simple example is the way we treat our celebrities and the way our celebrities are treated/welcomed when they visit other African countries
duni04: Lol. U nid 2 visit foreign celeb blogs n forums n see hw dey yab their celebs 2 destruction. Nobody hates toolz, personally I don't. She is not in anyway trying to use her 'Assets' to gain any fame... Rather it is you and me that have decided to see it as if she is throwing her 'Assets' around.. besides, it is not her fault that she's got huge 'Assets' and I dont think it would be possible for her to come out of her house and leave her 'behind' at home... so what then do u expect her to do?... lock herself indoors in fear because some people she dont know think she is ONLY coming out to flaunt assets??.. C'mon bro, search yourself very well.. u are annoyed at her for no reason and the definition of that is 'hating'

Nigerian youngsters have to be the most bitter people on the planet... They may argue that they're just trying to be funny or making jokes but in reality, it's just plain undiluted hatred and jealousy for absolutely no reason.... a very terrible and destructive habit which is very common these days in Nigeria.. During the last Vanguard public talk shop, IBB publicly asked Tambuwal to seek for higher office. And since then, Tambuwal has not stopped.

But how can a politician occupy the position of House Speaker on his ruling party's ticket, and at the same time paint the leader of his ruling party black in the public domain? Are Nigerian politicians the most unprincipled on earth? What motivates Tambuwal to go to this extreme?
@millionaireman
Can u kindly explain to us what u understand by the word principled?

From ur statement above you are saying a man of principle is one who sees something wrong and keeps quiet simply because his colleague or his friend is the perpetrator??... #clap for yourself

So if tomorrow the president is involved in one form of gross misconduct, the speaker or senate president should not support an impeachment action because they belong to the same party with the president??...

Going by the bolded part of ur statement, you are simply saying that no single corrupt person on earth should ever be criticized or punished except the punishment is going to be carried out by God himself (who has no sin)....

TV/Movies › Re: Why Are Nollywood Movies Always So Delusional? by obailala(m): 5:16pm On Dec 08, 2013
speedyboi: Hypocrisy!
Shallow thinking!
and more full this thread!

Of all things to criticize in the industry, this is what you think is important?

If you want to start criticizing delusional movies (leaving behind the fact that movies are not documentaries and not necessarily meant to be 'the real situation'), Hollywood movies and all other woods will come before Nollywood!

what will you say about;
A. -A single criminal defeating a battalion of well trained soldiers like say na ice-cream dem dey drink for army their whole life. Is that the situation in real life?
-In a movie like Olympus has fallen for instance; first part of the attack in white house, the Police or whoever were practically coming out of the building to be killed. I'm sure 'the grrreaat' american police force wouldn't be so dumb in real life, would they? undecided,
-Or in all action movies where lots of people could've taken the criminal at once, but they always prefer to go one by one... to be killed ofcourse - How realistic is that?

B. -And that sh/itty british movie titled slum dog millionaire where people in the slums can speak proper english. Is that the real situation in India?
-OR another unrealistic part: the real slum little boys they used in the beginning spoke Hindi; then the India little actors (who were obviously from middle/high class family in real life) they used when the boys grew up (like 11years kinda) suddenly started to speak proper English without attending school! How real is that anywhere in the world?
-OR the who wants to be a millionaire questions that were turning out as 'fate' BS. - please save me! And the cheap questions that were being asked sef: Infact, who wants to be a millionaire in Nigeria have asked the name of 3 musketeers as a first question before, but lo and behold, that was the ultimate question in the who wants to be a millionaire in our 'slumdog'. mtcheeeew...what A load of crap!

C. Or about anywhere apart from US, UK, Australia and likes being depicted as the worst place on earth in hollywood movies. No? Lemme tell you what a typical shallow minded person thinks about these countries due to 'HOLLYWOOD'
- Russia / Russians - Terrorist Nation
- Korea - Terrorist nation
- Africa - Jungle with people and animals whining and dining together (even though me wey they live here have never seen a wild animal in my life sef). Other times, Africa is a desert with no houses.
- And probably the first movie they will shoot in India, India is already being given the first impression of a slum! And another stereotype begins!
And incase you haven't noticed, almost every bad guy in American movies always have foreign accents!

C. And 'about accents of people who arrive from abroad' that people always complain about...the fact is their accents are as shitty as the ones foreign actors speak in movies about other countries (despite the 'language coach' they get). There's no movie where actors are expected to speak like another country that the people of the country didn't complain about the accents. Even british people complain about Charlize Theron's accent in the movie 'Snow White and Huntsman). That's just how it is; unless you've lived somewhere for a while, you can never have their accent! If na to say few words, then the language coaching might be effective.

Conclusion: Delusional stuffs is not limited to Nollywood! Infact, it is mean't to happen! Why? Because it is a movie! There are are better things to discuss improvement on. It's good to point out things like this, but you need to know, it's not a reason to bash any industry!
Gbam!.. you have said it all

We live in Nigeria, so we know what is realistic and what is not about our country... What baffles me however is how we sit in Nigeria and praise hollywood movies for portraying the 'real life' American situation when the only knowledge we have for comparison about the 'real life' America is from what we see in hollywood movies.. poor comparison I must say

The truth is that ALL movies are unrealistic... nollywood, bollywood, hollywood etc... that's why it's a movie. The same way we complain that our movies are not real, that's also the way Americans complain that movies are not real. Someone said in nollywood u see a villager speaking queens english but remember in hollywood, scientists fly to a planet where no man has ever been before yet the inhabitants of that planet speak pure english with an american accent grin grin

Once your demands and aspirations does not align with the greedy/selfish interest of the west, you are labelled a rogue leader, a sponsor of terrorists or even a full blown terrorist... chucky234: Why one runway with all the overhyped remodelling going on, an international airport is suppose to have four runways and not one.

And who told you an international airport is suppose to have 4 runways??

It simply depends on the level of traffic or how busy the airport is. Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja is very very far from what you would call a busy airport by all standards. Heathrow Airport London which is one of the busiest airports in the world has only 2 runways although it sure needs some more because at busy times, a plane takes-off from Heathrow every 45-60seconds.

The news report isn't clear on what is really going on at the Abuja airport but instead of a new runway, what I think is needed urgently is an efficient system to evacuate (tow) the the carcass of the Saudi cargo plane from the runway.
Travel › Re: Abuja Airport Shut As Saudi Plane Blocks Runway by obailala(m): 11:00am On Dec 05, 2013
That is impossible. International airports have multiple runways for precisely that reason. If a runway is unusable there usually are two parallel sets aligned N-S and E-W to give airlift assist with tailwind for departing and headwind for landing. So at minimum there will be four. If one is blocked what happened to other three?
What is this one talking about??.. undecided

The airport has 1 runway for both domestic and international flights

Very interesting piece... quite expository... I love it when people sacrifice their time to put up beautiful write-ups like this for public enlightenment.

Just about everything contained in this article is FACT. I however disagree with the assertion that Oga Jonathan is not involved in the oil theft ring. That he is trying to fight it with whatever policy is not enough proof that he is not involved... He's only just attempting to 'do his job' and ensure the nation doesn't go bankrupt one day.. There is no way GEJ would not be receiving huge kickbacks from the mega proliferation of oil theft under his nose.

1. Have you seen a real ghost before?...
2. Do you personally know anybody who has seen a ghost?

Politics › Re: Do You See Nigeria Changing Anytime Soon- Your View Is Welcomed by obailala(m): 12:45pm On Nov 27, 2013
Hahaha.. change indeed.

A nation where an unbelievable percentage of its citizenry have corrupt tendencies..

A nation where the citizens worship wealth irrespective of how it was acquired

A nation where a person is appointed minister to head for instance, our dilapidated health system... and instead of worrying how to fix the dead system with the meager resources available, you see the person together with family and friends going from church to church organising thanksgiving services for 'divine upliftment'

A nation where every single 'big' criminal caught has a perfect story to link his/her capture to either religion, tribe or politics; and the majority of the masses who unfortunately are gullible would buy into the 'persecution' story and throw their weight behind a common thief...

It's unfortunate but with the mindset of the Nigerian leaders and followers alike, we do not deserve a democracy where everyone has an opinion. The only solution to the Nigerian debacle is an autocratic but 'good' military dictator (doubt if that exists). Else, I see no change in this geographical space.
